Disappointing!

The Dyson v7 animal cord-free is very disappointing. The battery fully charged only ran 15 minutes and did not pick up dog hair. You cannot stand the while vacuuming to move furniture etc. I am returning!

Posted .Hello Chris, this is Kelly with Dyson. Thank you for your review. I am happy to hear that you're loving the compact, modular design of the Dyson V7 Animal. The Dyson V7 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

I believed all the hype about the Dyson vacuum cleaners and I was quickly disappointed. I couldn’t believe I spent $300 on this 20 minute powerless, low suction high priced junk. Save your money and buy something else.

All of our V7 cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box. The V7 should run between 20-30 minutes in regular mode and 6 minutes in max mode. Our new battery chemistry developed in it's six rechargeable nickel cobalt aluminum cells provides up to 30 minutes of strong fade-free suction. Pared with our patented 2 tier Radial cyclones, which has 15 compact cyclones, working in parallel across two tiers, generate powerful g-forces to fling dust out of the air and into the bin.
