For wood floors it works great. For carpet - it contstantly shocked the ever living daylights out of me. Researched and apparently common issue. I refuse to use on carpet but use for wood flooRs and tile decent. Really freaked me out.

Both have broken in under 6-month. Red-flashing lights nothing you can do. Because of the Dyson warranty, they won't replace them in store, and both times I've talked to Dyson support they've asked me to drive 30 miles to their nearest repair facility. I've now spent over $750 with Dyson and don't even have a working vacuum.
