This is our second Dyson cordless stick. The V8 is much more powerful than our first generation machine. Battery life is about 20 minutes on high suction, about 40 minutes on regular.

This is my first Dyson vacuum. Price kept me away.. that was my mistake ! This is the best vacuum I've ever owned. Super easy to use, great suction, nice vacuum cleaner and worth the price.

Yeah it is pricey. Best Buy has the best price. It works like a dream. You have to empty it alot, but it is the best stick vacuum by far. It keeps my 1250 sq ft apartment clean with ease.

Coming from the DC-59, this is a great improvement. I was leary of the new waste disposal process but turns out is great execution. This V8 is so much quieter than my DC-59, impressively so. I like the fluffy roller for my hardwood floors however now need to change heads for my area rugs. Could use the regular roller for all floors however feel that the fluffy is a touch better on hard floors. Lastly I did struggle choosing between this and the new V-10. I feel I made the right choice given the price to value ratio. I saved a ton going with the V-8 and like the design better vs the inline design of the V-10.

This is much easier on my back than traditional vacuums. It does as good, if not better, job on my carpet and bare floors as my expensive canister did. This is now our main vacuum!

Ever since i bought this, house cleaning is so easy and joyful. I don't have carry big vacuum and having hard time for cord. It is cordless and tiny, yet so powerful. Great for the stair.

This is the best vacuum I have ever owned. It is lightweight to use on stairs and all types of surfaces. It comes with several attachments. I love that it is cordless.

This cordless stick vac is so easy to use it kinda makes cleaning, dare I say it? Fun! No big set-up, no big clean-up. Just grab it and go! A little more battery life would be nice, but it's so easy to zip through a room or two at a time. My house is much cleaner, much more of the time!

Having heard about the Dyson brand and receiving several recommendations, I decided to give it a try. I have been impressed with the ease of use and power of the V8.

This is a great vacuum, it's easy to empty, you don't touch the yucky stuff. has great suction and stays charged for 40 minutes of use. No cords, just use all over the house.

Was hesitant on the initial price, but after using for a few months, I realize it is worth every dollar paid. The fact there are no cords to limit range is a huge plus. Suction is great, and number of tool attachments works for me.

I'm so happy that I bought this Dyson Stick Vacuum. It's extremely easy to use and lightweight. My two college sons clean more regularly because of this vacuum!

It is so easy to handle and because its cord free its so ready to get and start vacuuming and before you know it you are done! It has great power and works amazing with dog hair.

Great vacuum. It is wonderful for doing quick cleanup jobs around the house that don't require the full sized version. Suction is very good and battery life has been good so far.

Dyson is always a consistently great product, and this is no exception. Easy to use and powerful. It takes a while to charge, but whatever your vacuuming will be quick and painless.

This V8 unit is quite the powerhouse. It allows for multi-surface vacuuming and it's battery life is considerably long compared to it's competitors.The best part about this vacuum is the suction, if you needed something off the floor, ie. spilled cereal, it has got it for you!
