This was an upgrade from our 6v pet hand held. It's quieter than the previous model and the battery lasts longer. The best part is the improved disposal setup.

Fast shipping, good price, and assembly and set-up was fairly simple. Only issue was with the wall mount charging/storage item...not very strong.

Posted .Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that you've found the run time on the V7 Animal to be short in your use. The Dyson V7 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

It has so many other features that you can use it for such as a head for vacuuming your car or stairs, etc. The battery last longer than I expected too. Have loved it so much!

I did not know it was cordless. I returned the product unopened. I cannot tell you if it works great or not. I do know Dyson is dependable.

We love the mini motorhead for picking up pet hair from furniture, stairs and other upholstered surfaces. We're sorry to hear your machine is no longer working properly. Lithium-Ion batteries are subject to degradation over time. This is completely normal and occurs with any device that uses this type of battery. Battery degradation is not a fault of the machine. It happens to all batteries in everyday items, such as mobile phones and laptops. Unfortunately, we are unable to advise how long each component will last in each individual's home.

It does so much more than that. Would recommend this vacuum to everyone.
