The newer Dyson V7 Trigger series includes the motorized head as default. Battery life on the newer model is slightly longer as well. Best Buy sale price at the time was the determining factor in deciding to purchase the V6 Top Dog since it was substantially lower than the V7 trigger retail price.

It has good suction power but loses its charge quickly. I wasn't even able to vacuum a flight of stairs without recharging. I read the same in other reviews but decided to give it a try. The other reviewers were right.

The V6 is a great cordless for in between cleanings, quick clean ups or small areas as it does feature 20 minutes of constant suction in standard mode and 6 minutes on MAX power for tougher jobs.

We use it on our carpeted stairs and it picks up more dirt and dust than our larger vac cleaners. It is lightweight and easy to use The only minor negative point as other reviews have noted is that the charge only lasts for about 20 minutes. But it does the job better than expected.
