Best purchase ever! The machine works to not only purify the area of mold spores and allergens, however provides circulation in the room.

I love our air purifier! Our kids have terrible allergies and this tends to help.

I'm sure there are better value buys out there that give the same result. A purifier doesn't need fluid "check filter" animations on the LCD screen, nor internet connection. But this one has that element of elegance that comes with the design and the software connectivity. That being said, the whole thing is made from plastic, so material quality is a bit lacking. Scratches start building up where the magnetic remote docks. Filters: again there are cheaper out there, but party filters are available elsewhere. This should probably be viewed as more of a premium item, as you're paying for more than just filtration at a good value.

The Dyson Pure Cool is fan that does keep the room cool. Also, the air in the room is noticeable to people who have allergies.

An awesome air purifier to have in your home. First thing I noticed right away after getting this machine setup is the immediate difference in the quality of the air in my home. It smells cleaner and fresher, it's amazing! Out of the box, it's easy to setup and use. First thing I noticed is how solid and well built the machine is. It has a magnetic IR remote which makes it easy to operate the different fan settings and it magnetically attaches to the top of the unit. Operation is easy and there is an automatic setting that enables you to leave the fan on to keep the air purified in your home all the time. The Dyson app is a must have for monitoring the air quality and also enables things like setting up schedules, or even just controlling the fan. So the big questions that were on my mind... is it quiet? Yes, on the settings all the way up to half it's quieter than most other fans for the volume of air it puts out and it puts out a good volume of air! On high it's definitely more noticeable but not what I'd call loud. The filters... based on the included manual, they should last for a least year for average use. This of course is dependent very much on how much you run it and the quality of the air so it might be shorter or longer than that. Does it work well? Yes, I've definitely noticed and do notice a change in the quality of the air in my home when it's running and has been running. The air smells crisp/fresh and clean. In addition, the breeze that the machine makes is cool and refreshing. Last, the ability to change the direction of the air is amazing for those times when you want it to purify the air without air blowing from the front. The only thing that I wish Dyson would have done differently is the power brick. It's HUGE and will not plug in behind a shelf or bookcase without moving it away from the wall. The way it is designed also means that it doesn't plug into a power strip without blocking other plugs if they're all vertical plugs. That said, it's not a deal breaker for me but it's just something to be fully aware of. Based using and experiencing this machine in my home, I'd definitely recommend it!
