Pricey but worth it!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this vacuum during Black Friday sales. I have been wanting one for several months and finally decided to pull the trigger....and I don't regret it at all!! Awesome suction and very easy to use. The battery life has not been an issue for me as of yet. My main floor is roughly 1300 square feet and the Dyson V10 has no problem with the whole floor on medium power. I spend the most time on medium power.... High power is VERY powerful but does drain battery pretty fast (approx 10 minutes). The attachments are well thought out and easy to change out. I do not like how the wall mount does not have enough slots for all the attachments! I feel like for the price being paid Dyson should have thought of a better design. That being said I bought an attachment extender off of Amazon which allowed me to store all my accessories. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and happy I waited for the Black Friday deal!

Vacuum well worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This vacuum is 100% better than all of the cordless/stick vacuums I've owned. I've always been a fan of Dyson but often times have chosen other options due to the price. However, everything about this vacuum is well worth the money. The battery life is excellent and the battery power indicator is very helpful. It has different power levels which is very helpful depending on the cleanup needed. All of the attachments are very easy to use and efficient. I like that it comes with a docking station, although I wish it held all of the attachments instead of just a couple. I read previous reviews about the trigger being a little tiresome to hold down the whole time, but I got used to it--that as well as the size of the canister. I highly recommend this vacuum.

It's GRRRRREEATT!

Absolutely Incredible
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is our third Dyson Animal vacuum. (All three are still working great - we just decided we wanted one for each floor of our house.) This is our first "stick" vacuum, and it really delivers. Relatively light, easy to carry around the house and even up and down stairs. It picks up dog hair very well. Our dog (beagle) has white hair and sheds a lot, and we have some dark area rugs. This vacuum very easily leaves the rugs looking brand new in one run-through. The clear basin makes it easy to see how much dirt/debris you're picking up (satisfying to me) and makes it easy to know when you need to empty it. The charge lasts 2-3 uses. This thing is incredible and worth the price.

Powerful and perfect for pets
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Powerful cordless vac. I have three dogs and this vac is the perfect antidote to the profuse shedding and dirt they track in. It is especially good on hardwood floors and the attachments really make it useful. This vacuum is worth the money, as it makes cleaning up fun and easy. Another plus is the rapid speed of the charge. The battery life on the highest setting is much shorter than the other two settings, but overall it is a great maneuverable and efficient vacuum. Even emptying the dirt trap is satisfying, like racking a shotgun.

Lots of power and battery!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from an older shark vacuum, it's crazy to see how much more convenient it is to have a cordless vacuum. Battery is really great, and the effectiveness on low power setting is better than our corded shark. We have done full house vacuuming on a single charge so far and had no problems. The only complaint from my wife is holding the trigger can be tiring after some time, but I had no issues with that. My only complaint is... you ARE spending $$$ on a vacuum.

lightweight and nimble work horse
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little beast makes the task of vacuuming so much easier. I have it mounted on the wall in my office so access is quick and easy. No digging the vacuum out of the closet. The cordless feature is great. No unwinding/rewinding and plugging/unplugging a cumbersome cord. Just pull it off the wall mounted charging dock and it's ready to go to work. As far as actual performance, it's perfect for my smaller home. I do the carpet on the medium setting with the powered beater/brush bar and bare floors on the low setting with the powered soft roller. For extra powerful suction, there is a high setting that is stronger than any other vacuum I have ever had ... Electrolux, Shark, Dirt Devil, Bissell, and Panasonic are a few of my previous vacuum manufacturers. Granted, you can only use it at that setting for 10 minutes but when you're actually working, you can get a lot done in 10 minutes. The powered soft roller is perfect for bare floors. It sweeps as it vacuums and leaves nothing behind. No hair, no dust, no crumbs. It cleans the surface perfectly. The powered beater/brush bar does a great job on low to medium pile carpets and rugs. It picks everything up very well but it doesn't do much for "grooming" the carpet to make it look brushed. Either attachment has an awesome pivoting feature that makes it very easily maneuverable. Although, ripping around the house like a race track does put a little pressure on your index finger you use to hold the power trigger. There is kind of a trigger guard and it rubs on the side of your trigger finger rather uncomfortably. That needs a little more research and development considering the price of this vacuum. I would not have bought this at full price but the sale price was too good to pass up for the features, performance, and ease of used of this vacuum.

Great Cleaning With Power to Spare
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This light weight but powerful cordless vacuum is just what the doctor ordered. Powerful cleaning heads and brush accessories are included to tackle any messy job. Works like a charm on both carpeted surfaces and smooth tile or wood. The dirt cup is easy to dump and suction booster switch helps to muscle through any mess. The machine holds a charge for an extended time and piercing vacuum noise levels are lower than expected. I love it.

Cyclone V10 Animal is a Work Horse
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second dyson cordless stick vacuum purchased from Best Buy. The other was an early model about seven years ago. This Cyclone V10 is tremendously improved. The suction strength has tons of gusto making dirt vanish. The old model was a struggle to clean the intake valve area. Now the inflow tube part is exposed when you empty the canister making it easy to wipe off preventing decreased suction. Most helpful for me as I have two parakeets. They molt often throwing feathers all over which used to clog the inflow continuously in my older unit. This V10 works with ease when cleaning over head wall corners and light fixtures. I have yet to run out of battery life post vacuuming for a long spell. During this Covid lockdown I have been busy vacuuming all dusty surfaces. The Dyson Cyclone is definitely not inexpensive. Yet hoping it's quality will pay off in efficiency and longevity. I have two complaints. Switching cleaning tools or dumping the dirt a red button must be pushed in which is most difficult. Thinking it will loosen and become less stiff with usage. This is painful for me as I have arthritis in both thumbs. Also it would be most helpful if there was a way to keep the unit on continuously when vacuuming which creates hand fatigue. Over all I am happy with my handy dandy V10.

Perfect for apts
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this for about a month. I upgraded from a Dyson that is around 5-6 years old. It's a neat system and is kinda funny that Dyson effectively killed their older, corded product lines with this. The only thing you really need is an outlet nearby where you plan to charge. It comes with a holster that will hold the power adapter and the cord is roughly 4-5' in length giving you enough room to hang it at a comfortable height. Things that I have noticed so far, is that the power is substantially greater than my previous model. Because I'm weird, I did a run through a room with my old vacuum, and then followed up with the new 1. Maybe it was age, maybe the tech has improved that much, maybe a combo of the 2, but it was disgusting how much more dust this new 1 picked up AFTER already having cleaned the room not 5 minutes earlier. The battery will last about an hour before it needs to recharge. If you live in a large house that takes more than this to clean, be prepared for a few hour break while it recharges. The hardwood head works well for pulling dust off the tile and wood floors. I still have to go back and mop, but I no longer have to break out the broom and dustpan. The rest of the attachments are pretty standard fare and work as intended for their jobs.

Great but battery limited
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this, except you must know it’s limitations. You can do probably a 2,000 sqft house on medium power. On high power, 1,000 sqft max before a recharge however the fact that you can just grab this off the wall and go is a game changer from corded products. Light, fast, and agile.

Not impressed with this overpriced vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really don't know what all the fuss is about a Dyson vacuum. Bought a full sized one about 15 years ago and felt it was overpriced. Decided to try out this cordless model after years of reading all the amazing reviews. Whelp, once again, I feel this is very overpriced for what it offers. It's no easier to use, more powerful, or cleaner to empty than other high-end cordless stick vacuums that are half it's price. The slide mechanism to empty the basket is clunky and sticks at times. It often needs a few passes to pick up crumbs and debris. The regular rotating head attachment is loud and clunky sounding. The soft roller bar attachment shoots debris around and often doesn't pick up larger crumbs. The power trigger must be constantly depressed to run the vacuum and my hand gets fatigued. Just overpriced for what it is. This purchase has confirmed that these Dyson vacuums are just overpriced!

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to learn that you've found the Dyson Cyclone V10 Animal Pro to be disappointing. We would expect that it's harder to use or less powerful than any other cord-free. We know that battery run time is a very important aspect of performance for our owners, so we developed a trigger that helps maximize the amount of time you can clean on one charge. We chose a light-touch trigger over an on/off switch to ensure that battery life is never wasted by letting the machine run when it's not in active use. We would value the opportunity to learn more about your experience along with ensuring that your vacuum is performing as intended. Please do not hesitate to contact us at [email protected]. We are keen on providing you with support.
Best wishes,
Kelly

Better than expectations
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been hesitant to make this purchase finding every reason possible to think of every other alternative vacuum. Some reviews had been unkind about battery life which didn’t help. But with our dog adjusting to the Texas heat outside and AC inside her coat sheds just looking at her and this can be more than a Roomba can handle. Where we have been surprised is how effective we can pull pet hair from rugs without exhausting the power supply, but the real joy is not having to keep plugging in as you move around the home. The attachments were plenty and all useful, but important to reiterate this machine is great for handling the pet hair and the battery life has proven to be excellent. Very happy to prove myself wrong.

Sometimes you really do get what you pay for...
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this vac for about a month now and it is awesome! We kept buying the cheap vacuums only to be disappointed by performance and/or failure. Finally decided to pull the trigger and spend some $ on this. So glad we did. Sometimes, you really do get what you pay for. Yes, it is expensive, however, it is very well designed and constructed. Lots of attachments to compliment the device that are all very useful. We live full time in our RV and don't have much space to store a big sweeper, so, this is perfect. Love the way we can just pick it up at any time to tidy up, which we now find we do 2 to 3 times a day as we have a Husky/Malamute mix dog who sheds ALOT! Highly recommend this vacuum!

Goodbye dog & cat hair!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saved points towards this until I had almost $200 then waited for it to go on sale at $429. I did a lot of research while I was saving the points. I purchased a used refurbished V6 on eBay, it was my first cordless and I couldn’t Believe how well it worked. I always thought the Dyson was overpriced and hyped up, it’s not. The maintenance on this is almost 0. I love the design. I went with the pro so I could have of the floor attachment & the rug. I priced it out buying the cheaper model and the attachment later for the floor and it was cheaper to buy the upgraded model. Even a used floor attachment sells for $80. I was looking at the V8, V10, & V11. In the end it came down to the V11 or the V10. I went with the V10 for two reasons, the charge time is much less then both the V8 and the V11, and the V11 does not offer the hardwood floor brush. At first I didn’t think it would make a big difference not to have that but I have mostly hardwood and laminate with just area rugs, and one room with carpeting, this floor attachment is amazing. It gets everything, all the pet hair and we have 5 animals. We have a German Sheppard, husky-border collie mix, 2 calico cats, and one Maine Coon cat. I do wish the battery lasted longer but most times I am good with it. I don’t know why they don’t make a battery that snaps out easily so that you can have a back up charged battery. The battery is held him by a couple of screws and is easy enough to swap out as I did it with the one I bought off of eBay, but it is not easy enough that you could charge to so that you would have double the time. I’m assuming they’re doing that for environmental reasons it would be nice if you could have a back up. Anyhow I am 100% happy with this purchase. I doubt I will ever buy another brand. Not having a cord is so much easier and faster. The suction on this on low is really good enough I only use high on the carpet where the cat room is. I did not want the digital display, I would rather have buttons. I think longevity will be better without the digital display. It’s just an opinion, I just work with electronics and I prefer to manually switch it. There are some very good comparison videos online; one compared all 3 and really helped me make my choice. I also love the new design of the dustbin. The one thing I did not like about the older model was the dust bin is small & hard to empty. It got clogged with pet hair often. The V10’s dust bin is much larger and you just shoot it into the trash. If it gets anything in the upper part I just turn it to high, run it for ten seconds and it’s all set. I don’t mind that you have to take the stick off. I can’t wait to clean my car with it! I do not hate vacuuming anymore!

Love this!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the freedom that NO CORDS offers. I find myself vacuuming more and it's strangely satisfying to empty the canister and see how much dust and cat hair I've cleaned from our floors and carpets. This lightweight stick vacuums does an even better job than my upright, heavy, expensive vacuum. My only complaint is that to remove the stick part in order to dump out the dirt canister, it was REALLY hard to get off...unlike all the other parts that easily slide on and off. I finally had the idea after struggling each time with this to add a little WD-40 to the attachment area and that seems to be working well.

Great Vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this vacuum to replace a 10+ year old Dyson that we had good luck with. I was a bit unsure about a handheld, battery powered unit at first but after using it a few times, I love it. I vacuumed the house twice and filled up the bin numerous times. This is after using our old vacuum. I am amazed how much dust and dog hair this picked up. I'm hoping this will help with indoor allergies as well. It's easy to use and very powerful. Plus you get a lot of attachments and have different ways to use it. I got this on sale and feel like it was a good deal. I've only had it a a couple weeks but am impressed so far.
