This thing is a beast. I ran it after vacuuming with my upright and was amazed / disgusted by the amount of dirt and hair it pulled out of my carpet. Needless to say, I love this thing.

I did go with the newer unit with a longer run life and very glad I did. I have a 2800 sqft house and it keeps the charge long enough for me to complete vacuuming the entire house. I have mostly wood floors and the new hard wood floor attachments works great!

It also gets stuck with dog hair too often and this is suppose to be for animal hair pick up. I'm guessing it would be great for a light vacuum not for the entire house. Battery doesnt last very long.

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson V6 Animal Cordless features hygienic one-click bin emptying, with the push of a button to release the dirt. The 0.13 gallon bin will have a MAX fill line to indicate when it's full and time to empty. We typically recommend emptying your bin by at least the top of the MAX line that the bin has. Also, the clear portion of the bin does remove completely for optional maintenance if desired.
While the machine will offer less run time in MAX power mode, most households find standard power sufficient for everyday messes. When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

Personally wouldn't pay full price for it, but heck of deal on Holiday Sale. The extra attachments are great, but you can really only store 3 on the wall mount and no more than two if storing one of the roller heads. Dyson doesn't offer any extra storage options so that is really irritating from the engineering genius of Dyson.
