    Not worth it for that price. Even on the highest speed, I barely felt air coming out. The $50 fans work better.

    Very compact and nice looking fan. It has so many good points, flexibility of how far you want it to go up to 360 degrees! For me it is used in the bedroom and does provide nice even airflow. Obviously it’s more than a fan as it also has a hepa/cleaning aspect as well. The remote is nice and I like that you can keep it on the fan (magnetic). It does not have an app that I could find but you can get all the benefits from just the remote or the fan itself and it’s pretty self explanatory. Expensive for sure but it is a brand you can trust to last a long time and work well. One cool feature that will interest a lot is how quiet it is, you can barely hear it which is nice especially in the bedroom and also has a dimming feature which is very thoughtful/mindfull. Again the only drawbacks would be it is pricey, and no app for controlling it by phone that I have been able to find. I have not found a better quieter fan to date and feel this not only looks great but also works great! Recommend it.

    Funky. Art-deco. Futuristic. Space age. Cool. Whoa! So cool! These are just some of the reactions of the guests who came over for a Halloween party and found the Dyson Purifier setup in the corner of the living room. The next few minutes of curiosity induced questions revealed a few things about the product: At just under 3.5 feet it makes a visual statement just being in the room. The lack of fan blades boggles the mind. And that’s a wonderful emotion each time you look at it. 350 degree oscillation is just amazing, though only functional for more than a party trick if you have a room that matches the dyson.com website marketing videos and you’re willing to make this thing the center piece of the room. We don’t have that layout in our home so its relegated to a corner; where it still looks great. After discussing placement options with our party guests all of them agreed that this is not the kind of product that should be front and center in a home. Most of us would rather have a ceiling fan that services the same purpose as that’s already centrally located in most rooms in most homes so why not purifier they air from the top down. It’s still cool to turn on 350 degree oscillation. In normal day-to-day operation placed in our living room, the Dyson didn’t seem to do much. Our living room is an open floorplan that shares the other half of the room with our kitchen. Even when almost burning bacon, cooking fish, or other smelly foods, we found that the Dyson (when set in Auto mode) never picked up speed and most of the time stayed in it’s lowest setting which was a bit disappointing. So if Odor elimination from cooking is your expected goal I suspect you’ll have to have this placed directly in your kitchen as close to the stove top as possible. What surprised us the most is that we have a couple of other air purifiers in adding rooms and those always kick in to full gear and do a great job of clearing out the room of any odors as soon as we start cooking. So after a few days of being in the living room we decided fresher more clean air would be more beneficial in our home gym. The gym has a fan that does not oscillate. Since arriving in the gym and being set to Auto, the Dyson has not turned off. It just quietly oscillates at 45 degrees. Which led to our next disappointment: it has no understanding of room temps. Looking at the product sheet it’s not supposed to know anything about room temps, but this is a huge missed opportunity. Our gym is a converted bedroom with two large windows and a Peloton treadmill. Peloton instructions don’t mess around and when a HIT run is happening that room is on fire. Why can’t the Dyson detect the change in room temp and turn up the cooling? And without any app integration, there’s no way to link this thing to Siri or Alexa or Google so my shouts of “turn up the Fan!” To the Amazon Echo devices in the gym has no impact but personal frustration and heavier sweating. At least there’s a remote control to turn up the fans. A few days of experimenting with fan speeds, and when it comes to cooling off a treadmill running sweaty dude, the max of this thing is 10, you really only need a 6. And I’m very happy with the cool air actually being cold and at least mentally I feel better breathing deeper knowing I’m sucking in purified air. As to the device itself, the lack of a app integration or any link to smart home devices or Home Assistant is another missed opportunity. I want to see a future version of this device add support for Matter or even just basic integration with Amazon’s Alexa or Apple’s HomeKit to allow the speeds to be adjusted higher or lower as required.

    I'm a huge fan of air purifiers. (Yup. I did that. Knock it out of the way early and it's smooth sailing from there, right?) But seriously. I've been using air purifiers for a few years now. Thanks in huge part to Best Buy and their affiliates. It's great because my kids all have some form of breathing disorder. Whether it be allergies or asthmatic issues, it really helps to keep the environment free of pollutants and impurities, in general. So, when I decide to cook and the air gets filled with the aromatic smoke and such, the purifier goes into action. Enter the Dyson Purifier Gen1 TP10 This thing is huge. I mean, not so much as it's a bad thing for being so. But more along the lines of, it can be a little intimidating to take out of the box. But once it's out, all you'll need to be concerned with is where to place it. It's big enough to place on a hardwood floor and not risk it being easily toppled(preferably in the corner of the room or, if you've got a cool island in the center of the room, that would do well there.) The thing about this air purifier is that it's a Dyson product. And Dyson doesn't do anything simply. So it's also a full-on oscillating fan. And this baby is very capable of turning a full 360°. Now that's a fan. There are two( count em) two filters at the base of the fan. This is where all of the purification happens. And with the assistance of the My Dyson app, you'll be able to keep up with things, such as when to buy and replace those filters. You can even order said filters right from the app.( How convenient? $$$) But, for real, that's the best way to get the right products you'll need to make sure you air purifier is working as best & for as long as it can. Now, you may have noticed a lil sump'n, sump'n on the top of my unit. Well, yes. That is a neat little remote, so you can control your TP10 from across the room and it's sitting snugly on top of the fan via magnetic force. That's right. The remote is magnetized and it sits safely on top without fear of loss. Now, once you take it off and give it to your spouse, you may just want to go ahead and order your replacement on the app that we spoke of earlier. There are options for oscillation degrees, starting from 45°. All the way up to that 360° that I spoke of. Then of course, there's fan speed, purification and Auto Mode, so it can sense any impurities and get at cleaning the environment. There's also a Night Mode that will allow you to get all the benefits of the purifier, at a whisper, silent tone and the LCD indicator is even dimmed, to keep you from being too distracted. In closing. Let me just say how much I love how simple this is to use and how efficiently it does its job. So I can't not recommend this air purifier. I recommend this to everyone. Especially families with respiratory issues. Even if you don't, this will make your home a more comfortable environment for everyone that enters your doors. Thanks to Best Buy & Dyson,for allowing me the opportunity to have this in my home. And thank you all, for taking the time to read this review.

    Pro: -Quiet at low to mid setting -Display air quality -Remote Con: -Less airflow compared to traditional fan -Loud at higher settings -Expensive The fan is great for cooling while purifying the air. It produces a cool breeze but without feeling the air turbulent of a normal fan. While the air is cool, compared to a traditional fan, the airflow isn’t as strong. It needs to be cranked up, but doing so will make it noisy. It doesn’t have the low rumbling like propeller fan, but more of a higher pitch hairdryer. If I don’t need to have the fan cooling the room, I set it auto and just let it run quietly as it cleans until it detects particles in the air. It does an excellent job of purifying the air. I had an instance when the air quality was really bad, and the Dyson kicked in at full power and started purifying. It showed that the particulate level was very high, and after an hour it slowly started to wind down and the air level was clean. The filter is easy to replace. The small circular screen can be cycled to display different information. By default it shows a graph for the air quality that is being filtered over time. It can also show the different levels of particles detected and the filter life. With the remote, you can adjust the fan level, turn on oscillation, set the sleep timer, set it to auto, and display information.

    This is a purifier, not an fan. Does it work? I have no idea. I take a look at the filter from time to time and it doesn't look gross yet. Maybe my house is cleaner than I think.

    I was a bit disappointed in this fan/air purifier. I have an older version of this product and I was expecting this fan to be more powerful than my older product. I would not recommend this purifier/fan combo if you are looking for a decent fan.

    Would not recommend

    I bought this fan in hopes of having an air purifier fan combo but you can barely feel the air moving even on the higest setting. I tried to like it but its just not worth the hefty price tag and to make things worst i tried to take it in last night to return it and best buy would not accept my return beacuse i was 2 days over the 15 day limit and because it was opened and used. Well how else am i suppose to know if it’s good if i dont try it? Like are you kidding me its just 2 days. I called for a manager and a supervisor posing to be the store manager came and still did not accept my return. Said i was 2 days past return policy even tho their policy states if im not satisfied i can return it for a full refund. i will be contacting corporate for the insane inconvenience they put me through and how their useless staff was unable to do anything. i do not recommend purchasing anything from best buy you’re better off buying from amazon at least
