    I bought this August 17, 2018. It is November 28, 2018, and it no longer works. The product was great while it lasted but for the hefty price tag, I expected it to last longer than 3 months! BUYER BEWARE. I sincerely regret all the recommendations I have made. I know at least 3 people that are giving these as gifts for Christmas unless I can get to them first!

    Happy when it works

    The first few months of having this vacuum were great, but now I have to disassemble it multiple times to vacuum the house. Hair gets tangled in the spindle and then it gets stuck. I understand that this happens, but I'll clean it completely, clean for 2 minutes and here we go again. I have never paid this much for a vacuum and very disappointed that I did.

One thing I can confirm is that Dyson cleaner heads do feature a sensor inside of the brush motor which is designed to stop the brush from spinning if too much tension is felt on the motor. We do recommend regular routine maintenance of the cleaner head to help ensure optimal performance from your machine.     Lasted Less Than Two Years

    I will not buy another Dyson. It didn't even last two years. The cost to repair it was almost as much as buying a new one. I hated the fact that I had to hold the trigger down continuously to vacuum. Don't believe the Dyson hype!

    nice vacuum but after two years is not working. I paid us$450 for a Dyson animal that last only two years. I firmly believe we can buy a cheaper vacuum and have the same time service or more.

    Can't even vacuum up Cheerios.

    For the price of this item, it has significantly underperformed. With 2 small children we bought this vacuum for quick clean up under the table after meal time. The floor attachment does not have the clearance to vacuum anything the size of a Cheerio. Also, the intake vent clogs quite easily. Finally, while you are vacuuming, crumbs and dirt spin around in the floor attachment brush, but fail to be sucked into the canister. So when the machine powers down, the brush stops spinning and drops the waste back onto the floor. I realize that this is not a full size vacuum, but feel it should be able to do a better job.

    Over priced and breaks often

    After 2 weeks of use, the roller stopped working (Dyson replaced). After another month, the motor stopped (Dyson gave a lengthy set of instructions that limped it along for another week or so). Motor stopped for good after another week (Dyson replaced). After another 2 months, the flip lid no longer opens (spring broke). It's one of the worst suction vacuums I've ever owned. I'll go over the same area multiple times before just giving up and sweeping the old fashioned way. Total waste of money.

    Wonderful while it worked!

    Great vacuum but only lasted two years and the motor died. We paid 400.00 for this brand new. Very disappointed in the longevity especially since we took very good care of it. Cmon Dyson you can do better than this.

The V6 is a great cordless for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs.
