However with no motorized head it’s rather hard to use on anything except hard floor and the handle of the floor tool is all plastic and started cracking

The rotary brush is powered of the seal that is produced from suction to the floor. The fabric seal pulled off after second use. The canister is hard to lock into place and kept dumping dirt in the floor. Basically useless and a waste of money.

Dyson cleaner heads are designed to seal to the flooring for optimal suction, but our Dyson's machines are made from polycarbonate ABS which is the same material used in riot shields and crash helmets. We subject them to 50,000 hours of testing and 550 individual tests. All of this to ensure they can withstand a lifetime's hard use.
