Suction power is amazing! Purchased for my elderly mother that being said, it is a bit heavy for her but she’s fine with that since I do most of her cleaning! Haha.

Just upgraded my 5 year old Dyson with this, Best one I have ever had, on off switch now which is amazing that you don't have to hold the trigger, green laser that can see so much dirt that I vacuum twice as long now that I can see dirt. and Removable battery. Due to 7 cats We use everyday so the price was not an issue.

This thing can get cat hairs out of surfaces I had thought were a lost cause—cushion dimples? No issue—felt seating that’s too delicate for pet hair takes? It’s got your back. When I first used it my girlfriend thought I was performing sorcery

Very good and comfortable Clean easy battery last long

I’ve owned this for a year now, having purchased it after having LVP flooring installed throughout the house. It has been heavily used. Easy to use, easy to clean. The only con? The light shows me how much I needed to sweep yesterday that you can’t see with the naked eye!

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned..To bad it is so expensive that others can’t experience how incredible this vacuum works.. I highly recommend

Been a Dyson fan since the beginnng. This new model does have good suction and filtration which is why you choose a Dyson. It’s not as ergonomic as past designs and even find my hand going numb holding it for 10 minutes. The hard floor “soft brush” attachment is effective but not efficient due to its small width. Dyson has got to come out with a wider option. Lastly, If you love to vacuum, you’ll be doing a lot more of it with the added “benefit” of the green light. It shows you how disgusting your home becomes overnight by illuminating every spec of dust! Happy vacuuming!

The Dyson Gen5detect is a powerhouse cordless stick vacuum, often cited as having the most powerful suction of any Dyson cordless model to date, thanks to its Hyperdymium motor. It does have powerful suction, and I am always shocked with the amount of dirt it picks up

I really wanted to find a flaw, or not find it handy, or find any reason to sink into buyers remorse…. But I couldn’t! I love this vacuum! I have used it everywhere! Furniture, different floor types, the car, walls for dusting. It’s a crazy amount of $$$ but it saves time, it’s easy to grab and go, and just works great. It even gets the tiny bits of cat litter on the first pass.

The vacuum works great but the canister fills up fast. Not only is it small but you need to empty it if it goes past the fill line. My experience had the canister 1/4 filled if that much but some of it wa already past the fill line. The rubber stopper does not work to keep the matter in the bottom part of the canister. The battery lasts with this product unlike the earlier models.

My best vacuum yet. This is a powerful vacuum that I can use despite my bad back. It's lightweight, easy to handle, and has great suction. You might think you've cleaned all the pet hair and dust—until you try this vacuum with the best feature of all, the laser light for floors attachment. I truly love this feature.

Great vacuum, and quieter than some of the other models. I like the clever attachment within and attachment concept -- fewer attachments to keep track of or to have to find places to store and then remember where you put it. The only negative is that when used as a handheld vac, the base is heavier than their earlier models, so it gets to be too heavy after a few minutes.

Great machine, works well and easy to use. Wish it was a little lighter for addressing high dusting areas.

Bought this after old one quit. After researching vacuums, I decided on the Dyson Gen5 Detect. It is a great vacuum and the green light does help detect the smaller dirt particles. It was pricey but feel it was worth it. It has great suction and light weight is easy to use.

This vacuum cleaner is well worth the price. It has an app with instructions and “how to” videos to make sure that the customer is well informed on how to use this vacuum. I love the display panel on the top part that shows what’s being vacuumed up and how much time is left before it needs to be charged. It comes with attachments so there is no surface that can’t be reached. The first time I used it, I was surprised by how clean the carpet w. It looked as though I had shampooed it. This vacuum is phenomenal!!!

Best Dyson vacuum I have ever used. It is simple to use and does a great job without the smell of a typical vacuum.

The light on the floor attachment is awesome. You can see every little hair, which makes you want to vacuum more lol wish they had the light on the rug attachment too.

More than powerful enough for my little house! Battery life is more than enough.
