There was a bunch of reviews that had me hyped about getting this product bought this in the fall season which made me wonder how well it would perform in the summer months. More humidity more heat and even in cooler temperatures it barely had me cool even in the coolest nights of the fall city in New York of all places. If you have been to NYC you would know it gets pretty cool here in the fall but this fan was a disappointment even in the cool days here in the city. So after letting this fan last 2 weeks had to return it was not for my liking for those who like bladeless fans cudos to you. I was just expecting so much more from this fan especially after reading so many positive reviews. Maybe these reviews were from people who worked for the company.

Our Purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.
