I boight this one as a replacement for my V15 which i loved. I was skeptical on tbe price increase for what looked like a small number of features but boy was I wrong. Laser head is bigger, suction is better (boost mode), filter is amazing, power button, and the display is the best part. Now i know when my carpet is actually clean. I could not get the dog smell out of my carpet with the V15. Why? Because i wasnt done! There were still particles that i needed to keep cleaning and the display helped me achieve that by pin pointing the dirty sports and telling me when its clean.

Replaced the V11 and ball 3. I like the toggle vs trigger. Only other vacuum I have now is a shopvac for heavy duty cleaning. It's excellent for homes, cars, and traveling. Wish there was a power lockout feature to avoid turning on accidentally when traveling.

Great vacuum! I still think it is overpriced and I don't understand why the Gen5 does not incorporate the mop system (marketing), but we love the features it does have.

The best vacuum EVER. Yes, it's pricey, but it has a long warranty in case anything goes wrong in the first 2 years. I have owned 4-5 vacuums over 3 decades, and this one is the most practical, convenient and strongest. Always charged and ready to go for about an hour. Never once did I run out of juice.

I was hesitant to get a cordless vacuum but wow what a game changer. I did not know how much dust and dirt there was in my home. I love all the attachments.

Works amazing. I can vacuum a 2000 sf house on one charge and it bucks up everything on the first try. It’s so easy to change out the attachments and to empty. Great product!

This is a game changer, I bought this when we moved into a new house, and this is the most effective and convenient cordless vacuum cleaner I have ever used.

I loved the look and features of the design but not so much the cheap parts. I have owned 3 dysons before this one and i understand they want to make it light weight but the wheels and ball in the middle are so thin. I tried to roll it on my carpet and while it did pick alot up it was heavy and hard to push around. I had a hard time pulling the trash bin out with the button pushed it took lots of strength to pull it apart too. The battery did not last an hour for me. I liked the green laser light for hardfloors. I feel it wasnt worth the price as i felt it was going to fall apart.

I have had multiple Dyson vacuums and this is the best one hands down… Alittle pricey but worth every penny.

This thing can get cat hairs out of surfaces I had thought were a lost cause—cushion dimples? No issue—felt seating that’s too delicate for pet hair takes? It’s got your back. When I first used it my girlfriend thought I was performing sorcery

The Dyson Gen 5 vacuum is impressively powerful—noticeably stronger than the smaller Dyson models. It deep cleans carpets and hard floors with ease, picking up debris the others miss.

One of the best vacuums I’ve purchased. I have cats and dogs and it picks up hair and cat litter better than any of my many cleaning tools. I love the auto on button rather than holding a trigger constantly. It is a bit heavy in the handle due to the batter pack, but it’s performance outweighs this small inconvenience.

Definitely picks up the dirt. Happy you know longer have to hold the button down to keep it on. It has an off/on button. Battery could be longer on boost.

The Dyson Gen5detect is a powerhouse cordless stick vacuum, often cited as having the most powerful suction of any Dyson cordless model to date, thanks to its Hyperdymium motor. It does have powerful suction, and I am always shocked with the amount of dirt it picks up

The cleaning power is truly impressive, effortlessly tackling various surfaces from hardwood floors to carpets. The "Detect" technology is a game-changer, automatically adjusting suction based on the surface type. The cordless design is incredibly convenient, allowing me to move around freely without the hassle of cords. The battery life is decent, providing ample time for a thorough cleaning session. The dustbin is easy to empty, and the filters are washable, which is a nice touch for long-term use. However, there are a couple of design quirks that prevent me from giving it a full five stars. The dustbin could be slightly larger, as I find myself emptying it more frequently than I'd like, especially during extensive cleaning sessions. Additionally, the maneuverability is good, but the vacuum can feel a bit heavy after prolonged use.

A very solid vacuum. Powerful and portable, it gets in all the tight spaces! It keeps its charge allowing for longer cleaning time. Recommended!

The device has a green laser so you can see yhr dust and hairon hardwood or tile wih ease. A bit heavy but worth it.

I am happy with the current purchase of vacuum performance; it does a good job on cleaning hard surfaces as well carpets. Doing it job fast and is not in excess heavy.

We LOVE this vacuum! It works well, has great suction, and the light is amazing. It is mounted on the wall so it wont fall over. Very pleased.
