I live in a prewar building with 1 outlet in every room. I had to purchase a cordless vacuum because of this unfortunate fact, and I don't trust a little robot to be as thorough as me lol so I opted for this model. I am so pleased I never have to lug around a bulky machine and plug it in every time I need to clean my carpeted floors

Plus knowing that HEPA filter is not allowing ay dust to escape back is definitely reassuring. This vacuum has made me enjoy it, knowing the cleanliness and overall freshness of my home is improved. The only downside is the battery life while in max suction. But it does such an amazing job it is not an issue just to recharge.

Great little Vacume !

We’ve had one for our house for nearly 5 years - and just added the bigger one with the longer lived battery. The little “Animal” is still working just find despite having to clean up after 3 big, shedding dogs! This one we purchased for our furnished rental. So now we have 3 - I guess we recommend the product! Service at Best Buy was fine as well! Thanks!

Strong Little Vacuum

The only issue I've had with it so far is the door that is supposed to open when emptying the canister doesn't. I worked the first few times then stopped. I figure it's just my luck, not the actual product. I would like to see the battery life last a little longer, but it las long enough to get my small 750 sqft home.

Great vacuum, short battery life

Very easy to clean, and the fact that when you dump the tank it cleans the excess off of the outside of the filter was reason enough for me to make this purchase. No more sticking your hand up into the tank to grab hairs and clumped dirt off the filter. The only con to this vacuum is that the battery life is pretty short and it takes a while to charge. About 20 minutes of usage on maximum suction and over and hour to charge back up. Should be the other way around.

Poor Battery Life

So I can only vacuum one room at a time. It is ridiculous. I live in a very small apartment and (ssshh) only vacuum 2-3 times a month so it hasn't been used very much. I will reach out to Dyson or Best Buy and update my review if they are helpful in replacing this vacuum.

While we can't guarantee a lifespan for the battery due to varying factors, I can confirm that we would generally expect the battery to outlast the free 2-year guarantee provided with all new machines purchased from an authorized retailer. While we don't expect problems to occur, the guarantee is in place to help protect against any problems that may ever arise or come up with a new purchase. Great entry level Dyson

This vacuum is light, mobile, collects debris effectively and battery is sufficient for our 2300 sq ft home. Battery lasts about 30 minutes when we use low setting. This is plenty of time for us to vacuum floors and couches upstairs and downstairs. Takes about 3 hours to charge and ypure ready for round 2 if need be.

worth it for our first 2 weeks

Had this vacuum for about two weeks and so far the Dyson brand is living up to the hype. We are hesitant about spending so much for a vacuum. We have tried all the other brands and they tend to last about 6 month to a year before our two dog's hair gets the better of those units. Our dogs are shedding now and so far it is not clogging or losing power.
