This Purifier is a game-changer. The air quality in our room was so bad previously, and this fixed it within 2 hours. My wife and I can actually breathe now. This product is well worth the price, and I definitely recommend it

How does this Dyson purifier stack up long-term?

This is my first foray into the Dyson realm so I wanted to see what all the hype is about. My primary care physician recommended that I invest in getting an air purifier for the home since I deal with allergies and asthma daily. So having 2-story open floor plan home in Texas, the Dyson purifier hot+cool HP2 would be a good option to test its capabilities. Summers are relentless due to the dry heat and additional room fans are a must. Dyson HP2 Opening the Dyson purifier showcased a beautifully crafted 12-pound air purifier which is able to cool and heat a small to medium sized room. The packaging is minimal, which includes the purifier, remote and Hepa filter. The Dyson HP2 fits perfectly in my family room with its elegant design and craftsmanship. It's easy to keep clean and wipe clean and maintain. We have pets and Im allergic to dust, so this product was a need in our household. How does it perform This one is a still TBD longerm, but I’m seeing positive results from the air quality results in the MyDyson app. Having the ability to see the indoor humidity, and monitor the indoor temps are something I didn’t expect from this purifier. After I set the continuous monitoring mode on the remote. I’m testing this purifier in the middle of summer, so I didn’t get to test the heater function. The fan speed settings go from min to max and its pretty loud at its highest setting. It pushes a good bit of air as well. Having Wi-Fi capability to update fan speed from the app is also a plus. The 350 degree radius is perfect for my large family room. This is the reason I really wanted this device . Keep in mind, this device doesn't have the air conditioning built in. It's able to cool based on the fan. Cost of ownership One of the main concerns with Dyson products are “are they worth the cost”? This is a consideration one must make. The cost of the device plus the cost of replacing the Hepa filter annually. Having the ability to cool, heat and purifier all in one device is really neat. After spending some time with the Dyson purifier, the annual cost of ownership would be my only concern so far.

After having an HP1 for a couple years and very satisfied with it, I was curious how they would make improvements. Well here we are, all the previous features and functions plus some new ones. Unlike the previous machine that did a good job of cleaning the air with its charcoal filters, this one appears to actively clean nitrogen dioxides out of the air which give you clean unscented air. The closest I can compare is being in a forest after a rain or close to it. The beauty is you can set it to auto so it will continually measure air quality and only kick on when things start to get above normal. Using the app, you can easily control all the functions from the palm of your hand. It also integrates with services like Google and Alexa. Also from the app you can see air quality reports, humidity levels and temperature just to mention a few items. Getting everything connected was as simple as following the prompts on the fan and the app which took just a few minutes. There is also an included remote that magnetically attaches to the top of the fan so it doesn't get lost. Overall, this is a highly functional, great looking device that when winter comes I will be taking advantage of its heating capabilities as well.

Quiet purifier and air mover, cool features

The Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool HP2 De-NOx is the 4th air purifier in my home and, surprisingly, the first Dyson product of any kind. I've always thought the Dyson air movers were really cool looking products, just haven't had the means to use one at home until now. #Unboxing and First Impressions# The Dyson HP2 came in a box with a lot of empty space and without a ton of packing materials. As a result, the box had a pretty significant dent when it was left on my porch. Fortunately, there was no damage to the product itself, so if you order one from the website and the box ends up looking a little rough, don't necessarily assume that the fan inside is damaged. Fit and finish are pretty good, especially the power cord - it's seriously beefy and a reminder that this thing has a heating function as well as cooling and purifying. #Using the HP2# While the Dyson HP2 comes with a remote and has a pretty nice display for showing you sensor readings and settings, I went ahead and set up the MyDyson app on my android phone to make sure I was getting the best use of all the features. The app was very easy to set up, and I had the fan connected to my home network and managed through the app in no time. Over the last few weeks I have found myself using the remote or app interchangeably, just using whichever was within reach. One great feature of the Dyson HP2 is that it actually pauses the oscillation when you use the remote, so it stays pointed in one direction for you to easily read the screen. One big benefit to the app is that you can view the air quality or change settings from anywhere, which is pretty hany if you have the unit in a child's room (as I do). I've found the Dyson HP2 moves a surprising amount of air at any given noise level, until you get to the absolute strongest setting. At that point, I found the Dyson fan was a little louder (or at least, a more obnoxious tone) than the cheap tower fan I've been using in that room for a few years. At anything other than "10" on the scale, the Dyson is much quieter and still moves a good amount of air, though. And of course, the Dyson HP2 has a strong air filtration system as well as heating elements. I particularly like that you can run the fan in a reverse mode to disperse the heat more evenly without directing it right at you. Cost for the replacement filters is fairly high but not out of line with other premium air filter brands and they last for 12 months according to Dyson. I found they do a good job at removing odors. It's in a twin boys' room currently, and it's putting in WORK. I hadn't really thought about it in the 3 weeks I've had it in there, but today we had a power outage and I neglected to power the HP2 back on. I went into their room and was hit with full on "boys of summer" smell - you know the one. Fortunately a few minutes with the Dyson running and it was back to bearable :). #Final thoughts# It's hard to argue with the quality of product that Dyson is offering with this HP2 Purifier. Really the only complaint I can come up with is the high price, but even that is actually justifiable in my opinion considering the features they are offering as well as the performance in a fairly small footprint. If your budget allows it, the Dyson HP2 combines the best air purifier with a great air mover and space heater into one package.

Does a great job of pulling harsh elements out of the air. My allergies aren’t nearly as bad since using this. While there are cheaper “box” air purifiers out there, this is definitely a style choice. This looks great in the home. Very future-modern. The LED monitor on the front gives live air quality monitoring. It works too. Burn an egg on the stove, air quality on the LED goes red. 10 minutes later after cycling the air in the room the air quality registered green. Remote is easy to use and the app works brilliantly as well. This is even compatible with Google home for integration in automations. Replacement filters are inexpensive if you look around, so long term maintenance is a minimal issue with this. It’s a decent size and takes about 8-10 minutes to cycle my 400 sqft living room/kitchen “great room” with an open floor plan. Overall it’s an impressive unit that rates well between the cheap desktop purifiers and the ginormous, boxy hospital grade whole house air purifiers. With it’s fashionable looks and ease of use, my family is looking forward to many years with this air purifier.
