Original Dyson had the battery release on the handle that caused it to work intermittent ly. New Dyson does not have this problem. Works very well.

The V6 is great for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs. It does sound as if you are using it in MAX mode.

This is Dan with Dyson. I'm happy to hear the good suction has not gone unnoticed on your V6 Mattress. Our V6 Mattress is the most powerful handheld vacuum currently available in terms of suction.
The machine features a run time of 16-20 minutes on the standard power mode and 6 minutes on the much more powerful MAX mode. It is an ideal machine for quick pickups around the house or vehicle. With the time-enhancing trigger, no battery life is wasted throughout the cleaning process as the machine is only run when it needs to be.
Our new cordless units come with a 2 year warranty should there be any concerns with functionality. However, even after the maturation of the warranty we are always here to assist. We offer 24/7 US based digital support for any questions or concerns you may have.

Professional reviews suggest that there are other brands with more power for less than half the price, but user reviews suggest that most people think Dyson is decidedly the best available with the most power. Are they biased fans? Regardless, I bought this on a $70 off Deal of the Day BB offer and found it to be extremely effective. The suction power for a handheld is really good but my bases of comparison were the old junky handvac dust devils from several decades ago so probably anything is better than that. Still, if you live in a small space, this device or one like it is essential. I dusted my entire apartment in all the hard-to-reach places with this item. It would have taken me forever using a regular corded vacuum with hose & attachments. The savings in time alone make the cost of this unit worthwhile, but again, there might be another brand out there that's just as good for much less money. I won't personally go shopping for it since this one is working phenomenally well but would not discourage anybody from researching for themselves.
