Pricy and doesn’t put out enough cool air! I’m not sure about the quality of air purification, but I do like the ability to connect to Alexa and the phone app. Seems like a nice product but I need more air output so I returned it.

Nicely designed, air purifier worked great, but the fan power was very weak. Couldn't feel the air while sitting in my living room with the fan on it's highest setting. My standard $45 floor fan set on low produced more air than this $675 Dyson fan set on high. Not a good value for the money, I returned this product.

Stopped working within 2 hours. Got an exclamation marks on the screen & the machine never recovered from it. Called dyson customer care & they were happy to replace it, but who’d buy a machine which fails in 2 hours.

The unit worked great for the 1st 4 months. Then air stopped blowing out of it. I reached out to Dyson customer service and they authorized an exchange. They’ve had the returned unit for over a week and can’t seem to provide an update. So, I’m out the unit and have no clue when I am receiving the new device. The customer service is terrible. They cut and paste the same email responses. Absolutely atrocious. For a company that sells high cost items, the customer service should not be this bad. I’ve wasted so much time with this exchange and I still don’t know what ny exchange status is

I've been using the TP09 for about a week now and I have to say that I really like it. You will get the central fan unit, magnetic remote control, HEPA/carbon filter, catalytic filter screen, and some paperwork in the box. If you are familiar with other Dyson fans/purifiers, TP09 has the same footprint as others. One difference is that this model is relatively tall, at around 3.5 feet tall. Fan speeds range from one to 10; you can also set it to auto mode. Auto measures the air quality and automatically spins up and down as needed until the unit detects acceptable air quality. At speed 10, the air throughput it quite fast. At higher speeds it can be a bit loud, so keep that in mind. When at low speeds (like 4 or below) it's super quiet. The oscillation mode is pretty amazing. The fan can rotate at degrees: 45, 90, 180, and 350. Unlike several older fans in the Dyson lineup, TP09 has an excellent information display on the front of the fan. The display shows various modes and air quality measurements. The remote control is very similar to other Dyson air purifiers. It magnetically attaches to the top of the fan for storage. You can control all of the features from the remote or use the Dyson app to control the purifier at home or while you're away. The fan also works with Alexa and Google Assistant via the Dyson skill. It works well, but you have to say very specific commands for it to work properly. So how well does it work? Well, it's all relative. I can only rely on the data from the Dyson app to show how the air quality is in my home over time. Aside from the app, I can say that it does detect poor air quality when you have it on Auto mode. For example, while I was cleaning my home I decided to spray some items with the Lysol spray. Almost immediately, the TP09 started spinning up because it sensed that I sprayed the Lysol can in the room. The filters supposedly last up to a year, but it really depends on how often you run the fan. So keep that in mind when using it as the filters are kind of pricy at about $80. Overall, TP09 is a beautiful air purifier/fan with a premium build quality. It works really well as both a fan and air purifier. The smart app and voice assistant features make it an even more appealing sell compared to "dumb" fans/air purifiers in the market. As a Dyson product, TP09 is not cheap, but it does command the price for its advanced features and air-purifying capabilities. If seasonal allergies are a concern for you, or if you are particularly concerned with formaldehyde, then the Dyson TP09 is a great option - if you can afford it.

Makes high pitched whistling noise. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps including reseating the filter, etc. Nothing works. After researching, this is a common issue. Sorry, Dyson, but I’m not in the habit of mailing your product back and trying out refurbished units.

Can't beat dyson quality and build. Air purifier works as expected.

Dyson is one the brands in the world that you know that whatever product you are buying from them is solid. This purifier is no exception, we had an older purifier in our bedroom that was still good but needed to move it into our daughters room as their old one had died. I received the Dyson and had it set up in about 10 minutes. I connected it to my wi-fi as the remote did not work at first, realized it needed a new battery I did not have one that size so i had to do without and use my phone to control it. I understand the need to make the remote small and sleek but having 2032 batteries around the house is not very common for me and I am not sure how many people just have those lying around. Having the wi-fi controls was a life saver now by happen chance my internet went out later that day and I could not control the purifier with anything, It is a bit of a bummer there are no onboard controls on the actual unit. besides that once I had the purifier going I could immediately tell a difference in the air. So far the air in our bedroom has felt fresher and cleaner than with the previous purifier. when you have night mode on the purifier is incredibly quiet during the night and does not bother me anywhere near our old one did. This is definitely one of the better purifiers I have used.

Dyson Purifier Cool Formaldehyde TP09 - White/Gold The Dyson filter/fan/air purifier is made in the same form as the older style Dyson fans. The oval shape used to be used as an airfoil to multiply the air it moved. This unit can reverse the flow of air from a front facing fan (I’m going to call it a fan from now on, you know it’s much more than that). To a rear facing fan with a wider range of flow. It can oscillate from, None, 45, 90, 180 and 350, almost a complete circle. While in night mode the display dims and the fan spools down to almost off, it is almost completely silent. There is a very slight feel of air moving in the center of the airfoil, but it is not adding anything to the overall output. It really can’t add anything because the output is on the face, it’s not part of the airfoil. In the manual it states a cooling mode. This unit does not have a cooling unit. Read carefully and you’ll find they do state the cooling mode is just a fan. The remote attaches magnetically to the top of the unit, don’t lose it. Going by the cost of previous models I’m guessing around $80 and will probably last about 6 months depending on use. It has a sleep timer that I use the other way around. I set it for how long I want it to run while I’m working. It also has a timer that you can set to run for a specific amount of time and then turn itself off. It has a HEPA filter. This is in the hospital grade level filtration. It can also be set up on a schedule to turn on and off at your time requirements. Speed and night modes are also available and work extremely well. I really like the night mode; in this mode the display light is not visible once you turn the lights off in the room. For the price, if it were just a fan, or filter, it would be out of range, even for Dyson. But this unit has all of that plus real filtration up to hospital grade. Once you add in everything you get Dyson is only padding it a small bit. And I’ll bet in 6 months the price will be even better. One last thing, it can tilt forward or back 10 degrees. So it can push air around in larger rooms. For a full set of instructions just search Dyson TP09, you’ll find it online.

Not only does Dyson make some of the nicest looking products on the market, but they sell some of the best and that seriously includes this purifier. The product comes in beautiful packaging and is well packed and comes with simple and easy to use startup guides. Let's talk pros and cons Pro's - Beautiful aesthetic. - the auto feature works exceptionally well - you will never hear this product (mine is place in a bedroom) - Has filters in the back and front of the product - will detect and filter out formaldehyde (which is not a worry in my home but nice to know it will detect it and filter it out) -offers other great features. -the filters are HEPA approved Con's - Even the aesthetic is quite thin, I would have liked it to not be so tall - since their are two filters, replacing them will be $80 each time. -almost $600 with cheaper options on the market. Overall, I am very pleased with this purifier and really do like it. I also would highly recommend it despite its price tag. I am a firm believer in paying for quality product provides quality service (whatever the product serves to do). However, I have also owned Shark purifiers that are half the price and do the same job. Aesthetically though, they pare in comparison to this Dyson.
