Was looking for cordless vac and knew about the Dyson product for some time. Bought it on sale so it was a little cheaper but still rather high priced. Have used it on the floor tile and hardwood floors as well as the garage area. Worked great and NO CORD. It is really lite and steers super easily. The wall charger is easy to insert and the power connects instantly.. Hanging on the wall allows you to go get it, suc up a little mess and return it with hardly any effort. Don't have much carpet in Florida home so don't know about how it works on carpet.

I wanted to get one of the full size ones not believing this would be better than the little portable chepos. But boy was I surprised, let me tell you that when people review these vacs and say they vacuum with their old ones and the Dyson still pulls out a lot more dirt, they are being truthful. I used to think it was hype but now I'm a believer. At first the battery was not be sufficient because the vac was working harder getting the dirt that my other vac could not reach. Now we can get the house done on one charge and the carpets are cleaner

Purchased recently during a "deal of the day" special. We have 3 shedding dogs so we wanted something to pick up fur on our laminate floors and couches. This works great! It does have a limited battery life but works great for what we need to do. I have also vacuumed my car and it got that completes without running out of battery. We also have a Dyson corded vacuum that we use for more carpeted areas on basement and bedrooms. If you are purchasing this for a larger home as a vacuum this may not meet your needs. Needed a new vacuum and bought this solely on other reviews, best purchase ever! Got this vacuum on sale and using Best Buy points making it a little more affordable. After using it a few months, I would pay full retail and have purchased another one so I’d have two Dyson vacuums! Again, best purchase ever! Extremely light weight and easy to use. Attachments are nice for corners and vacuuming the ceiling. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone! Extremely pleased with my purchase!

I have a canister vacuum which I hate. this Dyson is lightweight, portable , and no cords!! Plenty of suction and no bags!!

I have used this a handful of times since my purchase and the only negative I have is on the Max power I burn through the battery in about 15 min. but they do let you know that run time is affected by the use of it so you know ahead of time. But other then the run time, this device and all it's attachments make cleaning things like my couch a breeze. No longer lifting my 35 pound vacuum up to clean my chairs/ottomans/couch. It also makes for spot clean ups when you spill or your dog tracks in dirt very simple just pop it off the charger and its cleaned up in a matter of seconds.

I bought this vacuum bc I have young kids and hardwood floors. The soft brush head is great for hardwood floors picking up virtually anything. The regular brush head is great for carpets and rugs. Vacuum is lightweight and easy enough to operate that even my 4year old wants to help with the vacuuming. The attachments are perfect for detailing the car or even vacuuming stairs. It is a great addition to our household to help keep things more tidy.

Really powerful cordless vacuum and can do a variety of jobs with the attachments. Only concern is that the charge only lasts for about 20 minutes.

The suction power and ease of use of this vacuum is amazing. You can easily remove the stick and use as a small handheld vac for hard to reach areas. On the regular setting you get about 20 minutes of vacation time. On the Max Power setting you have about 6 minutes. I knew all of this before buying this item so I'm not disappointed. It performs the same from start to finish and when the battery dies, it recharges completely in about 3 hours.

I don't normally like to vacuum, but these are so light and easy to manuver that vacuuming has become easy. Obviously the battery doesn't last for longer than 15-20 min... but everyone that has used it at my house has been envious, and inquires about getting one themselves. It is worth the money, and if money is the issue, getting one of these on a good sale is the best way to do it affordable

This small vacuum does an awesome job of cleaning while being light and very easy to maneuver. Fantastic for cleaning the car or getting into restricted space.

We bought this with a bit of skepticism. Boy were we surprised. This is one of the best appliance purchases ever. The V6 works as well or better than our Miele upright. Yes the battery life is short, but more than adequate for our 1900 sq ft home which is approximately 60% hard floors with rugs and 40% carpet. We were so impressed with this we bought one for my parents who love it, too.

Easy to use, powerful, lightweight. The best vacuum I've ever used!

I've had another Dyson of this type (previous model) for more than 5 years. It works great. Now I decided to buy one for another apartment. I was really surprised, that Dyson became lighter, works longer, and with much more power. I'm completely satisfied by this model. I only expect that the clear bin and the cyclone cleaning process will be improved some day.

We built a log home with the obligatory loft. Got tired of hauling a full vacuum up the stairs, so bought this one. Not only is it lightweight, it cleans well on every surface I've tackled with it. Love it for the carpeted stairs to the basement! The battery does not last more than 15 - 20 minutes, but I wouldn't want to haul around a heavier battery anyway.

I have an larger corded Dyson that we bought about 8 years ago and we haven't had any problems and it's still going strong but we wanted something lighter for quick clean-ups. We thought we would try this cordless Dyson and I am glad we did. I can not believe how much power this thing has and how much dust and dirt it picks up. Great product for quick cleaning.

For a long time, I resisted purchasing of Dyson products owing to the high prices. Eventually, I purchased the Dyson V6 Total Clean. As a Mechanical Engineer myself, I simply love their technology. However, the V6 has three weaknesses: (a) 20-min battery run-length is inadequate, (b) dirt canister is too small, and (c) emptying of canister is messy and difficult; I used my other floor vacuum, with the crevice tool attached, to clean the small annular space with little success. For the above-mentioned deficiencies, within two weeks, I exchanged my V6 Total Clean with V8 Absolute! The added expense is really worth it, and thanks to Dyson for making vacuuming actually an enjoyable task! I no longer consider vacuuming a chore, and am actually looking forward to my next chance to clean the house! I love the 40-min battery run-length. Emptying of the larger canister is so easy (just lift a lever) and complete, I no longer use the other floor vacuum to clean the Dyson! As for an area to improve, Dyson should consider replacing the trigger lever with an on-off push-button; currently, my index finger gets a little tired after 5 min or so, but I can simply change my hand, as necessary.

So nice and easy to carry and get everything clean in such a quick manner especially being cordless...easy and lightweight and small charge cord makes charging convenient anywhere in the house. So nice for older people in so many ways. Great buy especially on sale!
