I don’t normally write reviews on electronics or consumer products. But this was the exemption. Vacuum is no longer useable. On Max suction it turns off within 3 seconds and it’s no longer operable at all. I’m not sure if it’s a battery issue or design flaw from the engineering team at Dyson because this thing only works on low suction. Save yourself the frustration and buy something else.

When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. " Standard Mode is maybe 30 mins - Really, for a $400 vacuum from DYSON. I'm a big fan of DYSON, but not happy with the run time (7-30 mins) for this product! I've also seen in another comment - Dyson suggests not to run their vacuum in MAX mode --- :( :( :(

We definitely invite users to use either the max mode of the extended run powerful suction (standard) mode! However, the max mode is designed to be a temporary boost of power for particularly stubborn messes. The standard mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks. Excessive use of max mode can affect the overall battery life, so we always recommend starting in standard and only using the max mode when necessary for those stubborn messes.

The battery does not last long, suction is okay at best and the brush constantly stops turning on things like our couch, rugs etc. Nothing stuck in it but if the fabric you're vacuuming is loose at all forget about it. Complete garbage and regret purchasing this.

We have 2 dogs that shed a lot. 1 great pyrenees and 1 husky. So i thought hey, this is a dyson and my girlfriend swears by this brand ill get one. Let me tell you if this thing is made for animals then i guess i need one built for mammonths then. Because this thing can't pick up hair to save its life. maybe if you have a chihuahua then yea it will do what it claims but for large breeds this thing will choke to death. *Canister is too small for pet hair *The brush clogs on hair too easily for the money you will spend id recommend going to a different brand. but being my first dyson it did not impress me at all. I think ill save my money next time

While regular power is suitable for most household messes, you may find that some debris is more stubborn to pick up and does require MAX power mode. While in MAX power, your unit will receive a boost of power, making suction more powerful. When fully charged, you can expect run time from 7-30 minutes, depending on which suction mode and tools you are using. Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson V7 Animal cordless vacuum cleaner has a run-time enhancing trigger. Battery power is only used when the trigger is pushed – it is not wasted when moving from room to room, or moving around obstacles. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool.
When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. Dyson Animal variants come equipped with a mini motorized head which is designed to pick up pet hair from furniture and stairs. You can also use this tool with the machine in MAX power for optimum pick-up, if you find that standard power is leaving pet hair behind.

We've had it for over a year. At first it didn't stay charged for more than 20mins and lately it conks out within few minutes which is very frustrating. It's difficult to get hold of anyone in customer support and now that the warranty's expired, our only option is to toss it and get a device that does what it's supposed to.

Something that my sales rep and the manufacturer didn't disclose when I made the purchase. Definitely NOT worth the price I paid!

Cheap build with zero self propel you have to hold the trigger down too (more annoying than you might think). I’ve never personally used this considering vacuuming is not a mans job, But my woman’s hands are so wore out after using this thing she’s been leaving water spots on the dishes. Dyson please give the beautiful women of our world the vacuum they deserve, because no man should come home to a matted carpet with no freshly vacuumed carpet lines.
