Owned for 8 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With no automatic mode, no smart features (and cannot be used with a smart plug, as it won’t turn back on without pressing the power button), limited rotation, a lack of information if it is even cleaning the air, cheap looking paint finish, this really is just an expensive fan. The only good thing is that it does purify the air as it operates, and you know this because the filter turns black with use. It will tell you when to replace the filter, and if it has been less than a year then Dyson will give you a new filter for free as part of their warranty. That makes it worth keeping.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. I am sorry to read your review and learn how disappointed you are in your Dyson Pure Cool air purifier and fan. Dyson Pure Cool features a HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of allergens and pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, including pollen, dust, mold spores, bacteria and pet dander. The second layer in the filter contains activated carbon to capture household odors and volatile organic compounds like paint fumes. The machine also features a sleep timer, oscillation and 10 air speed settings.
I can confirm that the TP01 is not a connected device and does not have the built-in WiFi capabilities like the connected models, so it cannot be used with the Dyson Link App, or other connected items such as Amazon Alexa. It was my first dyson product and I am very disappointed. It is not strong enough. Max speed of 10 feels very poor. Quality of the materials look cheap too.

It has good variations of speeds, easy to use timer, oscillating feature, easy to clean, and is extremely quiet. Its only minus is that if you're placing it on a floor surface its recommended to avoid picking it up from the top thereby creating the need to pick it up like a flower pot each time you re position or move the fan which is a bit of an inconvenience

It is quite and provides cool air when using together when air conditioning. It circulates the cool air from the air conditioner to the entire large room.
