This vacuum has been the answer to the carpet/hardwood transition in my house. The Dyspn goes seamlessly from one to the other with now adjustments needed. It has given me back my living room carpet as well, leaving the area rugs and wall to wall carpeting looking great

The sales person was very helpful in assisting me in completing my purchase. The dyson suction up more dirt than I realized was in my carpets. Easy to put together and begin using.

Great suction and good price on sale. I would wait for a sale though.

I have used this vac for a month now and I love it. It slides from bare floors to the carpet with no problem. It picks up everything on the floors and carpets leaving a perfectly clean surface. Its very easy to clean too.

Love the strength of the vacuum, will always buy a dyson from now on.

I am disappointed with this vacuum. Pros: I love that it doesn't have a disposable bag. The suction power is great, and may be too strong (wish there was a way to adjust the suction power). The filtration seems great -- no sneezing fits after vacuuming! Cons: This is an extremely noisy machine, particularly when using the wand with attachments, especially the stair tool. Stair tool is less than 5 inches wide, rendering it useless. Using the cleaner head doesn't fully vacuum dust off of hardwood floors – it seems that I will have to separately purchase the "articulating hard floor" tool to get the job done right. The wand is extremely awkward to use: the hose retracts too tightly and pulls the vacuum if you try to use it fully extended. The hose crimps and blocks the suction since it doesn't have any curvature where one's hand holds it. (I note that all promo picture show the hose extended fully straight -- is it not supposed to be used at an angle?) The cleaner head is rather wide and not ideal for smaller spaces. Cleaner head with beater turned on can easily suck up fringe and edges of thin rugs, and in fact has shredded the edges of a sisal rug. This is not an ideal vacuum for those with lots of rugs and wood floors who want to try to clean both at the same time without continuously toggling back and forth between using the cleaner head and the wand. The machine feels flimsy, cheap, and wobbly. The handle always feels like it is about to twist and snap off. My 20 year old Miele is a far better vacuum in terms of design and quality.

Thee = Suction is good the canister is not very big have to empty before finishing. the cord is fustraetng get all over the place should have been a place to the cord up near the top so having the cord trying to keep it out the way while in use just a little clip

This is what I was looking for. Strong suction and mobility for hardwood and carpets.

It was black Sunday. I stood browsing at some vacuums because the one I had wasn't so great. I saw this on sale. This vacuum has a lot advertisements about being great and all so decided to give it a shot. I got to admit this vacuum is way better than previous vacuums I've used. It has a very powerful suction than the other vacuums weren't able to pickup. Also, another feature I like is that it has a suction hose to go through the most hard dense narrow areas. The only disadvantage is that the suction hose is kind of rigid. But, overall after using it a few times its great and well worth it. That's if you get it on sale.

This vacuum was easy to put together and super easy to clean! We have guinea pigs and I vacuum up hay all the time. It does a great job and I won’t go back to any other brand of vacuum!

This vacuum really removes a lot of the dirt from the carpet. My carpet actually feels softer to walk on. To clean the filter is very easy. The vacuum is very light and easy to maneuver.

So I would give this a 4.5 if I could. I was beyond impressed at how much it picked up after using a shark vacuum for 6 years. I now see the difference in quality. The one thing I do not like is we had a hard time trying to get the hose attached properly. It was crazy how long it took us to figure it out and we had to YouTube a video to see what we were doing wrong. That said I still had to fidget with it to get it back on. Also I do not like how you can’t bend the hose to get hard to reach areas. Yes it reaches far more but it doesn’t have the ease the shark had using to hose to get better angles. I will say I also love the look and colors. I kind that is nothing about the performance but hey it’s a bonus.

great looking vacuum does what it is suppose to. a little pricey

The vacuum has great suction, the attachments are easily used and the main function performs as advertised. It is also a flexible vacuum getting into most any section of the floors of the home. The chord length is excellent also.

This vacuum pulled so much stuff out of my low pile carpet that my friend who has severe dust allergies hasn't sneezed once since I bought it. Impressive and lightweight machine.

I love this vacuum cleaner! It's sturdy and has a strong suction. I can use it on hard floors and carpets without having to switch from one mode to another. Cute color too.

I really like this Dyson. It is on the smaller side, lightweight and easy to maneuver around. It is used in a normal housedold with people and pets making the usual messes. I have mostly laminate floors but a couple rooms still have carpet. I find the transition from one type of flooring to another is automatc and smooth. It does an excellent job keeping up with our pets hair. I do wish there was a way to adjust the suction for throw rugs and blinds and a no tangle brush head would make it perfect, i gave it 4 stars for that reasom-but its an excellent vacuum I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

this machine is everything it is cracked up to be a little over priced... but when you can get it on special it is well worth it ... nice not to have bags and it is easy to clean
