This is one of the most powerful vacuums that I have ever used. This replaced a Dyson DC41 animal and it was obvious from the first time that I turned it on that this vacuum is much more powerful than the earlier Dyson. It may look the same but it is not. The vacuum has the famous Dyson attention to detail and has worked very well on carpet and wood floors and on stairs. The self adjusting head works wonderfully.

I got this on sale a while back and it is a great vacuum! It's one of the older models, but it still does an amazing job at picking up all the hair (people and animal) in my apartment from. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars is that the hose is pretty stiff and that makes it a little difficult to use, and it hasn't gotten better over the past 3 months. It also puts out a lot more heat than other vacuums that I have had in the past, but it does a great job at picking up whatever it runs over.

For the money could use some LED lights. Great suction and really deep cleans carpet. It’s heavy and hard to maneuver. Accessory use isn’t the easiest. Don’t like the method it uses to lock in the upright position for storage. Won’t angle low enough to get very far underneath furniture like your bed, in addition to the big ball that gets in the way. Only reason I kept it is because I got it on sale and it does do a great job for just standard vacuuming of carpet and leaves great lines proving how well it cleans the carpet.

I am very pleased with this vacuum. It has all the tools I need and a place to store them. Vacuums thoroughly and easy to clean.

I love it. I have 2 Dyson vacuums now and they both are great and it always freaks me out to see the amount of nasty that gets picked up.

Greatest vacuum I personally have EVER used!!! Works well on all floors as advertised, and transitions well between them. Go straight from carpet, to hardwood to tile and suction is great. Empty the dirt often, for it will fill rapidly in a dusty home. This vacuum is NOT lite!!!!! So if you are searching for a lightweight vacuum, this aint it! If you are looking for a vacuum that VACUUMS better than ANY vacuum you have ever owned, this IS the ONE!!

THIS WAS A GIFT FOR MY MOM WHO IS OLDER. WE NEEDED TO REPLACE HER HEAVY VERY OLD VACUUM. IT IS LIGHT WEIGHT EASY FOR HER TO CARRY UP AND DOWN STAIRS SHE LOVES IT!!!

The suction works great, but if you have thicker carpet it will not work very well. It gets to hot and overheats.

The suction power is grea, but all new vacuums are like that. It is a bit clunky to maneuver and the stability of my previous Shark seemed a bit better as this Dyson wants to fall over sometimes. I feel this has suoerior suction power and fluffs my carpeting better than my Shark did. That said, i woukd not buy this for full prce. I got a great deal on tnis vacuum so it was worth it.

Second one. Really didnt need a new one but i told my daughter if the bigger model goes on sale will let you have my first dyson. The new one seems more powerful suction and gets up the dog hair. We have 2 indoor dogs who shed and this device works on carpet floor upholstery abd holds up to all the hair. I have had several brands over my years for the expensive to inexpensive and this is the most reliabke dependable one have owned that uncludes my kirby had years ago.

This vacuum is Great. I don’t think it’s worth the full $399 but I was able to get it on sale at $220. At $220 it’s a steal. The suction is phenomenal and attachments will cover any needs. The only negatives for me was the suction is so strong that going from flooring to a door mat or bath mat is tough. The vacuum sucks it up. You need to stand on one end to keep it down. I also think it’s pretty heavy at 17.5 lbs. and it can sometimes be finicky when trying to lock it in the up position. Nonetheless still a great vacuum if you can grab it on sale.

if you ever have the chance to buy a dyson it will change how you vacuum. easy to use

Bought this because we needed a good vacuum and was always interested in a Dyson but, really didn't want to spend a crazy amount of money, then it went on sale so I pulled the trigger. Great suction power and ease of use lives up to the hype.

Purchased this based on the reviews that I read about picking up animal hair. Well, it is just amazing. I was somewhat embarrassed about the amount of filth it pulled out of my rugs the first time I used it. It is amazing for getting cat hair out of your carpet. Love this little machine. Easy to maneuver. You won't be disappointed.

High powered vacuum that does what it is supposed to do - suck up anything/everything (just don't get too close to things you DON'T want to suck up, i.e. curtains, pet hair that is still attached to the pet, etc)

We bought our first Dyson vacuum in 2002 and got nearly two decades of solid use out of it. It was, finally, wearing out. So we took an opportunity to buy this one when it was on sale through Best Buy. So far, it's performed exactly the way we expect a Dyson to perform: Great suction, easy to control and well built.

I Love the Dyson Ball Vacuum Cleaners! I bought my first one 6 or 7 years ago and it’s still as strong as it ever was. We decided to put in all new flooring in my 40 yr old house which meant chipping away at 40 yrs of carpet glue, cement leveling mud & construction debris. It caused a lot of dust and unbelievable mess. I decided to use my Dyson as a shop vac. It was great! It passed test after test and sucked up dust and concrete chips alike. I figured we would have to replace it when we finished the project but the darn thing is still going strong. With all new carpet and flooring I decided to get a new one just because I’m OCD. The old one has been relegated to the garage but that’s great too since now I know there is nothing it can’t handle. I highly recommend the Dyson Ball Vac.
