      Hi Jay, this is Carissa with Dyson. We are sorry to hear you were not pleased with the running time of our V7. All of our V7 cordless units do come switched on to MAX mode out of the box. The V7 should run between 20-30 minutes in regular mode and 6 minutes in max mode. Our Dyson digital motor V7 is equipped with a re-mapped impeller and retuned electronics, to generate more power than the Dyson V6 handheld vacuum.     I’ve had my Dyson DC28 vacuum for 10 years and it still works great, so I was disappointed when this vacuum didn’t do the job I was hoping for. It could use more suction power, since I have to go over the surface a couple times to get everything up, and even then it doesn’t always get it clean.

      Hello Kate, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry that in your use thus far, you've been disappointed with the suction from your Dyson V7 Trigger. The V7 Trigger features two suction modes, MAX and regular power. While regular power is suitable for most household messes, you may find that some debris is more stubborn to pick up and does require MAX power mode. While in MAX power, your unit will receive a boost of power, making suction more powerful. When fully charged, you can expect run time from 7-30 minutes, depending on which suction mode and tools you are using.
