    Recently purchased the Dyson V10 animal and have been blown away with the cleaning power. I used the hand held attachment to clean my couch thinking it would just take away hair and clothing residue. I could not believe the amount of dust it pulled off of what I thought was a relatively clean couch! Well worth the splurge for a vacuum purchase.

    I needed a cordless vacuum for pet hair, cobwebs, baseboards and cabinets. I needed it to be light weight to lift for my vaulted ceilings. This is perfect. It goes from carpet to hardwood. I don't believe this unit is intended for whole house cleaning. You do have to hold the trigger and I believe this would be too tiring. I love it.

    Don’t get me wrong it’s the best vacuum I’ve had but 6 months in and it’s basically broke. Really expected more for the brand, hype, and price. When trying to vacuum it cuts off, doesn’t matter how hard you squeeze the trigger it just stops. Should’ve saved my money and just bought a cheap brand that I’d expect to break.

    Canister fills up so fast, there isn’t a on or off button, you have to hold it with your pointer finger and its so heavy that my hand was hurting, dies quick & takes forever to charge. Does very well with the hardwood floor but for the price it’s not worth it. You can find better.

We can confirm that you do need to hold the trigger down, in order to maintain power to the machine. Currently, the only cord-free models we have with an on/off switch are the Omni-glide and V12 models. We would love to hear more about your experience, and help with any issues you may be having.     This is my third Dyson because the other two have worked well for years and it is easy to use and empty. I have been amazed at how versatile these are. I have one located on each floor of my home and this one was for my new lake house.
