Battery life is horrible. 20 min tops. If you’re good with spending A LOT of money for 20 min, this is for you. Great packaging and a quality product. Has excellent suction and dirt cup is easy to empty. Buy the V10. Lasts longer.

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review of the Dyson V6 Animal Cordless vacuum. I'm happy to hear you've been pleased with the suction, quality and performance of your V6 thus far in your use. Dyson V6 cordless vacuum cleaners have a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 20 minutes of fade free power or 17 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
The V6 is intended for quick pick ups in between normal cleanings and if you prefer a longer run time, we would recommend one of our compact uprights or canister models. The new Cyclone V10 vacuum offers our longest run time. It runs for up to 60 minutes on a full charge, or about 35 minutes when using a motorized floor tool. GREAT PRODUCT BUT BATTERY LIFE IS NO GOOD!
