However, the battery is awful you have to charge it all the time, it doesnt lock on so you have to hold the button down which literally hurts your hand after a mins bc it is pretty heavy.

Posted .Hi Danny, this is Krystal with Dyson. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review on the Dyson V6 Animal. The Dyson range of cordless vacuum cleaners has a battery-enhancing trigger. Battery power is only on when the trigger is pushed – this means that the battery is only used for cleaning, and is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles.
The V6 is great for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs.

All of our V6 cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box. The V6 should run between 16-20 minutes in regular mode and 6 minutes in max mode. While some customers use the V6 as their sole vacuum at home, the V6 line was designed with quick pick-ups in mind. If you find that 20 minutes would not be enough time, we also would recommend our compact upright or canister machines.
