Excellent cordless vacuum

Most importantly is the suction as it cleans like a corded heavy vacuum. It's lightweight and very easy to use. Definitely worth paying more for this than another brand.

Dyson V6 Animal a great portable vac

The suction is strong enough to pick up animal fur from the carpet pile. Not enough battery life to vacuum all of my carpeting, but I purchased for supplemental use. I have a Dyson corded vac as my primary.

So if you've prepped to vacuum w zero obstacles you'd be surprised how fast ya are with out a cord & lightweight appliance. If not....plug in again & prep accordingly while it charges, ya shoulda dusted first anyhow.

Posted .Hi, this is Aimee with Dyson. I am happy to hear you are pleased with the suction power of your V6 Animal cordless vacuum. This cordless vacuum is designed to have a 6-7 minute run time on Max power, and a 17-20 minute run time on standard power. It does seem your V6 Animal is currently set on Max mode. To change to standard, you will want to pull the power trigger and at the same time press and hold the Max button on the back of the machine. You should notice a pause in the power, then it will restart in standard mode, providing a much longer run time. Works well on hard surface floors, linoleum, tile, etc. Does good on low nap carpet, but for plush carpet it doesn't match a corded regular vacuum. Also works well with the attachments on furniture, or sucking up dust from cabinet drawers.

We have a lab that sheds, so being able to grab the dyson and do a quick sweep every day is huge. Don't expect to be able to sweep your house on the short battery but we have yet to see that as a problem. The multiple attachements are great too.
