I bought this for my sister. She has a newborn, a dog and a cat. Her report on the vacuum is "it is amazing!" The attachments are easy to use. The vacuum is very user friendly and it doesn't take up much space in her apartment. She said it does a great job picking up all the dog and cat hair off the carpet and furniture.

This is our 2nd Dyson. Our Upright Animal motor blew. The investment to replace the motor vs putting that $ towards a new vacuum was a no-brainer. Besides, it was about 8 years old and newer, stronger motors have come out since then. We loved that vacuum. It was always super gratifying to see the canister fill with dirt, fur and debris every time I vacuumed. The last time I used it was 2 days prior to getting our new Dyson. When I turned it on, first off I was amazed at how much it felt like it was super suctioning to the floor! Then I was amazed and somewhat grossed out by the mass amount of just plain dirt/dust it sucked out of my living room carpet. The carpet I had happily vacuumed less than 2 days prior. The canister had almost 2" of dirt! Woot! With the allergies in my home, (yep ~ cat allergies and we own 3 cats...) I am really excited to see if the awesome suction power of the new Dyson helps alleviate some of those issues. I do know that I will definitely have cleaner carpets. Very happy and have zero regrets!

Excellent suction. Tank smaller than I would like but more frequent emptying is worth the difference in price between this model and the Animal. My biggest problem is getting used to the ease of turns compared to my old Dyson! As some of the reviewers stated, stability in the upright position is not great and a little annoying

When this item went on sale that was the best time to pick one up. The suction is great and its light weight for my wife to carry. Dispensing the collection is easy, press a button and the bottom opens up. For the money I would expect that they design it so the bottom open much more so the collection does not cover the bottom lid. They should also include a recoil system instead of having to rap the electrical cable around two points. Wish they also included a thin retangular attachment to get into thin or narrow places. This is very much a basic vacuum that performs well. According to Customer Report there are several others that does a better job with suction, but looked to bulky or heavy not esthetically pleasing for my wife

it is a little hard to vacuum with the extended hose because the suction is so strong but it does the job.It's easy for me to maneuver but I do wish you didn't have to pay extra for some of the attachments.Since the price is pretty expensive all the accessories should come with it. Pretty easy to empty and take apart to clean.The vacuum does blow out hot air so the area you are vacuuming can get pretty warm very quickly near the ball.

Before I bought the Dyson I did quite a bit of research. I really didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money on a vacuum, but I also didn’t want something that wasn’t going to do the job. I initially bought the Shark because the reviews stated it was the most bang for the buck. After about 5 minutes of use I repackaged it and back to the store it went. I opted for the Dyson instead. The Dyson is powerful and lightweight. Only issue I have is that the hose can be a bit temperamental and that the bin does have to be emptied quite frequently. Other than that, the Dyson is a winner. Plus I got it on sale!

Incredible suction power, even the wand and attachments.The attachment wand telescopes out of the main hose connected to the handle of the machine. I have found it to be a bit cumbersome in some tight/close spaces, but it's cleaning power is better than any other machine I've owned. Be aware that this machine may be too powerful for lightweight throw rugs. It is fairly light and very easy to maneuver. The dirt canister removes and empties easily. The cord is not retractable. For cleaning power and maneuverability I give this machine a 5. The non retractable cord and awkwardness of the attachment handle gets a 4. I would rate this machine a 4.5 overall.

Found it lighter and more powerful compared to the one I was using earlier. Powerful suction and light weight make it perfect for thorough cleaning with ease.

I am a HUGE Dyson fan to begin with, but my last Dyson lasted me well over 14 years and I still have it. It broke in pieces (although still works, because of my own neglect). I bought this one to replace it and it's lightweight, easy to use (even if you have issues with your hands like arthritis). First use and I'd sworn I hadn't cleaned my carpets ever! LOL It cleaned super well on all surfaces, it's great for cleaning high up areas too! Dyson is ALWAYS a great investment!

Very effective vacuum. Picks up amazing amount of dirt, making the convenient bagless feature important. Adjusts automatically to height of carpet. Nicely integrated design with easy accessible to attachments. Lightweight. Easy to maneuver and carry.

What can I say....it's a dyson. Purchased this for my mom, I've had dyson products for over 6 years now and will probably never get anything else. People always trying to compare shark with dyson, if they were equally matched their prices would be the same. Like they say, you get what you pay. Besides that, the customer service at a dealership is unmatched. I had minor issues with mine after normal wear and tear, took it in after 3years of use, told them what was wrong, the gentleman took it back with no questions asked, brought it back after 5 min and it literally felt like day one again. He replaced the roller brush, skid plate, and fixed the clutch. The best part in my opinion, is the fact that there is no airborne dust from the vacuum. I highly recommend any dyson on the market, you won't regret it.

This vacuum is so easy to use. It is lightweight, the suction is powerful, and of course the Dyson ball makes maneuvering around furniture better than any other vacuum I've had. I used to hate vacuuming because of the bulk and getting it up and down stairs. With the Dyson Ball you can take it up and down stairs without the workout and there are plenty of attachments. It's also bagless and easy to empty. The only downside is that it does not have a retractable cord but overall it's the best vacuum I've ever had!

Overall very happy with the functionality and usability about a month after purchase. 4 stars for Assembly: took some maneuvering the main suction tube to securely sit in the stem 5 stars for mobility: Lightweight, ease of use 5 stars for cleaning: powerful suction as promised. Going to take some effort to get all the dust/dirt out of the filter and holder now!

We had heard lots about Dyson vacuums and pretty much everyone we checked with love theirs. There are so many different models with little differences. This one is easy to use and my wife likes that it is lighter than our other vacuum. I have done most of the vacuuming in the past so it will be nice to share the task! I have never liked bagless because of the mess of emptying dusty debris into a bag and having to wash filters. Dyson can't fix that issue. My wife doesn't seem to mind. I told her to empty it outside so we don't get a cloud of dust in the house. We like the hose that easily comes out for edge work, and there are a couple tools. I found a bigger dusting tool that I can purchase separately that will allow us to do our popcorn ceilings and our walls more easily and quickly. I am excited about that prospect. Don't ask about the color. I don't really see color, so I am fine, but my wife wonders whose idea it was to make that color. :)

This Dyson Ball vacuum has incredible suction and is easy to maneuver on carpets, getting into corners that can be difficult to reach with other vacuums. The canister fills up quickly but emptying out the dirt and cleaning the filter is simple. It's a premium-priced vacuum that has some heft and gets the job done.

After my whimpy DC40 I was hesitant to buy another Dyson. Surely my old Dyson was easy to take apart, to clean and replace filters but it was poor on suction. The Multifloor 2 is in another league. It makes small work of carpet and hard wood floor dust. In fact the suction is so strong that the dust canister is hard to empty as the dirt gets tightly packed in it. Better to empty it when it is two thirds full. The unit is easily manuvrable to male tight turns and reach under furniture spots. It is also effectiveon corners. It is a great helper.

The best vacuum I've ever had, immediately cleaned the entire house with it and in record time. Easy to handle, took ten minutes to assemble, very practical long cord to limit replugging. Durable. Also the hose length is unbelievable. I cleaned a ceiling fan with it. Thx!

Well designed to move easily and get close to edges. Picks up a lot of dust & dirt very quickly - best suction I've seen. Having some issues using it on thick carpet so need to call Dyson.

This is a great product - easy and light weight enough to use throughout the house. Cleaning is thorough. The only drawback is having to wash off the filter monthly.

Did a lot of research on the next vacuum that we thought we were going to buy and ended with this awesome Dyson instead. The associate at Best Buy was nice enough to show us our first choice and then recommend us trying out the Dyson just for the heck of it and I'm glad he did. The Dyson ended up blowing the other models out of the water. Brought the Dyson home and did a side by side comparison with the old vacuum and I immediately felt gross after seeing what the Dyson picked up right after using the old vacuum first. I would recommend the Dyson line of products to anyone.
