While it doesn't offer the same level of performance as its V10 or V11 counterparts, but it offers 70-80% of function at 30-40% discount. For a brand that is hardly ever on discount, V7 is quiet a bargain.

Th battery life is super short i would catch myself charging it over and over

Posted .Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. Dyson V7 Motorhead cord-free features our hygienic dirt ejector, designed to drive out trapped dust and debris in one action - so you never need to touch it. The 0.14 gallon bin will have a MAX fill line to indicate when it's full and time to empty. We typically recommend emptying your bin by at least the top of the MAX line that the bin has. Also, the clear portion of the bin does remove completely for optional maintenance if desired. I’m also happy to inform you that the cleaner head of the Dyson V7 is designed to maintain optimum contact with flooring to help ensure the best performance across both hard floors and carpet. We designed the crevice and combination tools with this in mind. If you find something like cereal too large to fit under the cleaning head, use of the wand end with one of the aforementioned attachments is recommended prior to making a pass with your cleaner head.
With regard to run time, your machine will feature two suction modes, regular and MAX. All of our cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box, otherwise, when not set to MAX mode, a full charge gives 30 minutes of fade free power or 20 minutes when using the motorized floor tool. When using your machine in MAX with the direct-drive Motorhead, run time will be approximately 7 minutes. We'd value the opportunity to assist you, to make sure your Dyson is working properly. It makes chores so much more enjoyable. I use the attachments to clean my car so I don’t have to pay for that at a car wash. And frankly why didn’t they make all these wonderful colors years ago.!!

I purchased this one because it was $100 cheaper- even though it doesn’t have the same power as the animal it’s still a great buy! When this one kicks it- I will probably go back to the animal.

GREAT PRODUCT better than the iRobot

I figured I'd give the Dyson a try and WOW I AM THOUGHRLY AMAZED AND SATISFIED!! The wireless aspect also was a big draw. The only setback is the 30 min run time with the maximum suction setting.

Bought one for my mother a couple of years ago. My sister ask about it when she used it at Moms and ask why I had kept it a secret. Well worth the money and Dyson has a great customer service if you have a problem.

Charging it was something I had to get used to but with that being the only drawback, I’ll take it! This cleans very well and isn’t a huge/heavy vacuum that’s hard to store. Totally worth it, especially for younger people that could use a bang for your buck!
