Posted .Hi Tania, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for sharing your review of the Dyson V6 Animal Cord-Free vacuum cleaner. I'm happy to hear how powerful you've found this machine to be, especially when picking up pet hair. The Dyson V6 Animal has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 20 minutes of fade free power or 17 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

Best vacuum I ever owned!

After a full charge I'm able to use it several times before the battery dies. It works great on carpet and stairs. Especially useful for quick cleanups. It works amazingly well for removing cat hair off the furniture. Dyson costs more but I believe it's worth it! I would recommend that Dyson make the charging cord longer, as it was tough finding an appropriate place to mount the charging unit.
