Light and powerful, easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Light and powerful, easy to use. I ordered a (Lanmu) extra attachment holder for the wall, which I'm baffled Dyson did not provide with purchase (knocked a star off for that). Once I secured to wall with a couple extra screws in the plastic holder for stability, even my kids can put it on the wall without wobble. The vacuum itself is super easy to use, and at power-level 2 is plenty powerful to fill up the bin multiple times in my thick carpet. Max-level will drain battery quickly, but I haven't seen the need to use it yet after a month of use. On my wood floors, I really like the smooth attachment and it shocks me a little to see how much crud is visible in the bin. Pulling it backward will push debris on top of carpet/floor, but forward works perfect, so it handles a bit differently than older style vacuums. I imagine this is due to the way the attachments suction to the floor. The high-pitch motor noise does not make my little dogs run away, which surprised me. My older larger Dyson makes them scatter. The bin size is fairly small of course, but that is fine since I chose mobility/weight/size over the clunky larger ones. I can do half my home on a charge, but I've found that I vacuum more because of it. Or I mean, more frequently. I think the frequency increased because it is so much easier than always plugging into a wall. Overall, I really like it and would buy again.

Great product
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product for my needs. It has 3 suction settings and 6 attachments. The only thing is the battery life. If you use the highest suction setting the product will only last for 20-30min depending on the attachment you use. It’s good for a quick use. It’s cordless which makes it easy to use and I can get a lot more rooms cleaned in a short amount of time and it picks up everything on my floors. I purchased it to clean up my 130lb Italian mastiff’s short hair in his bedroom. He sheds each day and it spreads throughout the house and mainly in his bedroom. It’s not a cheap product and does not last a long time, but it’s an awesome product and good for my needs. I also have 2 animal cord vacuums. One on each level of my home. I hope dyson enhances the battery life to at least be able to use for an hour or close to it on high suction. We shall see in the future what else they come up with. I love dyson and I don’t purchase any other products from any other company.

Not for long haired dogs
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, this thing should be able to handle anything, especially when marketed for pets. It clogs frequently on my husky’s long fur and I spend more time taking it apart and picking the fur ball out than actually cleaning. It will continue to run, but won’t pick up fine particles and dumps them on the floor when you turn it off. It’s a great vacuum if you don’t have long, coarse haired dogs. I suppose it does such a great job picking up dirt and fur, but I wish I could return this. I am not happy. I was hoping that for $500 I could use this to replace the old fashioned plug in, but I still have to drag it out to get the job done. I do love the “soft foam roller” for hardwoods and my 80 year old neighbor is able to use it because it’s lightweight. Also very powerful but once the filter gets dirty it won’t work on the highest setting- it just “pulses”. Pictures are of the clog that happened every time and requires digging out. Maybe if the canister was wider it wouldn’t get stuck and block the intake?

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal cord-free. We were sorry to hear that in your use, you found that the vacuum clogged so frequently with your dogs hair. If you are finding something difficult to pick up, or noticing that debris is getting left behind, please keep in mind that your machine will offer three suction modes for use with cleaning around your home. Along with three different suction modes, you will also have a suction control slider at the cleaner head for use with cleaning across both hard floors and carpet. As a result, we would not expect you to require the MAX suction setting, as it is only intended for use with tough cleaning jobs and also provides the least amount of run time, while providing additional power for the job.
In suction setting 2, Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 20 minutes of run time with a motorized cleaner head or up to 30 minutes when used in suction setting 1. Without the motorized cleaner head, Dyson Cyclone V10 will provide up to 60 minutes of run time on a full charge, making it our longest running cordless model to date. We'd value the opportunity to learn more about your experience with your machine to help ensure that you are able to enjoy your machine as intended. Please consider emailing us directly at askdysonUS@dyson.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
Best wishes,

Best Vacuum EVER!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am in love with my Dyson Cyclone V10!! It is so powerful! I vacuumed on a regular basis with a regular cheap vacuum before and I thought my carpets were clean. Well they definitely weren’t! The first time I used the Dyson on my stairs, I had to empty the bin every 3rd step because it collected so much unseen dirt, hair, and dust. It was amazing! My carpets look brand new! The attachable parts are easy to use and work great. My house is spotless and I actually enjoy cleaning now because of how great it works!!

This machine really SUCKS!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am amazed at the amount of pet hair that this stick vacuum picks up. I have a good vacuum, but it's cumbersome to haul out just to do a touch up. This is perfect for quick jobs. I did add an attachment I found online. It expands the number of attachments that can be stored. That way everything is in one place.

You will be amazed at what this thing can do!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was ecstatic to be able to get the opportunity to try out this new release from Dyson. If you have experience with Dyson, you'll realize this new release changes the playing field from a great vacuum to a game changing vacuum. In case you wanted a summary, buy it! You won't regret it, there isn't anything like this out there. I'm experienced with vacuums, I have two long haired dogs - a long hair chihuahua and a long hair German shepherd. Two different kinds of hair, both long hair, but one more oily and fine, the other more coarse and lots of it! If you are new to Dyson, you won't notice the subtle changes since their previous releases. You'll see a vacuum that is unlike anything you've used before. There are others who look like this, but there is only one Dyson. When you open the box, you see everything well packed, laid out in logical slots of cardboard, to ensure nothing gets broken. Front and center is the user guide that tells you to call if any problems. You won't have any problems. This is the easiest thing to snap together and get started with. All of the pieces have quick snap/release red buttons to allow you to switch pieces with and without the wand. Imagine a vacuum erector set. Need a dust brush without the wand? No issue. Want to put that dust brush on the end of the wand? Sure. How about the mini powered head without the wand? Absolutely. It works the way you need it to. The vacuum comes with plenty of tools to satisfy most. The only thing I wish it had was a hose, which looks like you can buy online. I would not use the hose too often, but would come in handy for cleaning some things like some weird hard to clean spots in the car. But mostly everyone will be happy with what is included - a soft dust brush (keyboards, picture frames, and such), a dust brush that slides with a type of crevice tool, a dedicated crevice tool, two floor tools (this is big news), a powered mini-beater bar tool for furniture, drapes, etc. and a mounting bracket to keep it all neatly held to the wall until needed. There really isn't anything more you'll need for your day to day cleaning. Okay, so how does it work? I have to say it is the most advanced Dyson to date, and that is no small feat. All Dyson vacuums are fantastic and amazing, I know first hand. This though, this takes you to the next level. Rugs were cleaner than ever. I could see it loading the hair/dust into the bin as I cleaned them. Same with hardwoods. By the way there are three motor speeds. 1) low as will be for most day to day cleaning 2) for rugs if plush style and 3) for maximum messes. I go with 2 because there is so much dog hair and dust from the dogs in this place that the residual suction grabs hair that isn't in its path. This thing will use a single vacuum head to clean tile, hardwoods, carpet, laminates, etc. without needing to do anything special - just vacuum. When you are done, you disconnect the wand and press the button to get the dirt/hair/etc. into the trash can - it is a point and shoot feature. It works. You just point, move the red handle, and you are good to go. Snap the little door back up and you can continue on. For a 1500 sq. foot townhouse, doing the first floor and stairs, I used 2 battery bars of 3. I'd say that is very good given how much stuff it gets up and how long it takes me to move through the process, go back and forth, etc. I went back over things to make sure I didn't miss anything, and I could tell this was working well because I didn't get much else up as I kept going over it again thinking I missed spots. There are more settings and/or functionality with the tools themselves. There is a battery indicator, a clog indicator, and a clean filter indicator, a huge upgrade from a previous version. Also the tank is larger and "in line" with the wand, cyclones, motor, etc....Dyson says it improves suction, I can tell you it is true, it works better than I expected. All I can tell you is that Dyson has changed the dust level in my house. I have HEPA filter units around (serious ones) that are on 24x7. There is still hair and dust that naturally occurs with keeping shoes on, dogs, pollution, etc. But I've cleaned with Dyson and see how much dust comes up with it. When I have used others, the dust reduction isn't there. And not the amount of hair is being picked up. That is fact. I have an air quality monitor to record dust, VOC's, temp, humidity, etc. Dust goes down with Dyson....period. And this is so important to respiratory health - I'm not a weirdo about it, I was a 9/11 first responder who is trying to keep myself and my family in clean air, despite the common dirt and hair associated with having dogs. Dyson helps with this a lot. Look at the pictures, you'll see all you need to see to be sold.

Dyson does it again - great vacuum
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having owned a Dyson V6 cord-free vacuum I wasn't entirely sure that the move up to the Dyson V10 Animal Pro cord-free vacuum would be worth it. After using this for a week I can say it was worth the upgrade. These stick vacuums by Dyson are just so convenient. My family has gotten a lot of use out of our old V6 and it is still running strong and holding a great charge. We are a family with a dog and a cat so we appreciate our Dysons in the battle against pet fur. The V10 Animal has some new features that have really come in handy. The vacuum head has a sliding tab that will increase or decrease the suction power. This has really come in handy on different floor types. We have a short pile, area rug in our family room and setting this tab to a lower suction makes vacuuming an area rug so much more effective. If you have a Dyson you know they are not lacking suction power so this feature really does make it easier to vacuum a low carpet. Slide the suction back to high and the V10 works great on a higher pile carpet such as what we have in our bedrooms. Honestly, I wouldn't have even used our old V6 on our higher pile carpet, but the V10 is great for a quick cleaning. Bare floor cleaning with the Dyson cord-free vacuums is very effective. One can make quick work of picking up dog fur, dust bunnies and other debris with no hassle from a cord to drag around. I have never run out of battery charge in using our Dyson cord-free vacs for cleaning. The one hour battery time of the V10 should meet any challenge for families with kids and pets. One of my other favorite features of the V10 is the larger dust bin. It is strangely fascinating to see just how much dirt and fur the V10 is capable of picking up. With three different power levels clean up is easy no matter the surface or amount of dirt to tackle. Lastly, there is a great collection of attachments that come with the V10 Animal Pro. One would be hard pressed to think of a situation there isn't an attachment for. I especially like the small, rotary head that can be used on furniture to hand vacuum the inevitable fur that our pet friends leave behind. My family is a big Dyson fan and you won't be disappointed with this particular model and some of the new features it has to offer. I know Dyson is not the cheapest vacuum out there, but it is definitely a good value for the use you will get out of it.

Possibly the Best Light, Cordless Vacuum Ever
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.WOW, this is way more powerful than my Central Vacuum System! I couldn’t be more impressed with how the sweeper head moves perfectly around angles, goes smoothly under the sofa and other large pieces of furniture, hugs the baseboards for maximum cleaning, grabs all crumbs under the kitchen cabinets and renews the look of my carpets. It’s light, cordless, has its own charging/storage station and it’s ready and charged when I need it! There are attachments for different types of flooring and tasks, small or large, and it even turns into a handheld vacuum! Did I mention that it is CORDLESS? That it has three speeds and 2 different floor cleaner heads? The torque drive cleaner head moves dust, ground in dirt, and pet hair for a deep clean. The suction and amount of dirt in the dustbin from using this cleaner head on the MAX setting is tremendous and results in delivering renewed carpets. I was astonished and somewhat embarrassed by the amount of dirt in my carpets because I had just vacuumed the carpets three days earlier. The other cleaner head is fluffy and designed for hard surface flooring such as hardwoods and tile. The Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro Cord-free Vacuum also has attachments for dusting and upholstery. It includes a crevice tool and a mini motorized cleaner head. There are 6 attachments in all, the smaller ones can all be used with the unit when it easily transforms into a handheld unit for quick cleanups and vacuuming your automobile. Free from the confines of an electrical cord and plug, and light enough and balanced enough to hold upward and reach corners of my 9’ ceilings, I can now easily clean cobwebs and the grills of the return air ducts without nearly as much effort as in my cleaning techniques before using this product. The dirt bin is easy to empty and has a MAX line that the literature warns against filling too full above this line. The instructions also recommend that the filter be washed at least monthly. It is on the top of the unit and is also very easy to remove. When I opened the package, each piece was securely placed in cardboard and I unwrapped them one at a time. I installed the charging/storage plate to the drywall using the two drywall anchors and screws that were supplied. They too are packaged in a very small lineal cardboard box that I almost tossed; however, I didn’t because it was secured to another piece with blue tape. This was a very easy and quick installation. The charging cord fits securely into the charging/storage station and this station holds the unit while charging. The charging station/storage, of course, must be installed near a 110V (USA) electrical outlet so the plug can be utilized to charge the battery pack. There are three indicator lights that illuminate while charging and while using the unit. These lights designate how much charge is left in the battery pack. I assembled the vacuum prior to charging. Each of the three main pieces clicked firmly into place in a matter of seconds. The instructions also warn about charging at least 3 ½ hours before using the vacuum, and I think they are serious because they taped the trigger of the main unit. It also says to unplug the unit if it will not be used for an extended period. Dyson designs are top quality. The low profile and slim design of the cleaner heads allows easy vacuuming in unusual and/or low places under furniture. The main reasons why I purchase Dyson products is for the quality of design and their conscious attempt to provide a cleaner environment. Dyson designs take each piece of their products and design them to be part of the whole design. The whole design is created with the concepts of aesthetics, function, endurance, and durability. The other reason why I purchase Dyson is because of my allergies. Living in the Ohio Valley brings a lot of unwanted airborne particles. The specifications concerning the filtration of this vacuum states that it captures 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns which means that it captures dust and allergens and refines the air creating a cleaner environment. My first use of the vacuum was deep cleaning of carpets using the medium and maximum settings and the torque drive cleaner head. The vacuum used two of the three bar indicators on the battery. The next time that I used the vacuum, I ran the fluffy cleaner head on the tile and hardwood flooring. I was still on the second bar when I was completed. The specifications state that the vacuum has up to 60 minutes of fade-free power, but that the actual run time varies based on the power mode and/or attachments being used. Still the vacuum is very powerful with the 7-cell lithium-ion batteries. One of the things that I initially noticed upon turning the vacuum on was that it was quiet. The specification also state that it has been acoustically engineer with acoustic baffles that are built into the motor. Dyson products are designed to be powerful, functional, and easy to maintain. Each of the cleaner heads have been designed with a small turn screw that releases the roller for cleaning and removing strands of raveling, etc. I already mentioned the waste bin and how easily it ejects dirt into the trash bag and the washable filter on top of the unit. Its important to keep all of these moving and working parts clean and free of dirt for maximum power and to extend the life of the vacuum. Dyson knows this and has made maintaining the vacuum as easy as possible, to the point that it is almost effortless. Dyson also makes it easy to register the product and provides the serial number on the box, the warranty form and the back of the battery pack. The Dyson Cyclone V10 has a 2-year limited warranty and the product can be registered online, by text or telephone call, or by filling out the included form and mailing it back to Dyson. I don’t think I have ever been as impressed with a cordless bagless product anything close to my excitement about cleaning with the Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro Cord-free Vacuum. This product is not only aesthetically designed and very nice looking, it REALLY CLEANS and does not break my back to use it. This is a very, very nice vacuum and I am thrilled to be an owner because I have 2 small West Highland Terriers, a very busy life, and I normally do not like to vacuum. If you don’t like to vacuum, love a clean house, are tired of wrestling with cords and getting stools to reach up high with various unbalanced attachments, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU TAKE A LOOK AT THE Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro Cord-free Vacuum. I think that you will love it too!

Super Powerful, 7 Minutes Run Time
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish I had read the product marketing material more closely. Perhaps I would have seen the real run time of 7 minutes. Instead, I read 40 minutes and thought "great, I can vacuum in that time". 7 minutes in and the vacuum dies. Go on the website and read average run time on full power is 7 minutes...great. Only on the low power setting, which makes this vacuum no better than the ordinary vacuum does it run the full 40 minutes...and that is without any attachments. If you just need an occasional vacuum in small areas, this is probably a good fit. But if you live in a condo as I do with both carpet and hardwoods and you are hoping to use this to vacuum the entire condo...it is probably not the vacuum for you. Pros: Ergonomics, Great suction on high setting, nice attachments. Cons: Needs a larger battery...7 minutes on high power is ridiculous.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've been disappointed thus far with the run time and battery life from your Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro. We speak to our owners frequently and they tell us that cordless vacuums have changed the way they clean. We hear they clean more often, but in shorter bursts, spending less than 20 minutes per clean. Please keep in mind that your machine will offer three suction modes for use with cleaning around your home.
Got Pups?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 3 dogs and 5 Sugar Gliders. 1 of my pups is a Silken Windhound named Valarius, whose beautiful long hair can be found on him and just about everything else. I've had good vacuums in the past but none as light and easy to use as the Dyson V10 Animal Pro Cord-free Vacuum. The first thing I noticed is how light this unit is. It comes with enough attachments for every nook and cranny, including powered heads for hard surfaces, carpeting and stairs. All 3 work flawlessly and really get the job D*O*N*E* The 3 other attachments are as versatile as there are areas that need to be cleaned, ie plantation shutters, fan blades and so on. I started with a fully charged Dyson V10 Animal Pro Cord-free Vacuum, and cleaning upstairs with the carpeting head in the Sugies room, the stairs and hard surfaces all in all about 1200 square feet, and according to the power meter have 3/4 power left. Not bad for the MAX setting. I also liked that one needs not ever get their hands dirty clearing the dirt cup. Push the red lever, done! The Dyson V10 Animal Pro Cord-free Vacuum is a pet hair, dirt sucking lightweight highly maneuverable powerhouse. Dysons best offering to date. Cheers!

Beyond my expectations
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great machine! At first I was a bit hesitant because some reviews talked about short battery life, but I'm not one bit disappointed. The short battery life refers to using it on the highest suction mode, but when I use that mode the suction is so strong I can barely move it on the carpet. The lowest suction setting is more than adequate, so I would reserve the highest suction for an extreme situation, perhaps to suck dust out of the center of a couch cushion. This is super easy to use, easy and simple to switch out the accessories. The wall mount and charger keep it out of the way and charged. Super easy to empty (no bags needed(yay!) -tho' you have to watch it because the chamber is fairly small (not really a problem and it keeps it light weight). I like the soft roller head that's included with this model because rolls smoothly and is very effective and gentle on hardwood floors, tho' I'd still be happy if I bought the less expensive model which doesn't include this attachment. Because it's cordless, it's so easy to grab it for a quick pickup, without having to unwind the cord etc., and quickly put it away. The cleaner head easily turns to any angle making it easy to get into corners and crevices. I never thought I would have a stick vacuum because most of them seem awkward and heavy to use, but this one is light and easy to use. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I probably wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't on sale, because it's expensive, but even at the non-sale price I think it would be worth it when comparing to every other vacuum I've ever used.

Almost perfect!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dyson has the best quality products for the home. The Dyson V10 Animal Pro does not disappoints. It picks up hair, dust and small trash like crumbs with ease. The small motor is very powerful. Easy click on and off accessories for fast interchange. Build quality is the best in this category just as the accessories that come with it. It has something for just about any job in the house. It has no problem picking up the dust from any difficult spot to get to such as the bottom of the baseboard. My wife loves the simple way to clean the vacuum itself. It was easy to install the wall mount and connect the charger. It comes with simplified instructions for mounting it and cleaning the canister with water. Battery life is average, a good 30 minutes with heavy use. The only issue I have is that the battery is not interchangeable, but is not worth taking a star sine this a personal preference.

Great cordless stick vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very powerful cordless stick vacuum that comes with all the attachments you need to clean your home and car. It’s lightweight and surprisingly quiet. We have a four cats, one of the cats is scared of everything, and a little dog that barks too much. The vacuum is quiet enough that the dog doesn’t bark when we use it and none of the cats run away. In fact I can vacuum right next to the cats sleeping on the sofa. I have to move them to finish the job. Most importantly the vacuum works great. I have a 10 year old Dyson canister vacuum that I thought was still working good and only bought this cordless stick vacuum as a quick use option for small jobs and furniture. Turns out the cordless stick vacuum is more powerful than my old canister and much easier to maneuver so now I only use the stick vacuum. It states it has an hour run time on the battery. I haven’t used it for a whole hour yet but I’ve been able to finish all vacuum jobs without running out of juice. Also, I got a good Black Friday sale of $200 off due to the release of the newer model which only adds a feature I didn’t need. Overall a great product. Should have switched to it sooner.
