Love the suction on this Dyson! I have two 6 X 8 rugs in the kitchen...fully charged this Dyson, yet it had to be recharged to finish...true I had used it for about 10 min. Still 3.5 hrs to recharge for 10 min.? And you cannot use it plugged in...only after being charged. So we replaced it with a regular multi-floor Dyson..which I LOVE! In fact...suction is so good on both models I will never buy any other vac but Dyson!

This vacuum is worth the purchase and has been reliable since day 1. Picks up all the dog hair without no problem. The only issue I have is the canister fills quickly and must be emptied after every use and the duration of the vacuum battery.

"Love" the Dyson cordless animal, it light, it picks up EVERYTHING from the floor right onto the carpet and no cord to worry about. I have to say from what I see, its better than my Kirby vaccum. Kids like it use it for dusting. And I'm not a fan on sweeping. I love the fact Dyson animal picks it ALL up. Dogs not so much.

Pick up in September. Vacuum is just another vacuum on normal setting, u get 20 minutes of battery life. On Maxx setting it works great, Biggest drawl back in less than 9 minutes of battery life. I called the Dyson help line also that's what they told me also If i could return it i would.

I would have definitely given the Dyson Animal 5 starts but for its lack of a trigger lock. I have a cuticle on my trigger finger that gets aggravated whenever I use it, and it's kinda painful. I think I should get to make the choice of whether to be leave it locked and running when I'm not using it and risk running the battery down prematurely. Otherwise, it's really great. Picks up animal hair from furniture with the small powered attachment with ease. Works well on floors and carpets.

I was given this vaccum from my old friend for gift. This works great and is light weight, but the pain is the trigger. The whole time that I use this vaccum, I have to hold trigger switch. This is the only down to me... Should be the button type of on/off function

I have had my animal V6 Dyson less than a week and I have used it every single day. I feel like for the price it is a great vacuum to own! I have two cats and a dog and although all my pets are short-haired this vacuum has sucked up more pet hair from carpet I have only had for a little over a year! I love how I can go from using this in my kitchen to straight into my carpeted living room without adjusting anything! Only issue I have had that kept this from being a 5-star review was that I have a thick bathroom rug and this vacuum doesn't seem to wanna go over the rug at all. (Too thick for brush to work)...that is only setback I have had.

It is pricey, but it definitely worth the price. The day I got this incredible vacuum cleaner, I fell in love with it! First I vacuumed my carpet with my old vacuum, and after I used Dyson V 6 Animal, It found even more dust and hairs. The best vacuum I’v Ever used. Just because I fell in love with it, I decided to invest my money on Dyson Hair Dryer (it is amazing as well). Thank you Dyson❤️

I am not a fan of Dyson's to begin with b/c of the hefty price tags and the fact that they are completely messy to deal with but my wife desperately wanted a cordless lightweight vac to do our wood floors; we thought that this one fit the bill but were sadly mistaken. The battery lasts exactly 12 minutes (only 6 minutes if using the "max" vacuum feature) and needs to be charged again for 3.5 hours; you can't even vacuum a single room before it quits. This product is definitely not worth the hefty $400 price tag; I was right to not like Dyson's to begin with and I will never buy another one. It does vacuum okay for a few of the minutes the battery works but I am not sure what purpose the vacuum serves for anyone only working a few minutes at a time; seems like cordless technology is still many years away. If you only need to vacuum something for a couple of minutes and can afford to spend hundreds of dollars for the ease of cordless then I guess this would work for you but it is not at all practical for me.

My last cordless Dyson was the magenta color from Costco, this one is way better. MUCH lighter, the tools are better, including the new hand-held beater bar tool (double awesome for dogs), longer run time, AND less expensive by like a hundred bucks, PLUS the old wall mounted charger works! What's not to love?

I purchased this primarily for those little jobs of cleaning up the pet hair each night. Rather than setting up the vacuum system I just unplug from the charger and do a quick sweep of the floor. It does a fantastic job of cleaning deep and getting the cat hair on the first swipe. Works great on both the carpet and hard floor.

Does everything product description says. Only upgrade would to provide locking switch so you don't have to hold down button.

I've purchased a few of these Dyson vacuums. The stick model is great for pet hair and a quick cleaning. The Ball model is for larger jobs. The units are durable, easy to use and clean. It's our go-to choice for a vacuum.

I own several Dyson vacuum cleaners - floor models and handheld units (all purchased from Best Buy) and all of the ones with the lavender top loading cartridge filter are just simply crap, as these filters continuously become clogged; thus, the machine will only run-stop-run-stop, etc. Although these handheld units are very handy and great to use for touch-ups, they do not do well for pet owners...even for those with small terriers which do not shed heavily. BTW, fully charged run time was never an issue for me. Though Dyson customer service personnel had me partially disassemble the unit and clean the additional filters and perform other related tasks, they too were unable to rectify the issue, but did supply me with (free) additional lavender filters; however, these too become quickly and too easily/continuously clogged. Washing/drying them (as instructed) will allow the unit to only run for a few minutes and then once again it's run-stop-run-stop...bah! My older Dyson handheld units (non-top mounted cartridge filter type) always work without issue...aside from the fact that the replacement battery in the oldest unit also croaked and now Dyson has advised that those batteries are now unavailable. I will never again purchase a Dyson V6 or V8 hand-held vacuum (with top loading lavender cartridge filters)...which I always eventually pass-on to those family members without pets...cheers.

I really don't have anything bad to say about this. Purchased it back in the November Black Friday sale because of the great price of $299.99. After a couple of months it has saved me time on cleanups!

I just should have bought this vacuum first. I purchased two less expensive vacuums to pick up animal hair and both failed. The Dysen does the job every single time!

50% is a good deal, but that is the only way you should buy it. Because mine died after about 18 months. So consider 50% off like buying 1 full price one that will last 3 years. Look at online reviews before you buy... there's a reason there are so many YouTube videos about fixing bad seals and such.

Everything is good except the battery seems to fail every year and it needs to be replaced
