Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V6 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 20 minutes of fade free power or 17 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

I pull trigger it starts then stops over and over. Also vert poor battery design! Why doesn’t this come with interchangeable batteries for non stop operation as it only lasts 20 minutes !,, Dyson take a hint from dewalt or ryobi for gods sake!!! I would not buy again.

Christmas 2018 I splurged and bought this Dyson. I thought I was getting a wonderful vacuum compared to my old one. I wanted to keep it new so I only used it maybe 4 times and used my old one. This month I decided to use it as I wanted to clean the dog hair out of my car and this seemed to be the easiest as it was cordless and I didn't want to go to the car wash. It worked maybe 15 minutes and then it just stopped! I took it in and put it on the charger and it will not turn on. The red light flashes. I assume that means I need a new battery or a new charger cord. The trouble shooter on here will not tell me what is the problem after counting around 20 red flashes. I am not happy, I am disappointed, and I will never buy a Dyson again. Their products are over-hyped and over-priced for what you get. Angry me!!!
