I brought this hair dryer for my wife for Christmas because she thought that it would work better for drying her hair. She used to have a BabyBliss Pro and it took about 45 minutes to dry her thick hair (and the back of her head would still be damp). After using the dyson, it only took her 7 minutes and EVERYTHING was dry. She noticed less frizz and her hair felt cleaner and shinier. The product itself is very straightforward. Three speed settings and three heat levels and a cool option. The attachments are magnetic and really stay on. The air return is on the bottom on the handle and the dryer itself sounds like a dyson vacuum (in reverse) but much quieter...at a level where you can have a conversation without yelling. The one caveat I have to mention is that this hair dryer is not for everyone. My MIL also tried it and it did not make any difference in how it dried her hair or in the frizz or shine or length of time. It really depends on the type of hair you have if this is going to make a difference. But if it's right for you...it's truly incredible.

Expensive, certainly, but worth it! It's very quiet, temperature control is excellent, and air speed control is excellent. It makes my straight hair have volume and it dries my hair so fast. The attachments click on magnetically and really help to straighten or style my hair. The only down side is if you don't have any attachments on it, the blast of air isn't good to have in your ears. Is it worth the money? Absolutely.. for me.

Bought this for my wife - this is her review: This is a great hair dryer. What makes it different from others? Not only does it dry my (thick) hair faster, but it is gentler than my previous hairdryer (a Rusk). My old hairdryer could dry my hair just as fast but left my hair a good bit frizzier. For me, this alone makes the price (the only negative) worth it. The other great thing about the Dyson is the attachments. For me, the one that tames fly away hair is the most useful. If this is something that you struggle with, you’ll love the Dyson. As much as I love it, would I suggest you go broke to get one? No. But if this is in your budget, I think you’ll love it.

I feel like this blow dryer is amazing the attachments to smooth out your hair is the best it works incredibly well. As long as you clean out your vent and keep that clean this thing's going to last forever! To me it's worth every penny. It dries your hair faster than a normal blow dryer as well!

I have been hearing a lot of good things about this hair dryer. I hesitated for a long time since it's very pricey. Bought it after much thought and am glad I did. It cut my hair drying time in half, is lightweight and leaves my hair feeling and looking healthy. Cuts down on the frizz too. I love the attechments though I have to admit I only use the smoothing fly away attachment and the gentle air attachment most of the time. I am not very good about fixing my hair and usually just wear my hair in a bun or honey tail. Since purchasing this hair dryer, I have been wearing my hair down with confidence.

Yes, this product is expensive. If you don't have the money, then don't purchase it. Buy what you can afford. I have several dyson products. This works flawlessly like my other products. I have fine, straight Asian hair. I hated hair drying in the winter because it would take me a good 10 minutes. I'm always running late and one step I absolutely will skip is drying my hair even when it's 15 degrees out. I purchased the Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer in White/Silver. When on the high setting, my hair drys within 3 minutes. It usually comes out more tangled than normal. That's not a problem for me because I brush my hair after anyway. I usually stick to the medium setting which takes about 5 minutes. With a cheap $20 hair dryer from Walmart, it would take 10-12 minutes. I'm the type of person who HATES spending time doing my hair. My hair is uncooperative and will absolutely not be styled (again, super smooth, fine, straight, Asian hair). I actually enjoy doing it now because I love picking up the beautiful, modern, small machine and my hair drying within 5 minutes. I think the engine in the handle makes a difference in how you handle the hair dryer and how close you can get to your hair. With other hair dryers, I have to keep my arms so far away because my hair would get snagged in the air intake. My hair is long so I'm so happy to not get several hairs ripped out on a daily basis from the air intake because it's at the bottom of the handle.

The Dyson is the best hair dryer I have ever had! It is easy to hold and operate. My hair is dried in record time! Also best of all there’s no frizz which is what I’ve always had to deal with. I highly recommend the Dyson hair dryer!

Love the way this blowdrier leaves my hair. Honestly, dries and styles it in half the time and i love that there is no noise while using it and the attachments are great.

This was a Valentine's Day gift for my wife and she absolutely loves it. The thing she commented on the most during the first week was how light it felt while using it, which is due to the motor being lower in the handle instead of up in the main body. This equates to better balance. It moves plenty of air, but is much quieter than the unit it replaced and she says the controls are easy to operate. The magnetic connection for the attachments is also first class. We like to travel and the size also makes this a great space saver. The only drawback for us, if there is one, is that it isn't dual voltage. Then again these days most hotels provide a blow dryer in the room so it wasn't a deal breaker.

The perfect replacement for my older noisy hairdryer. The Ultra blue/Bush pink is a lovely combination. With a little help of the Dyson videos for guidance, I am able to dry and style my fine shoulder length hair almost as well as my hair stylist, who also uses the Dyson hairdryer in her hair salon. My hair is really silky and shiny after I use my Dyson and holds the style well. The convenience of the magnetic feature makes changing the attachments a snap. The lower noise volume is the extra bonus. I love my Dyson.

This hair dryer has won my heart. I was very skeptical at first about the fly away attachement, but it works like magic! The whole unit is very light, easy to use, and clearly very high quality.

While it is a high value hair dryer, the cost is worth every penny for the feeling of my hair. I have coarse and thick hair, 3b to be exact. It takes me about three to four hours to dry my hair with a normal hair dryer. It took me an hour with taking breaks to dry my hair with this dryer. I was amazed at how soft my hair felt afterwards yet how dry it was. With just one pass of my straighter is able to get my hair slick. Best part it was not frizzy at all and has lasted until my next wash.

I had needed a new hair dryer for quite a while, but really didn’t know what I wanted. I knew right away that I wasn’t going to buy a cheap one that would end up breaking or frying my hair within a months time. So, I started doing research about the different products and the companies. The Dyson hair dryer continually showed up at the top of all the lists for quality and technology. I will admit, the $400 price tag caused me to stop dead in my tracks though. Once the initial shell shock wore off, I decided to go to a few stores and see the dryers in person. There were so many options, each one claiming to be better than the last. Each one had things I liked, but none of them checked enough boxes to convince me to buy. That is until I looked at the Dyson. It is truly lightweight and effortless to hold and manipulate in your hands. The diffuser and nozzles attach with magnets, so switching between them is super easy and convenient. The air filter is in the bottom of the handle and simply twists off for cleaning. It has 3 speed and 3 heat settings with an addition button for cool air (which actually blows cool air almost immediately). The heat settings are amazing, and I usually only use the two lowest settings, but the hottest setting is great for thicker haired girls. And my favorite part, is that it weighs less than 2lbs and it so much quieter than any other hair dryer ever! I can actually have a conversation with my husband while I’m drying my hair when needed. And finally, this incredible machine dries my hair in a fraction of the time and does so more efficiently. This was easily the best money I ever spent on myself, and I would highly recommend it to everyone.

The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer truly blew me away! It's honestly on a whole different level compared to other dryers.
