Does a great job of keeping the house clean and keeping major cleans to a less frequent event. We have hardwood floors throughout. So we haven't tried it on carpet. Also works great for furniture cleaning, and I've been using it to clean my car too.

We have used the 'POWER BUTTON" once or twice,but most of our use is for pet hair and that is not really needed. Quicker than dragging out our regular Dyson. We have had no low power issues and have run it for 15 minutes many times.

I bought it on Black Friday for a $200 discount (YAY!) mainly for daily vacuuming in my kitchen. It is POWERFUL! My only complaint is that it was too powerful for my kitchen rugs...it sucked them up which caused the rotors to stop turning...I had to buy new heavier rugs with non-skid backing in order to be able to use it in my kitchen.

Light weight but....

If I could I would upgrade to a larger canister size. I do love it for my laminate flooring. Great for quick small jobs.

Before this one I had the older model animal and this one has a-lot more suction. I have a smaller home so battery life is fine. I would recommend the V8 if you have a large home because of battery life.

With five indoor cats, a cordless vacuum that allow quick, daily vacuuming is a real time saver. This vacuum fits that bill in spades and my wife loves it. Don't ask too much from it and you'll be happy, too.
