I received it several days ago. Assembly was very straightforward and took only 4–5 minutes . The manual provided to assemble with pictures were great. Moving the handle from the upright position to the sweeping position is much better than other vacuums. The vacuum extender reaches a full 12 stair steps easily. The design of this vacuum is excellent and light, easy to use, versatile. We liked three in one feature of this vacuum and you can go from carpet to laminate floors with a push of a button. It is amazing how much dander, fur, and other stuff it picks up. It is also more maneuverable and lighter than most vacuums I've used. It may not be lightest vacuum but because of maneuverability due to the ball, it is very easy to use. I have used it to vacuum my carpeted curving stairs, hard wood and tile floors. It works well on all floors without changing any settings for floor types. The convenience of the vacuum hose with attachments also allow me to get into my couch or detail the vertical part of the carpeted stairs. I have used it in multiple places in my home and it worked flawlessly with no issues. The powerful suction pulls the dirt from far places. The canister is transparent and it will reveal how fast it fills. It empties without any need to contact the dust. The simple design of the attachments and detachable hose makes them useful. With low profile attachments, it becomes relatively easy to reach under the sofas and tables. Key features • The Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 vacuum is light to maneuver and steers easily into difficult places. Instantly change direction with a turn of the wrist. • Powerful suction across all floors - Cleans carpets, wood floors, vinyl and tile. • Self-adjusting cleaner head - Active base plate automatically raises and lowers to seal in suction across all floors. Combined with a powerful motorized brush bar, it deep cleans dirt throughout the home • Instant release wand - Wand and long-reach hose release in one smooth action, so it's easy to clean up high and under furniture. • Radial Root Cyclone™ technology - Captures more microscopic dust than any other's cyclone. • Hygienic bin emptying - Just push the button to release. No need to touch the dirt. • Filter - HEPA Filter Key Specifications • Weight - 15.6 lbs • Suction Power - 245AW • Bin Volume - 0.42 gallons • Cord Length - 31ft • Maximum Reach - 40ft This is one of the best vacuum for all floor types and best vacuum I have ever used.

I've been a loyal Dyson user since my first DC-07 Animal that I got back in 2005. I dropped $500 on a vacuum and thought it was crazy, but after seeing how much more it picked up compared to our old Kenmore vacuum, I was hooked. Our DC-07 is a beast that has served us well over it's 12 years, but with the chance to upgrade to a v2 Ball, we jumped at the chance! I'm glad we did too! Dyson's claim to fame is that the vacuums don't lose suction - and just like the DC-07, I was surprised by how strong the v2 was. I ran a path in our bedroom, which has thick carpet, with the DC-07 and then ran the v2 Ball over the same stretch. Not only did the v2 pick up more debris that the DC-07 left (see screenshot) but it actually took some muscle to maneuver it on the carpet because of how strong the pull of the vacuum was! Like any vacuum, there's some assembly required, but nothing tedious and no tools required. The first thing I noticed was how much smaller in size the vacuum and canister were in the v2 compared to the DC-07. While this may deter some users who don't want to stop more often, I was still able to vacuum the house on a single tank. The v2 also comes with washable filters and a duster, crevice and furniture attachment. Which was nice, since those were really all we used on the DC-07 also. One thing to be aware of - since the v2 Ball puts all the torque at the connection point, it can be harder to maneuver on thicker carpets than a traditional design like the DC-07. The trade off is how much more debris the v2 collects combined with the fact that the default head also doubles as a low-clearance head. Previously, if we wanted to get under the edges of the furniture, we had to use a different head altogether. Dyson products aren't cheap - the v2 was $400, but one piece of advice my mom gave me was not to go cheap on a vacuum. I've been a happy Dyson customer for over 12 years and I expect, with the performance of the v2 Ball, I'll be a happy customer for another 12! Pros ------ Extremely easy to maneuver on solid floors (tile, hardwood, etc) Lighter weight due to newer build than DC-07 Powerful suction from a low-clearance head Cons ------- Ball design can make maneuvering on thick carpet more of a chore Dyson still doesn't use a retractable cord design for power cord Older attachments don't fit - not surprised after 12 years of design innovation Overall ---------- If you're looking for a solid vacuum that is easy to lift, store and use - save your bananas and pony up for a Dyson. The only difference between the v2 Ball and v2 Animal are the attachments you get in the box. We went for the basic figuring we could always get more attachments later if needed.

The setup for the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 took about 10 minutes thanks to a quick read manual that was attached to one of the handles showing how to assemble the vacuum. There are three main components that you have to connect to one another: The brush that will touch the floor must be connected to the ball, the handle must be inserted through a hose, and a canister that will hold the dirt. The canister is already inserted, but you must unmount it prior to use to remove some tape holding components in place. One of the features of this vacuum is its maneuverability. True to its word, I didn’t struggle at all moving the vacuum around the house. I started in the upstairs area of the house and made my way downstairs. There is a slight learning curve to using the extra connectors, such as the stairs cleaner, but a quick read at the manual clarified what I was doing wrong and I was able to memorize the steps required so that I didn’t need to refer to the manual again. This vacuum also features a bagless canister, substituting the bag for a filter. The filter needs to be washed with cold water at least once a month, rinsed, and sun dried for 24 hours prior to its next use. Seems like a great trade off instead of having to buy vacuum bags consistently. The performance of this vacuum was beyond impressive. This is my first Dyson vacuum, so I have no other Dyson to compare it to. I have multiple pets and a closet that is reserved for them to sleep in when the weather outside isn’t suitable for them. My pets sleep there at night and I release them in the morning. I tested the vacuum in the room. The amount of dirt and animal hair it picked up wasn’t discernible to my eye until I could see it in the canister. The Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 exceeds my expectations. Its ease of transitions for the tools (after learning how) is simple enough that I can see myself not cheating when cleaning and actually cleaning hard to reach areas thanks to these tools. Cleaning up after my pets will now be easier and actually worth it, based on the results of my first use. The price for the vacuum in terms of value is adequate. It is true what they say, you get what you pay for. In this case, you get a quality product that has set the bar of vacuums so high, it will be hard to want to try another brand. I highly recommend this product for people who are in the market to upgrading their existing vacuum or looking to make their first purchase. The removable canister and washable filter will make cleaning less of a hassle. Anyone can learn to use this vacuum, as all the features are easily accessible.

    Improvement on near perfection

I've owned a Dyson vacuum for several years and have sworn by their vacuums ever since I switched from alternative makes. Their Ball Multi Floor 2 has improved on just about every account. I was able to assemble it fairly quickly with about four main steps once you get it out of the box. You can feel the improvement in the power immediately, however you can hear it as well as it seems to be a bit louder than the prior version. I believe the cleaning power and versatility makes up for the noise. The extension cord is longer than the prior model, long enough to reach most standard room areas without having to search for another outlet which I had to do previously. The attachments fit neatly on the side of the unit without getting in the way and are useful on stairs and other tight or out of reach places. The canister is larger than the previous model and is just as easy to take off and clean. The ball mobility is great when steering the vacuum. This new version also has a button that you can turn the spinning brush off which helps when going over small rugs so they don't get sucked up and roll around the spinning brush. If something catches on the spinning brush, it was as simple as pulling it out after turning the vacuum off and then it was right back up and running after I turned it back on; no need to reset the spinning brush. My only question would be can a vacuum be too powerful? It did leave substantial lines on one of our area rugs that eventually came out with some traffic. It almost felt as if the vacuum suction cupped to the rug itself, which I suppose was the intent to suck out all of the dirt the prior model couldn't get too. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in the market for a vacuum and consider it a long term investment because you won't have to replace it for years assuming you take care of it.

The Best Vacuum I've ever owned.

I don't get excited about vacuuming often. So this is definitely a first. I recently tested this against my standard run of the mill vacuum that's known for their "vortex" suction, and is considerably more budget friendly. I first did a pass with the other branded one in my living room to see what it would grab. I hadn't vacuumed in the last week, and with my two dogs, found plenty of dander and pet hair. I then went over it again with the Dyson, and was able to clean up even more. Like filled the canister more. I did another pass with the other one, and it didn't find anything, aside from a leaf I had missed in the previous two passes. I then did the bedroom with the Dyson. Same basic living situation with my small dogs. It quickly vacuumed up everything, and with ease. I didn't find myself running out of power cable either; which is a problem with my other one. Once I finished vacuuming up the bedroom, I did a pass with the other vacuum, and it didn't pull up anything. I mean zero dirt, dander, or pet hair. The easiest test by far, is my stair well. The other vacuum required an extension cord to get to the bottom. Note: I don't have any power outlets near the entry way (I have a private entry stairwell). The Dyson easily had enough power cable to spare, and didn't require odd positioning to do the job with the included tools. I also like that the brushes stop spinning when the vacuum is upright. No more launching dust into the air when I pick it up to hit the next stair step. This is a MUST buy for those of you that don't like having to deal with a secondary hard floor tool (you just push a button on this one), and for those that want to spend less time, with more effective results, cleaning around the house. I loved this so much, I've already recommended it to my friends and family. So, stop reading this if you're worried it won't do the job. It goes above and beyond any other vacuum in it's price range, and those claiming to be as effective at a lower price point.

so far we love this vacuum. first, the picture was more yellow. not a fan but decided to go with it. When we got it, it was orange color similar to those chrome orange car colors you see. Orange happens to be my favorite color so some points there. putting together was easy. took a second look to figure out how to attach the attachments because I did not realize that there was a piece I had to put on first. kids love how it looks as well and all wanted to use it. of course I had to pull the Dad card and use it first. the cord is a good length. easy to dump out. when I first got to use it, it was late at night so did not want to disturb neighbors. but I wanted to try it out to make sure it turned on. when i turned it on, i was impressed that it was not louder then i thought it would be. it makes noise but it was about half the noise our past vacuums made. I pushed it forward and back and moved over and did that again. about a 3x3 spot or so. we just had our floors done professionally a month ago and we had vacuumed earlier with a Oreck vacuum (the ones used in hotels). and this vacuum picked up a lot in just that small area. then we finished the front room and it was full already. it has a good suction to it and I was impressed. it auto adjust so you don't have too. I also thought that just the top of the cyclone part would be orange (well yellow). but the whole cyclone area is orange. instead of the top part orange and the bottom part grey. so I like that. the hose is also strong and works well. I like that its already there and that it auto switches to the hose when its upright. the hose is part of the handle. so you just slide the back part up and then use it. beats having to pull the hose out of the vacuum and then attaching the plastic part to it to use. with this its already there. then you just pull vacuum down like you normally do to do floors and it switches from the hose to the floor heads. I also like that you can turn the brushes off with a push of a button. so when you do hard floors you turn them off or if you have carpet that may get damaged with the brushes on, you can turn off and use on that carpet. I don't really have anything bad to say about it but I suppose a few mentions. can get caught at times when placing the hose back. you have 2 parts, the bendable plastic part that can stretch out and bend and then the hard plastic wand part. the hard plastic part slides into the bendable part. so you have to make sure the bendable part is straight. you also cant push it all the way in. as you start to slide it in you then push it into the handle of the vacuum and slide it down and lock it into place. not a big deal at all and its easy and just thinking of something to say. again I am impressed and enjoy it. its new so I hope that I can come back and update in 6 months, a year, etc and report back that its still working great. if you are reading this and its been 6 months, a year, etc and no update. then it probably means its still working great as I would definitely try to get on and post if something happens and it stops working or something.

    Powerful Vacuum

This is a very powerful vacuum. After the first time I used it, upon emptying the container, I noticed a lot more fine dirt and dust that my previous vacuum was missing. Along with that power, the design of this vacuum is very appealing. That may sound strange, but it's well-designed and I imagine many people wouldn't be afraid to have this in view if guests were over. Speaking of the design, Dyson has done some clever things in how the hose and attachments are stored. Everything seems to be very neat and doesn't get in the way when you're using the vacuum and the attachments aren't in use. It is also very easy to maneuver, thanks to the ball design. With the width of the floor vacuum and the ball design, you can make quick work of vacuuming. Using the hose attachment can take some getting used to, since it is a bit different than other vacuums I've used in the past. It sort of collapses inside the neck/hose of the vacuum. Not a bad thing at all, just a little different. I did face a couple of issues, while minor, may be of more importance to others. First, the main floor vacuum part is pretty wide. This is great for most of the flooring, as you can cover a wider area at a time. Though, it became a bit of an issue while trying to get between some shelving and things. Along those same lines, there's a sort of bump on the front of the vacuum too that prevented me from getting under a couple pieces of my furniture. Again, neither are a deal breaker, as you could use the hose and attachments to reach those areas, and I think the good outweighs the bad of having the wider area coverage. There also isn't a light on the front of the vacuum. Not a huge deal, but it would be beneficial at times to have one. Pros: Easy to move, wide cleaning area, powerful, nicely designed Cons: Can't quite fit into some smaller areas (under/between furniture), no front "headlight"

I was excited to try the Dyson Multifloor 2. My home has a a mixture of tile, hardwood, and area rugs so I was hopeful that it would prove effective on all these surfaces. I have used various vacuums over the years but none seem ideal for use on all three surfaces. Unboxing was easy enough. I was surprised at the size of the vacuum. Smaller then I would have thought. For assembling I referenced the photo assembly instructions. Pretty straightforward but I must say I struggled with some of the parts to get them connected. All together assembly still took no more than 10 minutes. I've always liked the look of Dysons. The Multifoor 2 doesn't disappoint in that sense. A stylish and futuristic looking unit. The build quality seems exceptional with solid parts and accessories. One note of possible disappointment is the upper cable hook holder for the cord. Just doesn't seem substantial enough to me. Maybe it will last forever. I was anxious to see what a Dyson could do so I fired it up. The motor sounds strong. Loud but not piercing or annoying. I started on my tile floors and then pushed the button for carpeting as I moved to an area rug. One can certainly sense the power of the suction particularly on carpeting. The size of the vacuum is great for accessibility around furniture. The ball design also proves excellent in regard to maneuverability of the unit. The Multifloor 2 is also lightweight enough that I didn't feel exhausted from use. I absolutely love the length of the power cord. Much longer than other vacuums I've owned. From prior frustrated experience I know immediately that this further reach will come in handy. As I complete a short test run I peer into the canister in amazement at the amount of dirt collected. I had vacuumed the same area rug only two days earlier with my old vacuum. I live in a clean home and vacuum weekly. I can honestly say I didn't expect to be impressed by a vacuum but the amount of crud pulled from my area rug was astonishing and somewhat disturbing. I could now understand the reputation of quality that Dyson has earned over the years. They sure aren't kidding when it comes to suction. I did notice that the packaging repeatedly prompts to clean the filter monthly I'm sure in an effort to preserve this superior suction. Emptying the canister is a breeze. I next tried the attachments. Being a novice I fumbled pulling out the hose. I'm sure this will come with time. The hose and attachments were super functional. I love the reach of the wand. Great to get ceiling corners, drapes, and light fixtures. I used the brush attachment on upholstery and was again very impressed by the suction and the exceptional cleaning ability of this Dyson. The Dyson Multifloor 2 performed exceedingly well on all my various floor surfaces. From hardwood to tile to area rugs I had a new sense of truly cleaning my home. Highly recommended.

This is the first Dyson product I’ve ever owned. After a few weeks of use, I’m impressed. From out of the box to up and running must have been less than ten minutes. After double checking everything, I fired up the vacuum cleaner. Was a bit louder than I expected, but I suppose loud is good when you are talking about suction power. As I walked around the house, I could see a bunch of lint and other random dust starting to enter the chamber. I like that you can actually see if your vacuuming is doing anything useful. Going forward I found that being able to see in the canister is a huge benefit in knowing when to empty your vacuum. With my old vacuum, I would just keep vacuuming away and never really know when I was getting near that full threshold. It took me a couple cleaning cycles to get used to driving the vacuum. If you’ve never driven a Dyson ball it can feel a little bit disjointed at first. Eventually you will become an expert in controlling the device. It really can turn on a dime. My home is mostly hardwood floors with a couple of area rugs thrown around. Was pretty cool to see the vacuum automatically adjust to the different surfaces. I guess you could call the Dyson a “smart-vac” My home is three levels and the stairs are hardwood as well. Pulling out the wand was super easy. Much easier than other vacuums I’ve previously used. Putting it back in was something I didn’t master on the first cleaning but after a couple days I was an expert. The wand had excellent reach. Great to get those cobwebs on ceiling corners. I used the brush attachment on our couch and was able to easily pull out lots of crumbs the kids had created eating on the couch. I was able to clean my largest room without having to disconnect the power cord. Having such a long power cord is something every vacuum should have but most don’t. Being able to see the amount of dirt you collect will also have you emptying your canister more often. This probably lends itself to better cleaning. I loved how there were no bags involved. It was great that many of the filters and parts can just be rinsed clean with water. Dyson recommended doing this a monthly basis. Not sure how vigilant I will be over the long haul. A 5-year parts and labor warranty with lifetime support is another great benefit of buying a Dyson. I see Dyson out on social media trying to answer everyone’s questions. Nice to see a company making sure their customers are happy. Would find the model best for your home as each serves different purposes. Worth giving a try.

My wife and I thought we were clean people.....were we ever wrong! We have a vacuum that we thought did a decent job. It picked up dirt every time we used it. In comes the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 which changed my entire outlook on how clean my house is. Unboxing the vacuum only took a few minutes. Some minor assembly is required. Just snapping pieces together, no putting in screws or using special tools. After putting it together I vacuumed my living room 3 times, and look at the picture to see for yourself the amount of dirt this vacuum picked up! It is light weight, has a small frame, and it turns on a dime! The ball that the vacuum rolls on makes turning corners and dodging objects a breeze! The extendable wand is already attached to a hose, not taking apart any pieces to but it all together. This vacuum effortlessly transitions from carpet to hard floors with the push of a button that turns off the brush roll. The vacuum auto adjusts to the carpet or floor height to keep good suction on the floor. All in all, I should have gotten a Dyson YEARS ago! You will never believe how dirty your carpet really is! Try it, you won't regret it!

I've had the Dyson Ball Multifloor 2 for a couple of weeks now and have used it sufficiently to give my real-world impressions. First off, although Dyson advertises this machine as being "light to maneuver" don't expect a lightweight machine. It weighs in at nearly 16 pounds and you will definitely feel that heft when hauling it up and down stairs. Second, this thing is *LOUD*! If you think you can do some cleaning without disturbing a sleeping baby or significant other, think again. Won't happen. Third, the "instant release" wand comes out like a breeze but it needs a bit of finessing to get properly back into place, but after a few uses it becomes second nature. Those are about the only nitpicking things I can say are wrong with this vacuum. The pros definitely outweigh them all with ease. I have owned many floor cleaning machines over the years and the suction and cleaning power of the Dyson is second to none. To test it out, I used my previous machine (another high-end brand) and went over a rug in our den. I then immediately went over the same rug with the Multifloor 2 and was amazed at how much dust, hair, lint and fibers were pulled up. I was convinced and my old machine went directly to the curb and I haven't looked back. The ball makes this machine turn on a dime and the relatively low height of the powerhead allows it to go under most pieces of furniture. It takes some getting use to the turning abilities of this machine but after a few minutes of use it almost feels like an extension of your body. The floating suction plate does a really good job of maintaining cleaning power when changing from one floor type to the other (like from tile to kitchen rug, etc.). Emptying the dust bin involves nothing more than pressing a button, and the whole dust bin assembly can be broken down for ease of cleaning. Another great benefit of this machine is the massively long cord. Unlike other machines I've owned, I can cover 99% of my 2500 square foot two-story home from just 2 outlets, one upstairs and one down, while I previously had to stop mid-cleaning on each floor to move the cord to another plug. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but it's just one more thing to not have to think about. Having a 5-year parts and labor warranty with lifetime support is another great benefit of buying a Dyson. If you're on the fence, don't hesitate any longer. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is definitely true, and the Dyson Ball Multifloor 2 is well-worth it's substantial weight.

I got this vacuum after using another premium brand for years. The vacuum I had was designed for tile/wood floors and very low pile carpet (rugs really), which means it didn’t have a beater bar or rotating brush. We moved into a new house that had bedrooms carpeted with more of a medium depth, but the suction on our vacuum was really strong so I didn’t replace it. When I got this Dyson, I let my teenage son use it first and you can see the results in the picture I’ve uploaded. He vacuums his room at least twice a month, and we thought the carpets were getting clean, but the Dyson showed us the truth. This thing is STRONG! It is also very easy to assemble out of the box. The instructions are all graphic and quite easy to understand. I had it out of the box and powered up in less than 10 minutes. I will admit that, in my haste to try things out, I didn’t realize there was a button that allows you to turn off the power brush. I managed to suck about ¼ of my entryway rug up before I could hit the power. Lesson learned. Coming to this from a canister vacuum showed me what I had been missing in maneuverability, a feature enhanced by the ball-joint from whence this vacuum gets its name. A simple twist of the wrist allows the head to effortlessly turn in either direction; especially helpful in getting up against the toe-kick of the kitchen cupboards. There is plenty of cord to reach the entirety of any room you’re cleaning and the detachable handle/wand provides good reach for ceiling fans and cobweb-filled corners.

I have to admit I have never owned a Dyson product, however I was curious on what all the hype is about. Well after using the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 I know why. The unit does an amazing job cleaning carpets as well as bare floors in seamless fashion, automatically adjusting as you roll from one room and one surface to another. The rotating brushes in the head of the unit do an amazing job cleaning, it picks up embedded dirt and dust that was left over time by lesser vacuums, the suction is incredibly strong. This Dyson uses their revolutionary ball design, which enables it to maneuver and glide its way through furniture filled rooms with ease. The attachments are easily used once you figure out the unique design. The set of attachments do a great job on stairs, even without the moving brush mechanism found on other units I have used. I thought this would not be the case, however this is where the incredible suction eliminates the need for a moving brush. The rest of the attachments work equally well and fit seamlessly into the body of the unit in an innovative fashion. When you look at the unique and sometime perplexing design of the unit you wonder why ? Well this is engineering at its best, similar to the quality and thought put into an iPhone. My wife also loves how lightweight the unit is, easily carried when cleaning a set of stairs. The unit also has a extra long cord, with a heavy duty plug for durability. It does take time but the design and uniqueness of the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 is well worth getting used to. Pros: – unique design – cleaning ability – warranty and support – versatility of tools – long and durable cord – cleaning head auto disengage when for instance picking up a sock with the powerbrush mode Cons: – no foot peddle to unlock from storage mode, questionable how durable the stand mechanism will be over time – sometimes feels like you need to be gentle with it – on/off and brush on/off could be located in a better place – pricey, but depending on long term durability it might be a better value (if regularly replace vacuums every two years it seams)

Overall this is a nice vacuum. It is very light, yet powerful. Assembly was a breeze, less than five minutes (10 minutes if you count unboxing) from start to finish. The suction of this unit is amazing! I was impressed at how quickly and effortlessly it removed very fine sand from our carpets. Transitioning from carpet to hard floors were seamless. The power head adjusted its height accordingly to accommodate the different flooring heights, and the roller ball makes navigating around furniture, corners, etc. a breeze, it almost practically glides across the floor! This vacuum is made entirely of plastic, which unfortunately makes it seem a bit cheap, my older model Dyson at least had a metal extension tube, I know this doesn’t seem like much, but it made the whole system feel a bit more robust and sturdy. I was slightly disappointed to find that to retract the extension tube you have to press a button, rather than simply reseating the wand on to the unit like some of their other models. This model also has a very small dust cup, which will need to be emptied frequently. Thankfully this is extremely easy, efficient (simple as pressing a button), and hygienic. You may want to note that unlike some of the older Dyson models, this one model does not lock in the upright position, so leaning it back to transport is not an option. I cannot fault Dyson for making this change because for some the locking mechanism on their previous models was a bit too strong for some users. Rating Summary: Pros: + 1 star each: +Powerful suction +Washable lifetime filters +Lightweight +Long Power cord +Long extension tube +Quick Assembly +Easy turning/navigation +5 year no hassle warranty Cons: - 1 star each: -All Plastic -Small dust cup -Only comes with 2 accessories (1 stair tool and 1 multi-tool)

This is the first Dyson vacuum that I have owned, and I have to say that after years of owning multiple vacuums, this one sure takes the cake. This vacuum combines mobility and power without having to sacrifice anything in either department. The way this vacuum moves takes a little getting used to, but compared to the generic vacuums, it makes pivoting around corners and tight spaces extremely easy. All you have to do is twist, and the vacuum turns. No more having to awkwardly shift the vacuum and miss spots. They way that the vacuum can detect your carpet level is also an interesting concept. You also have the ability to switch off the scrubber when vacuuming bare floors. The suction from this vacuum is unmatched. I don't own the friendliest of carpets and it usually take two passes to remove all the dirt, but the Dyson basically did it in one. Even the detachable hose maintains its suction power. The amazing part is how light weight this vacuum is. I hate having to awkwardly lug a heavy vacuum up and down the starts but this Dyson weighs only 15 pounds and has a convenient handle to carry the vacuum with. This Dyson vacuum has many perks, and I really only have one complaint with it. Because it is so lightweight, using the detachable hose can be frustrating sometimes because the vacuum will tend to follow the hose instead of staying in place. Compared to how great this vacuum is, this is a very petty complaint and seems like something that would be difficult to solve without making the vacuum heavier. Overall, I am completely satisfied with my Dyson vacuum. I have no problems recommending this product to anyone looking for a quality vacuum that beats out all the other generic brands in the market.

My main impression and experience with Dyson products is that they take appliances that we take for granted and either put a new spin on them or combine great performance with an appearance that goes above and beyond. My impression of the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 does not change this for me. Apparently this is the second/newer model/version of their Multi Floor bagless vacuum, although I'm not aware what the difference is between the two. What I did notice is that this is an elegantly styled vacuum that does a great job of vacuuming our home. It has an auto-leveling system so you don't have to adjust the height based on the thickness or pile of your carpet. It has a very generous length cord, which I greatly appreciate. Because it is bagless, there are no bags to replace although you do need to clean the filters regularly. Like most bagless vacuums, the canister should be emptied frequently in order to get the most performance from the vacuum. Due to the "Ball" design, it can be maneuvered quite easily and can even get into some low clearance areas I wouldn't expect it to. There are many attachments included which help with vacuuming either up high or for those crevices you can't get to normally. Overall, it seems to be constructed of heavy duty plastic, which keeps the weight down. Even so, the plastic is painted/accented in a way to convey more of a metallic appearance. Most important of all, the Dyson seems to do a great job of vacuuming both carpet and floor and the 5-year warranty should help towards piece of mind.

I've owned a number Dyson vacuums over the past 10 years and the new Ball Multi Floor 2 is the best yet. It was super easy to assemble out of the box..literally 3-4 pieces clicked together and you're off and running. We have multiple floor types in our home, hardwood, berber carpeting and some area rugs that are a bit longer shag style. The Multi Floor 2 handled them all with flying colors, and does so automatically. There's no need to adjust anything, just turn it on and the vacuum's head self- adjusts to the floor being cleaned. Another great feature is the easy-to-use wand. It releases quickly and easily, and can extend up to those hard to reach over-head areas. As with most of the Dyson we've owned, this model uses the Ball technology for easy maneuvering. It turns on a dime and gets into all the nooks and crannies. The suction power is incredible, I had wanted to go with the Animal since we have a small dog, but find that the Multi Floor 2 gets all the hair out of the berber or shag carpets without an issue. The only downside I see with this model (and to be fair I'm comparing it to smaller/less powerful Dyson models) is it's a bit heavier than I would have expected. Not overwhelming, my wife thinks I'm just being picky. Overall, the Dyson Ball Multi Floor 2 has been a no brainer...easy to use, super powerful and have not had a single issue. I feel that it's worth the $399 price tag.

Vacuum cleaners are a bane in this household. In the 20 years we have gone through 30 vacuums. Not a joke! They simply break down. We have tried Hoover, LG, Eureka, Bissell, etc. Price and quality are not the issues. We stayed away from Dyson because we felt it was more hype than function. Friends told us to try Dyson but we still stayed clear. Who wants to spend $500 on a vacuum because with our luck it will break. We were off base! After trying the Multi Floor 2, my wife and I are impressed. This machine is a work of art, lightweight, quiet, and works great! It really sucks up dirt. The rolling ball makes cleaning effortless and easier to maneuver. People told us that the Dyson is worth every penny and I believe they were right! Love the Dyson MF 2!! The cannister does not hold much but it's easy empty. I excitedly put the Dyson together and used it...felt like the carpet had not been vacuumed in weeks. What a difference!

This is the first Dyson product I've owned and I see what the hype behind Dyson products is all about. Just the look of the machine says a lot about its quality. Out of the box there were about three pieces to connect. I turned it on and the first thing I notice is the suction power. It cleared everything in its path leaving nothing behind. I love that you can use this on floors and carpet. There's a button next to the power button to shut the suction brush on and off. Turn it on for carpets, turn off for floors(tile, wood, etc). Or choose the way you want use it! I love that option. Then, located in the handle there's a long pole vacuum to use on everything else that just as powerful as the floor vacuum. I like the base being a ball so that you can maneuver around object without having to move them. Emptying dirty can't be any easier also. You just press the button and the bottom of the bin opens and the dirt is gone. One thing I don't like is that when emptying the bin all of the dirt doesn't come out without banging it against the trash can. A lot of dirt gets left behind. If there was a way to rinse that part out after usage that would be lovely. This is not a deal breaker though. If you're thinking of purchasing you will not be disappointed!

Been using the Dyson along with my wife and we both found it easy to maneuver around furniture and floorboards. Turns on a dime and rolls around easily. Oh, did I mention this thing is really yellow. We have hardwood, carpet and tile in our home. Also a kid, pets, her friends, me, my wife, our friends, so it can get messy. The Dyson went across all three surfaces without missing a beat or loosing any suction power. The cleaner head is one of its best features, works really well. Suction power is insane, easily the best I've ever used on a vacuum and it picks up everything on one pass without going over and back again, saves some time. The instant release wand and hose is good for getting under furniture and the tops you can't really reach, works well and is a handy feature. Also the 31 ft. power cord keeps you from unplugging it and moving it. We can reach pretty much the whole house just moving it once. Dyson has engineered a really great system to empty the canister when you're done. Hold the canister inside a trash can, push the button on top and the bottom opens and emptys itself. No reaching in the canister to clean it out. All in all a really well built, well engineered vacuum that works as advertised and even comes with a five year warranty. Well worth the purchase price and recommended.
