Being able to use the different models of vacuums in the store was instrumental in being able to choose the right one. I love my Dyson V11. It is lightweight, has great suction, the battery lasts through my entire house, and the ability to convert it into a handheld to clean my stairs and furniture is wonderful. I have long dreaded vacuuming because of my last one, but I actually enjoy cleaning my house now. I recommend this vacuum wholeheartedly. The people at Best Buy were so helpful in not only choosing ones to try and showing me ones online, offering to order a different model if that is what I chose. And, again, being able to use it in-store on both carpet and hard surfaces were so helpful.

This thing rocks. I stayed away from battery powered vacuums just because I always thought they couldn’t compare to the plug in versions and boy was I wrong. First, I got the Dyson V11 home and upon opening the package, I couldn’t believe just cool thing vacuum is. Yes, I know it’s just a vacuum but there is no better way to describe how this vacuum looks. I went through the package and unloaded the tons of accessories that came with it and before I installed the wall mount, I had to plug it in so it could charge up since pressing the trigger at this point told me that it needed to be fully charged before using. It did take almost 4 hours to fully charge which was fine since it was late when I picked it up and the day was almost over. The next day, after coming back from my dog walk, I had to try this cool new vacuum. The trial went on for about 45 minutes since I was actually having fun using this thing and that’s not something you usually say about vacuuming. So, after using it for 45 minutes, this thing runs circles around my plug in Dyson. The most powerful setting is too powerful for my rugs and wants to eat them. The middle setting is very strong and is what I ended up using for most of my vacuuming and even having to step down to ECO for some surfaces since even the middle setting is very strong. This version of the V11 Torque (SV15 model) came with a click in battery and also a stronger motor than the older model with the screw in battery which is something I was specifically looking for when I went shopping for this vacuum. Only thing I wish this vacuum came with is the fluffy head attachment but I’ll definitely pick one up in the next couple of weeks since the one from the V10 works fine with this one and uses the same power. If you’re on fence and can splurge on one, don’t hesitate and get it, it’s super COOL.

I was extremely skeptical about a battery powered vac as our only vacuum (enough battery life, strong enough suction, etc) but took the leap. We have a 4000+ sq ft home (mix of carpet and hardwoods). The V11 exceeded my expectations and was able to cover it all in a single charge, while pulling up dirt we didn’t know we had. It’s very quiet (compared to a traditional upright vac) but don’t let that fool you. We feel liberated without the cord and are actually able to do quick cleanups more easily and quickly because of its convenience. Wish we hadn’t waited so long to purchase this. Dyson’s experience really comes through with this product.

I have a dog and a cat, and it's important to me to have a vacuum that effectively gets rid of pet hair. This vacuum has a lot of power, and is lightweight enough to use on stairs and other places where my other vacuum (a Shark corded vacuum) is awkward. I've used the Shark and then gone over the same area with the Dyson, and the Dyson always picks up more pet hair and dirt. The only thing that's a bit of a negative is that on some carpet densities, the strong suction makes the vacuum difficult to push/pull, but that's not a deal-breaker. It's expensive, but for me it's worth the price.

Definitely high quality and good performance. Easy to empty the bin. Charges quickly. Main head with rotating brush works well. Quiet operation. One slight drawback is if you want to use the other attachments in the hand held mode, the attachments connect directly into the main barrel. For example if you'd like to use the crevice tool alone similarly to a 'dust buster' you connect the tool to the main barrel, there's no smaller tube. With the crevice tool attached to the main barrel, there's a bit of a 'wiggle' with the crevice tool that's not awesome. It's not terrible, but if you like to take the crevice tool to a section of carpeting that really needs some extra love, it's going to have some play to it and not be totally stiff against the carpeted floor as you're running it across. Other than that, it's quick, convenient, quiet, high performance, and attractive.

Does a great job vacuuming. It will become my main vacuum cleaner replacing a Kenmore canister that I had been using. I no longer have to fiddle with an electric cord that slowed my effort to get the cleaning done. The house is a small split (1000 sq. ft.) with large area rugs in 3 bed rooms and living room. The kitchen and bathroom has linoleum floors. The dyson automatically adjust its suction to the surface being vacuumed. When I am done I still have 65% to 70% of the battery charge remaining. Emptying the dyson is simple with no mess. I couldn't be any happier with it.

The smart technology ensures that I don't have to change heads or speeds when I go from hard floor to carpet. It is the powerful cordless out there today. It also lasts longer than 60 minutes on a hard surface too. The attachments allow me to clean ceilings, furniture and even my car. The initial charge is 3.5 hours, but after that, it usually charges back in about an hour with my usage. My nieces and nephews live to vacuum with it, and they ask their parents to buy one for the house!

You’ve heard right this thing SUCKS big Time. Ready to install new carpet? Don’t even bother hiring someone, this thing will pull up your carpet, nails, floorboards and the Kid’s Cat if you’re not careful. I’ve never felt this much power in my hands. No Mortal should have this Godly Tool. It’s light, Portable, sleek and reassuringly makes a Scfi laser weapon sound as you would want from a device of this caliber. With Great Power comes great responsibility and by buying this “BlackHole-In-A-Can” you too will strike shall have the power of a BlackHole.

This vacuum makes vacuuming a breeze. It’s so easy to use and the cordless feature eliminates so many frustrations. I have vacuumed my entire home without the battery nearing the need for a recharge. I do have to empty the waste 2-3 times for a vacuum of my full home, but it is really easy to do on this vacuum (and something I dreaded with my previous one). Suction is fantastic and the adjusting from rug to hardwood is reliable (our home is hardwood with rugs). I would definitely buy it again. Zero complaints!

Started out terrible. Arrived with the box busted open and ripped in several places. UPS man actually said he thought items were missing, so the shipping is bad and could be packaged much more secure. Opened it and didn’t seem damaged. Installed very easy and after charging, simply amazing how well it works. So weird but I think it is more powerful than our full sized corded Dyson. Very happy but the bin does fill up quick so the model with the bigger bin might be wise. Or are we just dirty folks with carpet??? Oh no!

I love this cordless dyson v11. It has great suction power and very easy to use. Love all of the attachments. Makes cleaning my carpet stairs sooo much easier. Cons: you have to always hold in the trigger for it to be on. Can get tiring after a while. -hair does wrap around the base roller. So you still have to take it out and cut off the long hair as it gathers over time. However it is easy to get the roller in and out vs a standup dyson. Overall, extremely happy with my purchase. Vacuum almost every day now, just for fun.

I have owned many Dyson battery and plugin vacuums over the years and this vacuum is in another league of its own. I have been so impressed with this every time I use it. It has been over 7 months since I purchased this and use it nearly every day. The battery life has not diminished nor has its suction power. I mainly use the motorized floor attachment and keep the vacuum in auto mode. It does a fantastic job on carpet and hard floors. I can vacuum my 3,000 sq ft home with out needing to charge the battery.

I got this for tile floors knowing that I wouldn't be able to use it on carpets due to poor battery. If you aim to purchase for use on carpets DON'T! You'll have 18 mins on a fully charged battery on level 2 suction (out of 3 levels). If you intend to use on floors on an everyday basis to collect hair and large particles (will not suck fine dust like swiffer) then this might be a good buy. It has 3 suction/battery levels: eco: not good suction max battery (the claim of 60 min of battery applies to eco on bare floors). auto: good suction you get 44 mins on fully charged battery on floors 18 mins on carpets, don't expect it will pick up fine dust off the floors but it will pick up larger pieces and most hair, ideally use it first then go over the same area with swiffer, they complement each other as swiffer doesn't pick up large pieces but does better job with dust and hair. boost: optimal suction but practically unusable you only get 8 mins on floors. For all intended purposes most people will use auto on floors most of the time. The big disadvantage is battery time. Beats me why Dyson does not offer a cord with this product. This product has advantages beyond the cordless feature that make it appealing. It is light to use, it is much easier to manouver than the corded ball vacuums, very easy to assemble/disassemble, the top part that contains the battery can be removed and plugged into an outlet no need to drill holes on the wall to install a bracket. You have to constantly have your thumb on the on trigger button which can be tiresome and annoying to some people, however it seems to me it is like this for a good reason currently, that is, it makes battery use more efficient otherwise you can run out of juice before you know it. That would not be a problem if they added a cord option. The add ons do not seem to be very well thought of but not a minus in my mind because I would not use them anyway. In sum, the biggest disadvantage is battery life between charging cycles and biggest opportunity for improvement is adding a cord feature and making additional battery purchases available (not just one or two included in the product but as many as a customer would want to purchase).

Putting it together was so easy I thought I was missing something. The LED screen, power mode/info button are great additions. Makes it very easy to know the battery life and to change modes. I really like that when you are in the different modes it shows how much battery time is remaining in that mode. It is powerful and I like Auto which will change the function of the vacuum on its own depending on surface and what you are cleaning up. My only hang up is the cost. Within time I know we will feel it was well worth the cost.

I was hesitant about the weight when I first used it but it’s become second nature and doesn’t bother me and wasn’t/isn’t an issue at all! It pivots so effortlessly, glides across the carpet and onto tile and picks up EVERYTHING in one motion! It’s so easy and quick to dump the canister. The battery lasts my entire need of time for my 3500 sf house. It’s also a bonus to be able to take it to my car to quickly clean up a kid mess. I have already recommended this vacuum to friends!

If you want the best vacuum ever, then this is it! It certainly has a price tag to match that, but it would be hard to go back to a normal vacuum now. This picks up so much more dirt than our old vacuum, it is so much easier to use, and its so much lighter as well. No more fiddling with cords, or accidentally dropping your vacuum down the stairs. This is super light, easy to control and just cleans better than normal vacuums. I also like the attachments it comes with. Truly a technological marvel.

Got this vacuum to replace my dyson v10. I can well say all dyson I have owned are better than the competition. These vacuums keep getting better, which the v11 being the best I have owned. It’s quieter than the v10, stronger where I don’t need it at max all the time, and I love the added time estimation at the top. It is a bit pricier than your average vacuum, but this also isn’t your average vacuum.
