I find it a little heavier than I expected; however, it cleans very well especially on cat hair which is why I wanted it. I love not having to deal with the elec. cord. It did such a good job on the living room rug that I didn't shampoo the carpet for Christmas!

Upgraded from the V8 to this and the battery life and overall performance of this model is so worth it. The auto sensing of the surface to change the amount of suction required is awesome. Definitely worth the money and wish this was available when we bought our previous Dyson hand held.

The bad I was so ready to hop on here and give this thing a 5 star review. Unfortunately I can’t do that because while I was using the vacuum for only the second time the high torque xl head broke. I was using the vacuum on an area rug and then switched back to hard wood and something about that simple switch was too much for the head to handle and it stopped spinning. After watching countless videos and taking it apart and putting it back together again like 8 times thinking it was something I did, we figured we must’ve just gotten a dud. Going through dyson to get a replacement part isn’t too bad of a process but the issue is the part hasn’t been in stock. It’s a real bummer. I was absolutely in love with this vacuum and for it to break so soon after it arrived was extremely disappointing. I will update my review when we’ve finally received the replacement high torque xl head. The good The attachments are amazing. I love every single one. It’s so convenient having a cordless vacuum and I love that there are 2 batteries, allows for plenty of time to clean. It looks really sharp. Great suction power. Hair doesn’t get stuck in the head or upholstery attachment!!! That was huge for us because we have 2 dogs and a cat. It can get heavy but I don’t mind because it feels like a well built machine and it’s worth having the large dust bin on it. The dust bin is also super easy to empty. Overall I love everything about this vacuum and I’m really hoping we just got super unlucky with the first vacuum head. Hoping the replacement will work perfectly. Fingers crossed. But for now, I cannot recommend this vacuum.

Easy to move around, runs smoothly, dust bin can hold a lot & it’s easy to empty, picks up all the dust & hair. If hair gets stock on the roll it’s easy to clean because you can remove the roll to clean it! Plus the noise it makes it’s not too loud.

Kudos to Dyson for constantly improving their products - battery life on this vacuum is awesome. I thought it may be too big but my wife and I both love this vacuum...very easy to handle and no heaver that my last Animal V10.

This is my first stick vacuum and my first Dyson. I also chose this model over the V15 Detect because the Oversize Total Clean has a larger bin canister, comes with 2 batteries instead of a single battery, and has more attachments. It makes vacuuming dog hair a breeze.

It’s been a month and all I can say is “awesome” A little pricey but once you start it it’s worth the money! Picks up everything that my old animal version was not able to. Fully recommended! PS Take the Citi/Best Buy credit card 12/months promotion. If not, apply!

Positives: Works efficiently, easy to use and dump the trash receptacle. Added attachments are nice to have. Negatives: Holding the trigger down all the time to make it run. Can’t they retrofit it with a switch to keep the trigger engaged for those of us who don’t mind the battery drain? Also, it is very pricey.

Works great! Love the battery life. I can clean my whole house (2500 sq ft). Before depleting battery life of both batteries. Only con to this device is the size of the waste chamber is too large that it is difficult to get into some spaces and it is quite heavy. Other than that I LOVE it! Excellent power that if in auto mode, will adjust as needed.

This is the best vacuum I have ever purchased! It is lightweight, very easy to use, holds a charge for a long time and picks up better than any vacuum I have ever had. It is worth the money!

I was looking for a vacuum for my home gym. Upon debating what vacuum I liked, I noticed that this vacuum was cordless. It was very helpful to me that I didn't have to worry about tripping over a power cord. The Dyson worked wonders, very easy to put together. It came with a mount that you could use to hang the vacuum on the wall. Because my home gym is not so big, the battery life works great. It tells you on the display how many minutes you have until you have to charge. There are various modes, automatic, Eco, and Boost. Depending which mode you choose determines how long the battery will last. It will also dictates the suction strength of the vacuum. I don't have any problems with this product. It's a great quality vacuum

I loooove the brush!! I have two Husky’s! Should have bought this sooner. Easy to use, many attachments and strong! Love how the hair doesn’t get stuck in the brush roller, just amazing!

This is our first Dyson vacuum. We've found we like the convenience of cordless tools and were needing to replace our old corded vacuum. We wanted one with equivalent or better cleaning power and similar width so we didn't have to make a lot of passes. So far we've found that the Dyson Outsize effectively checks those boxes. It picks up as well or better than our old corded vacuum and it is easier to maneuver. While this vacuum is a bit heavy in the hand we find it similar or better overall than the old corded vacuum on the overall amount of effort involved with vacuuming. The battery capacity is plenty for us in our 3500 sq ft home.

Absolutely love this! Works like a charm and is so powerful. Easy to clean and so many accessories. Battery is outstanding and haven't had the need to use the replacement yet.

I basically want the size of the container with the v15 soft brush head. Pros: comes with extra battery, larger container, and larger cleaning head. Cons: Larger cleaning head means you can't get into tight spots anymore. The stem itself is slightly shorter and you don't get a soft cleaning head attachment. This vacuum and the v15 are the only Dyson's with an quick change battery. This and the v15 are basically the same with the detect auto power technology. It detects if you're on carpet or hard floors to increase power suction. You just need to decide if you want extra battery or soft head attachment.

This vacuum is the best. It’s easy to use, and lightweight. Comes with multiple attachments. Love not having to plug/unplug it when I move to a different area.

Great product, great suction. Cleans carpet easy and I like the battery life. Only downside is that ir’s heavier than my other Dyson V7, but still manageable

Great vacuum I love that it’s cordless and the battery lasts for days before having to charge. I love it comes with 2 batteries as well so I don’t have to wait for 1 to charge.

This thing is a beast! Vacuumed two floors of my home (70% hard floor and 30% carpet/rug) and two couches with one battery. This included two sets of stairs. I was shocked at how much suction this things had compared to an older hand held Dyson we had. It is just as much as two previous corded Dyson vacuums (Animal and canister). Very easy to maneuver and transitions intuitively between carpet and hard floor. I love the extra spiral attachment that helps remove cat hair from my furniture. Purchased this on sale and it is still expensive, but a great investment.

Was scared of the price but once i commited to using it i love it. No cords no hassle, all the attachments are great, except the whole storing them thing. Batteries are ok, i have a big house but most of the floor is hardwood. With that being said i beleive the battery works best on solid flooring. Overall by far the best sweeper I've used and even though the battery usage goes faster on carpet, I've noticed that next few times I go over high traffic areas its not as bad as the first few times I ran the sweeper!!
