Have had this for a couple weeks... so far, so good... it has very powerful suction but pretty heavy and hard to manuever on carpet. Guess I'll get my bicep exercise ;) ... Emptying is a breeze - really like that feature.... Too bad it doesn't have headlights ... I have other vacuums that have that feature and it's very handy and makes it easier to see dust on hardwood,etc ... Also would like to see "self-cleaning" roller - again, another vacuum I have has this feature and it's great - with Dyson I still have to clean the roller. Now, is it worth $800? Probably not...

I guess you can say I’m a little brand loyal to Dyson. I own an air purifier, hair dryer and numous vacuums (I may have a compulsion!). Over the years I’ve had the DC07, DC25, Big Ball Cinetic, V6, V8, V10. All still work, the DC07 is 18 years old! Dyson got it right again with the V11 Outsize. One of my complaints with the V8 and V10 were the size of the brush heads. The suction was great, but it seemed to take me longer to vacuum. The V11 fixes this with the large brush head, it is minimally smaller than that of my Cinetic. Not only does it cut down on vacuum time, it is very maneuverable. The suction rivals that of vacuums that are significantly larger. Love having the additional battery, but I really haven’t had to use it. I can do my whole 2 story house on one charge. The larger bin size is also a welcome addition. I rarely pull out my full size vacuums, even with my constantly shedding Dalmatian residing in my home. Those little hairs that weave into everything are no match for the V11. The fact that it automatically adjusts to different floor surfaces is also a huge plus, as I have a combination of carpet, vinyl, tile, wood and marble throughout my home. Highly recommended vacuum.

I upgraded from a corded 6 year old dyson. Going cordless I knew I wanted longer run time which pushed me towards choosing outsize. I also was attracted to the standard bin and head size. This vacuum lives up to the hype! It is very powerful and quick to clean up. I love the ease of the cordless but the power of a full-size vacuum. I see dirt? Vacuum is in my hand in seconds and dirt is gone. Vs. the old vacuum that would take a while to set up and put away. Or I would leave the old vacuum out and my husband would trip on the cords. Whoops. I think the complaints of the weight come from others who are used to the lighter cordless Dysons. I do not mind it at all. Holding the trigger the entire time doesn’t bother me either. I am out of shape with carpal tunnel so I was worried about these items. So relieved when the vacuum finally arrived... those complaints went out the window. This is the new age of vacuuming. Cut the cord!

best vacuum we ever purchased so powerful and 2nd battery allows us to never run out of power. Easy to clean and the attachments make easy work of any job I highly recommend this vacuum to anyone. Great to clean the stairs and also perfect to clean the car. The larger head makes doing the hardwoods a breeze.

I have been a loyal Dyson cordless vacuum user for over a decade. I have continually bought each generation of the cordless vacuum line and I am always amazed at how each successive model is better than the previous one. This is no different. Wider cleaning path, much longer battery life, larger dirt storage area. It all adds up to a fantastic vacuum that beats any corded model——hands down, no contest. Is it a tad heavier than earlier editions—yes. But that’s why you are buying it. If you need a lighter cordless vacuum for whatever reason then buy another model Dyson. This is a workhorse. It will run for an hour and you don’t have to empty the bin until you call it a day. A Clydesdale is bigger and heavier than a Shetland pony. They each have their respective purposes. This is a Clydesdale. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t even notice the slighter larger dimensions and small increase in weight but others apparently do. It won’t even be notice to 90% of the people using it. The negligible trade off between weight and performance is well worth it.

I love this vacuum! It's cordless and very light. It's also very easy to clean. The plus side is that it comes with two rechargeable batteries. I've had times where one battery would die on me while I wasn't done vacuuming, so having one backup is wonderful!

I purchased this vacuum after my older Dyson V6 could not be repaired. This vacuum is very powerful and the battery life is fantastic. The only thing is that it is also much heavier than my V6. After vacuuming my entire house, my arm is pretty tired. It’s a great way to vacuum and get a workout at the same time.

Bought it for my girlfriend and she loves it. This thing has unbelievable power for a portable unit. We have the charging unite mounted in the garage for easy access. The only negative i can think of is the price. But you get what you pay for and this vaccum delivers. Also like the fact it comes with an extra battery.

This is my third Dyson vacuum cleaner. The first was and still is the Dyson Animal, which has great suction but you cannot vacuum under furniture unless it's a foot off the ground. I also have the handheld vacuum which is great for picking up small areas and vacuuming blinds, walls, etc. The battery is strong and rechargeable, but doesn't really last long on a charge, The Dyson Outsize is the best yet, It can go under almost all furniture, including beds. It has great suction and the batteries last a long time. You get two batteries with the purchase so you never have any down time. It was excellent at picking up Christmas tree needles and now the oak pollen dry squiggles which fall in the spring. I'm currently suffering through them. The dogs bring them in on their feet and legs from outside and drop them all over the house. This vacuum is light enough that it doesn't wear you out lugging it all over the house. This is a must buy.

Upgrading over a 5 year old version. This thing is better in every way. The large canister, attachments, suction, and volume is light years better. It is heavy and large. It’s fine for me and my wife but would be too much for the kids to handle and possibly senior citizens.

This is a fantastic vacuum. I love how big the bin is. I feel like the auto setting (middle setting) is more powerful that the max setting of my prior Dyson. The only complaint is that it's a little heavy, but it's not that bad. It's so easy and convenient to use.

This vacuum is great for non carpet surfaces, on carpet the suction is so strong that it can be hard to push; it is also not a light item so after vacuuming for a while, your arms can get a little tired. Battery life is great as it lasts forever.

Love love my Dyson. I love all the attachments that come with this model. One battery will vacuum the whole house. The fact that it is cordless is my favorite feature. It is light weight and wonderful for my stairs.

Bought this vacuum because my son son had bought one, and wife loved it. We upgraded to the larger model, and it was a bit heavier, but is worth it because it lasts longer and has a bigger canister, so less dumping. Kind of pricey, but worth it.

The must-have vacuum for stairs and hard-to-reach foyer ledges. I have used the vaccine cleaner 6 times in the first month. It’s so easy to use since it doesn’t have a cord. It cleans tile flooring very well. I can keep my floors clean with ease.

I’m really enjoying this product. The suction on boost mode is amazing. I’m glad it comes with two batteries. I just wish it came with the stand or a holder. For the amount of money you shell out it should really come with it... but over all really good product.

The ease of grabbing this vacuum and going to work is great. No need to worry about cords and plenty of charge time to get the entire house done. The suction power is great and all the attachments are a bonus too. Great for in the car too.

Gotta say wasn’t to sure on these cordless vacuums and took a chance on this one as came with 2 batteries and larger canister. Gotta say it works awesome! Easy to assemble and easy to use! Been using on “Boost Mode” as last vacuum we had (Dyson Animal Ball) hadn’t been working well for awhile. I was actually a little disgusted in how much was pulled up out of the carpet on the first vacuuming! This thing has all kind of suction power and worked great! Only downsides I found was canister filled pretty quickly and the battery drained quickly on “Boost Mode”. Believe both of them issues will be better going forward though as shouldn’t have as much to pick up and therefore won’t need to use the strongest power setting. Gotta say no more doubts if these battery vacuums work and would highly recommend this one!

Amazing vacuum. I wish there was an easier way to clean the power head...but love the fact that they give you two batteries, two chargers. Love the dirt laser on the hardwood power head.

I love this vacuum. Its powerful and comes with two batteries for extended run time. I also have the v10 and this blows it out of the water. It is heavier, so keep that in mind. The larger bin is so nice, dont have to empty all the time now.
