I'm not sure it has made a difference, but my wife loves it. She loves the fan feature as I hate when the ceiling fan is on. She says its just blowing clean air. I haven't seen the difference as of yet.

It is super helpful. As a fan, however, I think that the old Dyson multiplier fans are MUCH more effective. If you are looking at this purely for a fan, I'd suggest that you consider expanding your options (unless you really want the wifi).

Ascetically pleasing, but did not help with smells

The problem you've encountered with your machine not eliminating household odors such as stale smoke sounds very unusual. Dyson Purifiers operate with HEPA filtration, which is designed to capture 99.97% of particles as mall as 0.3 microns. The 360 degree filter is designed to draw in air from all around the machine. As a result, Dyson purifiers are great for removing allergens, dust, mold and even bad smells. The filter included with your machine is designed to last up to 12 months with 8 hours per day usage or about 6 months with more continuous use. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is a Dyson. This thing is much bigger than I thought it would be. I thought this would be something I could sit on a desktop, but if you do, it will certainly take up a decent amount of real estate. Once I unboxed it, the only challenge I had was getting the filters and outside panels on. It took a little bit of pressure to get them on. Once I tackled that, I plugged it in and pushed the power button and the multicolor display lit up. The first night I tried it in our Master Bedroom and I could tell a difference overnight with the purifier. The air seemed cleaner and the benefit of a fan that works much quieter than a normal oscillating fan. I put it on night mode and it was very quiet and being that my wife likes the room temperature at 80 degrees while we sleep, I turned the fan on and was able to sleep comfortably without having to sneak and turn the heat down like I normally do. The included remote doesn't work from that great of a distance and if you have the fan in oscillation mode, you have to make sure the screen is facing you when you use it. There is also an app for the fan, which allows you to program start and stop times as well as use the same functions that the remote does such as fan speed, oscillation on and off and night mode and air flow. The app also allows you to check on the current room conditions, outside temp and a daily/weekly summary of room conditions. I've since moved the purifier to my little ones' room and I think he seems to sleep more comfortably with it. I put it in auto mode and let it go off and on as needed. The only thing I am unsure of is how much the replacement charcoal filters cost. I created an account on Dyson's website, but it doesn't show them as an option for purchase. Maybe they can just be cleaned and re-used or the product is so new that they don't have them available yet. All in all, we are very happy with this product.

This is most useful in cooler months, when you want purification without feeling the air; however depending on where you are in the room, it may be helpful to use this feature. In addition, this model also features oscillation from 45-350 degrees which allows for wider room coverage. The unit comes in sturdy but not cumbersome packaging and the Operating Manual was nicely written and easy to understand. Best of all the Filtration Filters snapped into place quickly and easily. Once assembled I plugged in The Pure Cool Fan and turned it on. The Fan can be turned on and off on its base, with its remote control or by downloading software to a smartphone or computer. All of the controls are easy to read, the software is comprehensive and easy to use. The Base of the fan has a display window that allows you to monitor the Air Quality, Fan Speed, Sensor Information, Direction of Airflow and the Degree of Osculation. All of the settings can be controlled with the Remote Control, Smartphone or Computer. The Fan can be tilted slightly upward or downward allowing the air to flow where its best suited. I have found the unit to be very efficient in cleaning the air quality in my home. I have allergies, so I'm enjoying not being bothered with pollen and the speed in which odors are eliminated! There is an Auto Mode that allows you to schedule times of the day to Automatically turn The Pure Cool Fan on and off. I really like using the Timer feature as well. If you have an Amazon Echo then you can link it and use Alexa to turn the unit on and off, control the fan speed, auto mode, oscillation and more. That means I don't have to open my phone or search for the remote to do many of the things are possible. I just use my voice right from the couch! My only gripe is going to be the cost of filters. I guess it's a small price to pay to have clean air.

My ac went out on the 4th of July, luckily stores were open and I picked this up because I thought it would be awesome and I can say the $20 box fan that has several less features preformed better at cooling a room.

For it being a Dyson fan, it wasn't really strong as you may think it will be. Very disappointing, definitely just go with the regular brand that is sold by Amazon or Wal-Mart.

Horrible customer service experience

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So I bought this Dyson and within a week of having it someone broke into my unit and decided to Pee on it at about things I was frustrated and man I’m Already handled it with my property manager so Since I purchased the geek squad protection on it I put it back in the box and went to go see if I could exchange it for a new one and in return Received a horrible experience the lady That was helping me starts yelling at me that why did she touch Pee why did she touch pee and I told her that someone broke into my unit and pee on it in the end I walked out empty handed no Dyson or money returned she was outta place yelling at me the way she did
