The noise canceling feature alone is worth of money. I bought a second pair for my wife so she can watch t v at night.Whilst i'm sleeping. You can also wear with the cpap if you want to fall asleep to noise music. The dyson app was absolutely easy to use great connectivity bluetooth. Highly recommend.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dyson’s second attempt at headphones is a solid swing after taking a Mulligan on their first release with its ridiculous air filter + headphones combo. They stick to their trademark industrial design with the OnTrac, which if nothing else, will make them stand out wherever you are. PROs • The sound is excellent as should be expected on a premium device. Dyson claims that they have an expanded range of 6Hz to 21kHz and while that may be true, I am not convinced that most people can take advantage of that, as human hearing is generally 20Hz to 20kHz. Nonetheless, when comparing these to other brands I own, I hear much better sound separation in songs regardless of genre. • Surprisingly comfortable. These headphones are heavy but Dyson’s decision to put extra batteries in the headband was a good choice. They feel balanced. The ear cups are large and the padding hits a Goldilocks zone of sponginess. These are one of the few ear cups that completely enclose my ears, which may explain why I hear such good sound separation in tracks. • The power button is the only button on the left side and is easy to find. I have other headphones where the power button is similarly designed to other buttons on its side – and that makes it easy to confuse. • Noise canceling is very effective and does so without altering the sound. I’ve had headphones that would muffle the sound when noise canceling was turned on. These don’t do that. The mics take a few seconds to monitor the external noise before kicking in fully. The mics are also impressive in transparency mode that lets you clearly hear outside sound without sounding muffled either. Transparency mode automatically kicks in when you take a phone call. • Sensors in the headphones automatically pause playback if you remove them from your head. Then they resume playback when you put them back on. CONs • As mentioned, they are heavy even if comfortable. They can get weary after a couple of hours if your head is aimed downwards looking at a laptop. But if you’re looking straight ahead or have a headrest (like on a plane), then the weight is fine. I wear glasses and like pretty much every other headphone, the arms of my glasses get pressed against my head which is uncomfortable after a while. • No multipoint support. To switch devices, you have to restart the Bluetooth connection process by holding down the Bluetooth button for 5 seconds. To me, this is mandatory on any expensive headphones so I can take Zoom calls on my computer and phone calls on my mobile without a hassle. • App has very limited EQ settings and no customization. You can’t create your own settings and there are only three to choose from: Neutral, Bass Boost and Enhanced which is Dyson’s default. • The joystick on the right cup is a mixed blessing. It’s used to control volume, playback, and toggle your voice assistant. One the one hand it’s the only switch on that side, so there’s no confusion about finding the right button. And, adjusting volume or initiating voice assistant is easy. But it’s a bit tricky to skip ahead to the next song or go to the previous one. That’s going to require practice. • When you toggle noise canceling, it makes a swooshing sound like a Dyson vacuum to let you know you’ve changed the setting. While it’s a neat little trick, the swoosh volume is at the same setting as your playback. That’s really annoying if you have to adjust it in a noisy environment while the volume is turned up. Other • Dyson offers a huge variety of accessories if you want to change the color of the ear pads or outer caps. • The app has a function that continuously monitors the loudness of both your volume and the environment. I put this down as a nice-to-have. These are very good headphones with a few flaws that keep me from giving it five stars. But, if those flaws are not important to you and you can find them on sale, then they are worth considering.

These will surprise many
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.PROS: • the sound is excellent for bass heads while still possessing a detailed soundstage • The app works well and has a few sound presets that differentiate from one another well • Build quality is fantastic • Super comfortable for big heads (like mine), perfect weight distribution • Connects quickly and consistently to the media source • ANC is excellent CONS (subjective, of course) • Price ($500 is spendy, and there are too many great options in this price range) • Dyson branding (I wish they'd name their music products a subsidiary name from Dyson, so there'd be less preconceived notions) • There is too much focus on expensive accessories that most will not explore. This can clutter the app a bit when using it • Transparency mode isn't the greatest (compared to other wireless headphones out there - specifically the Airpod Max) I know what you're thinking if you're reading this. "What? Dyson makes a pair of headphones? Why? They're a vacuum cleaner company!" I had the same questions, honestly. While I am a Dyson fan (I own a vacuum fan, and my wife has the hair dryer), I hesitated to order it, but my love for headphones and music piqued my interest. I have several high-priced headphones in my collection. I use them all for different media but mostly listen to music with them. A few of them are Hifiman Arya Organic ($1300), Mark Levinson no. 5909 ($1000), Bowers & Wilkins PX8 ($700), and the Sonos Ace ($450). I consider myself an audiophile, but only because I love to dissect the differences between headphones. I urge you not to judge these simply because they're from Dyson. Dyson makes quality products. One can't argue with that. The materials, architecture, and engineering of their devices are top-notch. Expensive? Yes, but you know you're getting a high-quality product that the company takes pride in - which generally means a great warranty. These OnTrac headphones are the same quality, and it's easy to tell as soon as you unbox them. The case that's included isn't a fully closed case, but is better than the case that comes with the Airpod Max. The first thing you'll notice is the weight of them. These weigh in at one pound. That may not seem heavy to a typical user, but those who love headphones know that most weigh less than a pound. It may have been unavoidable for Dyson due to this construction. The replaceable earcup covers, for example, are relatively weighty. You can take these off if you'd like, which works just the same; it relieves a bit of weight. On the other hand, for me, these are super comfortable. Three large cushions on the band make for good weight distribution. Combine the cushions with the soft earcups; these are some of my most comfortable headphones. But what's most important about headphones? The sound, right? And that is one aspect that surprised me the most. These sound great. They're not my favorite sounding pairs, but when it comes to hip-hop or bass-heavy music, I prefer these among my other, more detailed pairs. The bass is clear and precise - with no muddiness. At the same time, it doesn't drown out the vocals. These will make your head nod as you listen to them. Other types of music will perform above average, but they need more accuracy and details than other headphones at this price range. For example, the Sonos Aces ($450) possess a broader, more apparent soundstage, but I need a personality - they're not exciting to me. But if you're a fan of headphones and music, you'll know that every single headphone has a subjective sound. Some will be okay with a $50 pair, while others feel the need to go big or go home. If you're in between, the OnTracs are a good option, but there are other great options. If I were a lead headphone designer at Dyson, I'd encourage the company to name their music devices something different than Dyson. Have it be called another thing while not necessarily hiding that they're from Dyson. The OnTrac name should be more prominent in branding than the Dyson name. Because I can see most people seeing these out in public, laughing to themselves that Dyson makes headphones, even though they're fabulous-sounding headphones. For many, the name Dyson immediately decreases credibility, deserving or not. My prediction is that these will go on sale by Black Friday. And if they're around the $400 range, the value is there. These are great for the collection due to the bass and comfort alone. For $500? I'm still determining. But if you're pinching pennies, I would go with something else - especially if you're not a bass-heavy music lover.

Great Premium Headphones!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dyson OnTrac headphones are premium quality headphones both in sound and build quality. The OnTrac headphones offer plenty of features that most modern headphones have such as noise canceling and noise transparency, but they also have the option to customized…for a price. The OnTrac headphones give you the option to change the color of the ear caps as well as the ear cushions, each pair will set you back $50 per set. The build quality on the headphones is some of the best I’ve seen yet. These are made of premium materials, and you can immediately tell the second you put them in your hand. There is some weight to them, but they did do a great job of balancing them when they rest on your head, so they’re not too overbearing. The outcome: they feel both comfortable and secure and they never get too hot or sweaty while wearing them. The OnTrac headphones offer noise cancelling and noise transparency that can be activated by double tapping the left ear, or through the Dyson app. You do need to download the Dyson app to make these features work. The noise cancellation works, but there is definitely room for improvement. I was still able to hear most of the environment around me with noise cancelation turned on. As far as sound quality goes, this is where the Dyson headphones really shine. The OnTrac offers some amazing sound quality across the board. They offer some crisp detailed highs, as well as smooth deep bass, and vocals sound very detailed and crystal clear. When combined, it sounds like you have a beautiful symphony playing in your ear. Drums. Overall, I really like the Dyson OnTrac headphones. These are definitely some of the nicest built headphones I’ve yet to see. They offer amazing sound quality, they are very durable and comfortable to wear, plus you have the option to customize the earcups and ear cushions. My only complaint is they didn’t add a headphone jack, the only connection is a USB-C to charge them. Either way, I would still recommend these to anyone looking for a great set of premium headphones.

Great Option
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After Dyson's first and somewhat strange entry into the headphone arena with their Zone headphones I was curious the Dyson OnTrac Noise Cancelling Headphones would perform without the added niche attachment to make them seem different. After opening the package I was immediately intrigued with the protective case which is a bit different than a typical hard case that completely closes (think a zippered case). Their Slimline case is hard on the front and back part with stretchy pieces holding the sides together. You slid the headphone in and out and while the headphones are in use the case collapses flat (hence the "slimline" name). The only problem I have come across so far with this is that it doesn't feel easy to slip the USB-C cable in the case despite two small pockets inside the case although I admit that it may just be my hesitance risk manipulating the case too much. With that said, I like the case but think I would still prefer one that fully closes. The headphone themselves immediately felt a little heavier than most others I have owned (although it didn't feel as heavy as the Zones with the purifying part attached. It's not the kind of heavy that translates to being heavy and uncomfortable when wearing (I can comfortably wear them for long periods without the weight being an issue). This may be due in part to the well padded band and the super comfortable ear cushions. The cushions as well as the outer caps are what makes these headphones customizable by choosing any of the various options for each sold separately. The price of those may make it a better ideal to order the color combination you want instead which to access the full offering would require buying directly from Dyson. But if you like the idea of being able to switch based on your mood then it may be worth it to collect the other colors available. The most important part of choosing headphones for most users will be the sound quality. While more than adequate for most users I was a little surprised to notice that the sound felt slightly lackluster compared to other options I own available at lower price points. The reality is though, the overall sound is pretty good. I think access to a much more robust equalizer could help improve sound and help these compare in a better way to others but as it stands if I had to choose one headphone as a top performer in the sound are unfortunately these fall a little short. I would say they are better than average and for users that aren't self described audiophiles this will be completely irrelevant. But it's something to keep in mind if you know you are critical about these aspects when choosing a headphone. Noise cancelling is on par for most over the ear headphones I have tried so it meets my expectations with ease. Battery life is perhaps the feature that outshines a lot of others I have used. At up to 55 hours which includes when you are using ANC I have been impressed. That would likely make these ones I would choose when traveling on long flights. Overall, these have been a great option. Like I said, I would not put them at the top of my list on the sound quality but the plush ear cups making long period use beyond comfortable as well as the exceptional battery life makes these a pair I really like having in my location.

Love them.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a previous owner of Sony's over the ear XM5. The Dyson OnTrac sounds as good. They excel, however, in how they fit and feel. The materials and build quality blow the competition out of the water. I can't speak enough to how secure they fit my head. They are very comfortable. The sound is amazing. The physical joystick to control music is fantastic. I could never work out with the Sony's because my arms would accidentally trigger the touch sensor on the earcups. Not so when you have a physical control. The case is well designed and thought out. You slide them in the case, which is hard on both sides, and there is a thoughtful pass through for charging while in the case. And being able to personalize/customize with different color cushions and ear caps is fantastic. My only quibbles are with a 55 hour battery life it would be super to have reverse charging so the head phones could act as a back up battery for my phone. And there needs to be more a customizable EQ in the myDyson app. Oh and Dyson's 2 year warranty is free. No need to spendi extra for Applecare here!

What a great set of headphones....
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dyson OnTrac The packaging is great, the Dyson OnTrac headphones comes with a greatly designed case and USB charging cable. One can change the ear cups and outer caps by purchasing other color options and Dyson gives you seven color options, very nice to have the option indeed. You download the MyDyson app either IOS or Android. Charge the headphones up, power up the headphones, open the app and let the app find the headphones. The headphones will update it's firmware through the app automatically. All this was done flawlessly. Put the headphones on your head (they are labeled also for the correct ear, R and L) then start listening to pure awesomeness. You tap two times on the outside end caps (either left or right) to turn on or off the noise ancelling. The power button is on the left ear piece and the 4 way joystick is on the right ear piece. You press the joystick to pause / play / answer phone calls. Press and hold to either reject an incoming phone call (if receiving a call) or activate voice commands. Move the stick up for volume up and down for volume down, left and right to skip or rewind audio tracks. The headphones have a head detect when you put them on your head, they pause / resume playing as you take them off and put them back on. The battery lasts days, the app you can adjust for Enhanced, Base boost, neutral, i use them in base boost mode as i love base, and these headphones have lots of base with extreme clarity that to me is just outstanding. When i say to me, I mean to me as everyone has their own listening quality and different likes to what sounds (music) should sound like. Phone call quality is great, I can hear callers and callers can hear me. I love the joystick control, what a geniuses idea that works perfectly. You can get an airplane adapter cable from Dyson. The sound quality is outstanding, the features are awesome, the fit is perfect, the only thing negative would be they are a tad heavy otherwise just wow .

Better than some audiophile brands. Outstanding.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would’ve never guessed that one of the best headphones I’ve listened to are made by a company known for vacuums and fans. In typical Dyson fashion, they’re well built, well thought-out, and do an outstanding job at what they’re designed for. These headphones rock! Music has an open soundstage that emits every note with an inspiring clarity. They’re well balanced out of the box, but the Enhanced EQ mode offers a small bump in frequencies… kind of like Loudness but without the muddyness. And if you’re a basshead, the BassBoost EQ setting should be satisfying as it gives the bass much more punch and authority without sacrificing musicality. They’re agile enough to keep up with every musical genre I’ve run through them (and I listen to everything). They’re also cozy to wear for hours and I’ve never found my ears hot or irritated after prolonged use. And because it’s a Dyson, there’s going to be a few innovative features that really are more than just marketing fluff. The can covers and cushions are modular and easy to swap for other colorways so you can quickly switch styles to fit your mood. They also don’t necessarily need to be round, so there could be some fun with different shapes if someone wanted to get creative with them (hint hint Dyson). Even the case offers a bit of ingenuity as it collapses totally flat for easy storage when you remove the headphones. In terms of negatives, I wish there was more adjustability than 3 EQ presets. I would usually raise a big stink about this, but I actually like how Enhanced and Bass Boost sound and don’t think I’d change much anyway. I would also like some kind of level adjustment for the ANC and PassThrough modes, but they’re also fixed to a good level. The ANC is excellent at blocking outside noise and PassThrough offers natural sound reproduction of your surroundings. It can still get drowned out by the media you’re playing, but that’s on par for all ANC headphones. In short, these are priced like premium headphones and they live up to the billing. The sound quality is fantastic with excellent detail and bass. They’re comfortable to wear for hours and the customizable colorways are a cool feature to keep them fresh throughout the years. And they have 55 hours of battery life! Ridiculous. If these are within your price point, I absolutely urge you to give them a try. The Dyson OnTrac ANC headphones are fantastic. SOUND Dyson advertises an expanded frequency range of 6Hz-21KHz, which is just outside of the normal range of 20Hz-20KHz. I don’t know if I’m actually able to hear anything that low or high, but I do know these sound great with every genre of music I’ve played. The bass is strong and agile without being muddy. For a sound quality setup the Enhanced EQ mode adds subtle tuning without distorting the original sound, but if you like something heavier then Bass Boost is for you. I keep flipping between both modes depending on the music, but it does a great job either way. In most cases I would complain about the lack of EQ tunability, but I’m oddly satisfied with the presets. I don’t think I’ve ever said that before, but here we are. But outside of the bass response, the vocals and highs have such a wonderful open and natural sound. Playing “Rush” by Arya Starr, her powerful but vulnerable voice shines through while being well complemented by the strong percussion. In “Dance Tonight” by Lucy Pearl the musicality of the bass gets to show off a bit while offering natural vocals and a wide soundstage. On the other end of the spectrum, “Enter Sandman” by Metallica was pure adrenaline. This is a song I prefer on BassBoost, because it needs to be felt. The drums offer a good backbone to the charging guitar riff and the balance doesn’t get lost here. It’s hard not to smile. So then I played Nirvana’s “Come As You Are” and I was enchanted from the moment the guitars introduced themselves. This might actually be one of the best songs to demo these headphones with as it really seems to flex the abilities of the Dyson OnTrac. Excellent vocal reproduction, drums with kick, and a melodic guitar in a seemingly open and spacious soundstage. From MJ, Outkast, Usher, RiRi, and Kendrick, to Cheap Trick, Pavoratti, and Papa Roach, it really doesn’t matter who, these headphones will spit out some beautiful tunes. And before I forget to mention it, the call sound quality is excellent as well. ANC automatically turns on and blocks the outside noise well while offering a clear and natural sounding voice from the other line. I honestly didn’t ask how I sounded, but after an hour of being on a phone interview there were no issues with voice clarity or volume. DESIGN It’s a Dyson, so there are expectations and they have been met. Dyson is one of the few innovative tech companies that has a good record of hitting it out of the park with most offerings and they at least always offer some kind of innovative feature. Aside from the sound, I really appreciate the flat collapsable case and modular pieces. Being able to easily change the covers and cushions offers a huge range of custom colorway options and I’m excited to see what both Dyson and the aftermarket does with this. As I mentioned before, the covers don’t necessarily need to be a round shape which means you could even change the whole silhouette of the cans if they made them. Or at the very least, I can see covers with custom paint jobs or logos. The cushions also come in a nice variety of colors and I’m excited to see what future offerings become available. There’s a lot of fun and creative opportunities here and I hope they keep embracing it. Buildwise, the fit and finish is excellent with no loose threads and a solid feel. I guess if there’s one thing I don’t like it’s how the frame’s gray plastic reminds me of my Dyson vacuum. Not that it’s cheap or anything, it’s just a funny mental association. It’s a sturdy design with actual metal covers and controls. Speaking of which, there’s a little joystick on the right can that serves as the main controller (start, stop, next, previous, volume) and turning the ANC on or off is done by tapping either can twice. Unfortunately, there’s no customization options for the controls, but thanks to the joystick it all kind of makes sense and I haven’t found a need to change anything. It’s funny, at first I thought they were being cheap by not including a full hard case, but this is way better. Remove the headphones and the case collapses flat and takes about as much space as a DVD case. Store the headphones in them and the hard shell front and back offer ample protection while also allowing access to the charging port. Great design job all around. PROS - Outstanding sound quality - 6Hz-21 kHz frequency range - Open soundstage - Excellent sound clarity and definition - Smooth and natural vocals - Deep and melodic bass - Excellent noise canceling - PassThrough work well - Great on phone calls - Joystick works well - Haptic touch controls are responsive - Comfortable cushions - 55 hours of battery life - Fast charging - Well built - Love the modular covers and cushions - Innovative thin case design - Covers and cushions come in cool colorways CONS - Only 3 EQ presets available - Not able to adjust ANC or PassThrough levels - Cannot customize controls

Poor mics mar aluminum ANC wunderkind
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dyson is a relatively new entrant into headphones. They are, however, making a splash with a colorful, comfortable and well designed offering. At this price point, sound quality has to be.The number one priority. The OnTrac headphones do a decent job with a well balanced tone. There’s no extra emphasis on bass, highs, or lows. There is a smartphone app which will let you customize your sound preference in an equalizer. I chose the neutral option and it did exactly that. The default is ‘enhanced’ which has some bass boost. This is just the way I like headphones. My disappointment is that these do not offer any additional depth beyond what I've heard from headphones which cost less. For example, listening to Pink Floyd’s Shine On You Crazy Diamond, there’s clarity in the opening, but it’s missing a crispness that I’ve heard from high end speakers. The OnTrac is more than adequate, but they fall a little short on a truly defining experience. In noise cancellation, Dyson has found its calling. It's easy to switch back and forth between ANC and hear through mode. These allows you to hear everything going on in the room.Even if it's several feet away. I was able to hear my wife clearly across our living room while wearing these headphones with hear through. In ANC, I couldn’t even hear my finger tapping on the desk. The better test was taking them outside. My lawnmower was practically silent when ANC is turned on. I was in a sonic cocoon! The best part was that after hours of listening, they did not feel heavy on my head and my ears felt completely normal. The fit is excellent! The ear cups are soft felt instead of the leather found on my headsets in this class. This allows for more color options, including swappable cups (an expensive gimmick). It also creates a more forgiving fit for those who wear glasses (like me). Even after an extended time wearing them, my glasses weren’t digging into my face. I generally prefer earbuds for this reason. Now I don’t have to compromise on sound quality! The major area where Dyson fell down completely was on the microphones. I tried using the headset on a work call, since I’d been listening to music on these immediately prior. The other end could barely hear me. I had to speak up quite a bit. Even then, I’m told the audio was choppy and limited in frequency. I had to use the mic on my web cam instead. Given how well these do at noise cancellation, I’d have hoped the Dyson could do better at isolating my voice to someone I am talking to. Apple is still the one to beat in this regard and their earbuds are half the price. Overall, I’m happy with the headphones. I can live with the drawbacks. I’d just prefer not to. I’m hoping a future firmware update will fix the mic issue and make this a perfect headset!

Customizable To Your Style And High Quality Sound
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dyson has stepped into the headphone arena with the Dyson OnTrac Slimline noise canceling headphones. Dyson products are known to be engineered to look good and work well. This carries over to the OnTrac Slimline headphones. They are stylish and customizable. Design Dyson engineers have done a good job with the design. The ear pieces can pivot to adjust to your head. The headband can be extended or retracted as I would expect. Both are made to easily adjust to me. The outer part of the ear pieces, the outer caps, can be removed and replaced and Dyson has made them in several different colors. The inner part, the cushions, can also be removed and replaced. There are also several color options for that as well. I can customize the color as I feel fits me. In the future, I'll end up buying replacement cushions and will probably go with red. The color of the cushions that came with mine are yellow which I don't like as much as I would red. The OnTrac headphones come with a protector case. It can protect the headphones from something putting pressure on them like what might happen when I have them in my backpack. The case however is open around the top, sides, and bottom. The case looks good with the headphones in it, but I would like to have seen a case the allows for more protection. With the headphones in the case, you can see the colored ear cushions which, coupled with the good look of the case, gives it an overall very stylish look. For most situations, the case will be sufficient to protect my headphones, but I would prefer the case afford better protection. Sound Quality The sound quality from the OnTrac headphones is very high quality. The audio is clear whether I'm listening to an audio book or music. The drivers in each earpiece make voices sound really good. Audio books are very clear. I would have liked the drivers to have a little more bass though. With music, it sounds good, but doesn't have as much punch to the base as I would like. This doesn't seem to retract from voices sounding good, but I do notice it when listening to music. Music is still very clear and sounds good. It's just that if the drivers produced a little more base, music would have a much richer sound. App Dyson developers built a high quality app. Setup is easy. In the app I can choose what eq to set that best suits me. As the OnTrac headphones are noise canceling headphones, Dyson has added a meter I can see that shows dB levels inside the earpieces and the dB level of sounds outside the headphones. I like the meter and it is a good feature of the app. I can also choose the noise canceling setting within the app and also change it using a touch sensitive button on the outside of the left earpiece. The app is also where I can easily find documentation and also quickly jump into the Dyson store to browse for replacement ear cushions or outer caps. Final Thoughts I really like what Dyson engineers have done with the OnTrac noise canceling headphones. The noise canceling is good and they were designed with style in mind. I think that the drivers could be made to produce a little more bass in future iterations of them. If they did, music would have a richer sound. As they are, they produce a very clear high quality sound. Overall, I'm really happy with them and use them daily. If you are looking for a new set of headphones with high quality sound and that allow you to customize the color to suit your style, then consider the Dyson OnTrac noise canceling headphones.

Immersive sound & quality headphones
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Dyson headphones impressed me with their balanced blend of quality and functionality, offering an impressive range of features, though with a few minor drawbacks. The sound quality is outstanding, especially for bass-heavy genres. After testing them, I’m genuinely pleased with how Dyson has delivered on sound quality, comfort, and noise cancellation with these headphones. Pros: Powerful Noise Cancellation: Equipped with eight microphones, the ANC blocks good background noise, making it easy to immerse in music or podcasts, even in noisy settings. Long Battery Life: These headphones offer up to 55 hours of listening time on a single charge, even with ANC on. A quick 10-minute charge gives an extra 2.5 hours, for a rush situations. Enhanced Sound Range: These headphones offer deep bass, clear highs, and a generally balanced, warm sound. This is perfect for genres like hip-hop and jazz. Customization: The headphones have interchangeable caps and cushions in different colors and finishes, so you can make them your own (though these accessories are sold separately). Comfort and Design: A soft microfiber cushion and a balanced weight distribution ensure a comfortable fit for extended wear. The headphones are large but designed to feel light on head. Simple Controls: Toggling between ANC and transparency modes (which lets outside sounds in) is easy, though touch controls on the earcups can be too sensitive at times. Crystal Clear Calls: Dual microphones enhance call clarity, focusing only on your voice and minimizing background noise. App Integration: The Dyson app offers useful features, like warnings if the music volume is too high and could damage your hearing, which is a nice touch for those who care about long-term ear health. Cons: Price: These headphones are expensive. While they offer excellent features, the price is higher than some competitors which have similar capabilities. Heavy: At over a pound, these headphones are heavier than some other premium models, which might be uncomfortable for those who prefer lighter options for long wear. Case: The included hard case isn’t ideal. It has open ends where dust can get in, and it doesn’t protect the headphones as well as some other cases on the market. Touch Controls: The touch controls for toggling ANC and Transparency modes can be overly sensitive, which means you might accidentally change settings during use. It could have been more user-friendly with physical buttons instead of touch-sensitive areas. Transparency Mode: While it works well, it’s not as clear or effective as the transparency modes found on other high-end headphones that I have used before. Overall, the dyson headphones offer impressive ANC, great sound quality, and long battery life. They are customizable in design and comfortable for extended wear. However, the high price and a few design quirks, like the bulky weight and sensitive touch controls, might not be for everyone. If you’re an audiophile who loves bass-heavy sound and value personalization, these could be a great choice, but there are alternative headphones at a similar price point that might offer a bit more refinement in sound and usability.

Awesome design - sound quality comes up too short
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really, really want to like the Dyson On Trac headphones. I mean, just look at them! If I were to basic the decision on physical appearance alone I’d say nothing even comes close to the design and customization options that this product provides. From changing the color of the ear cups to the exterior caps, you can really get personal with your choices. Even with the integration of the Dyson app and the super swift pairing, again things look so promising. I had them up and running in no time after a lengthy firmware update. What didn’t come through as a product is the actual sound quality. I’d give the noise reduction solid scores compared to products I have from multiple competitors. Better then middle of the road, but not quite at the level of a lot of audio focused companies. Where I can’t give a high score is actual sound quality. I tried multiple sources at multiple bandwidths and just didn’t feel like the fidelity was there no matter what I did. Sound wasn’t very clear, volume was lower then average given the size of the drivers, and just overall disappointment.
