The canister is very small in volume. The battery has failed and it will be 2 weeks to receive a new one after 3 days of verbal jousting with customer service..24-36 hrs for a reply.

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson V6 Animal cord-free vacuum cleaners have a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 20 minutes of fade free power or 17 minutes when using the motorized floor tool. While in MAX, you can expect about 7 minutes of run time.
Dyson V6 vacuums also feature hygienic one-click bin emptying, with the push of a button to release the dirt. The 0.13 gallon bin will have a MAX fill line to indicate when it's full and time to empty. We typically recommend emptying your bin by at least the top of the MAX line that the bin has. Also, the clear portion of the bin does remove completely for optional maintenance if desired.
