This Dyson rocks!! I just can't believe it. I have had Electrolux central vacuum in my house for 19 years, but wanted something cordless for easy pickups in my kitchen and entryway. This little gem picks up all kinds of dirt......makes me wonder how well that central vacuum is really working. The longer battery life is great and I find myself using it more and more in place of my regular vacuum. Attachments work great for cleaning the car, vacuuming draperies, etc. I am sold on this product!!!

So somehow we got a flea infestation, and we found through researching how to combat this menace, vacuuming daily and almost everywhere was one necessary component. Our old vacuum was bulky, corded and frustrating to use. We decided to get the Dyson Absolute V8 due to reviews we read about it. Yes, it's very powerful and very portable and easy to get into and under things. On full power, though, the battery only lasts several minutes - maybe 7 as advertised, but I didn't time it. There seemed to be no warning about when the battery is low - the machine just dies suddenly. Also, recharge takes about 5 hours and you're not supposed to start recharging until the unit cools down - maybe 15 minutes. Now, having said that, if you use it on the lower power setting, the battery lasts a long time. We've been able to handle most vacuuming on high setting as we were content to just do a room or two at a time, let it recharge, then do another room or two. Also, I'm happy to report we haven't see a flea in weeks. I think the Dyson and other flea-fighting techniques worked.

This is a great vacuum. Gets the job done without the hassle of wires and having to drag a large heavy vacuum around the house. My wife prefers using this as opposed to the shark we used to have.

Hubby bought this for me because I REALLY wanted it. I love it. We are actually kind of embarrassed by how much dirt it picked up out of our carpets even though they had been recently vacuumed with our old vacuum. This is the real deal. Easy to use, very powerful in MAX mode, hangs on the wall always charging and ready to go! No bag to get clogged up, so the suction stays quite powerful. Would have preferred that it not be quite so expensive, but that's the way it is!

This is my first dyson vaccum and I cant be more happy about it . This thing is a time saver if you have toddlers.Also very easy to maneuver and handle. 40 minute battery life is plenty btw

I have owned several of the dyson competitors... some good, some bad.. but this one takes the cake! Super strong suction and easy to clean... I love the different attachments that come with this model... the new hard floor cleaner is simply awesome! We have three dogs and there is always hair on our hardwood floors... this cleans it up in a jiffy! I've been using this in all my vehicles and makes life so easy with how fast it cleans! I really love this vacuum!

I upgraded to this from a v6. It is a great upgrade. It is powerful and versatile enough to replace my big vac. I live in an apartment with carpet only in the bedroom. I have area rugs in the living room. This vacuum will handle the carpet, rugs, and the wood floors with ease. It is also much easer to clean the vacuum than it was with the v6. It also has hepa filters that are washable. The battery life is also much better than the v6

Outstanding product. Is fully capable of replacing a full sized vacuum. Exceptional battery life. I can vacuum my entire 2500 sq. Foot home (carpet and hard floors) on one charge.

I never thought I'd look forward to vacuuming. But I do. Being more mature, home chores are a bit more difficult but not with my Dyson. I am amazed at how lightweight it is, how quiet it is, and how much dust and dirt it can vacuum up in one pass of my house which is a combination of carpet, rugs, hardwood and tile. Detach the long pole to instantly have a portable that does upholstery and steps with ease. I love it.

I love this cordless vacuum. I appreciate that it’s quieter than the V6 and even better that the battery charge lasts much longer. The only down side is the price.

Our entire family has fallen in love with this vacuum. It’s suction power is amazing. With all the various attachments, there isn’t a job we cannot do. I love that it is cordless and we can grab it and easily pick up items with little effort. We also love the charging wall mount where is stays waiting and charging for the next time we use it. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

i love that it has several attachments. I use the soft spinning head for my hard wood floors, and the bristles for my area rugs. I don't use the smaller attachments as much, but I see they can be handy. The battery last much longer than my old cordless Dyson. The suction power is phenomenal! The canister is much easier to clean since it pops up when you dump the dirt. This is my favorite vacuum ever!

We've had our Dyson ball upright for over 12 years and it is still running just as strong since day one. So when I had to purchase a smaller vacuum for our vacation home, I looked right at the Dyson cordless units. This thing is incredible! Powerful and with all of the attachments it comes with, there isn't a surface it can't be used on. Got a great deal through Best Buy that I couldn't turn down.

I've used a lot of vacuums in my life. All of them were so clunky and hard to work with and lug around the house. This one makes it so easy to clean up messes or even just to occasionally do a little cleaning here and there. It gets in small places, like under the bed, so easily. The price is definitely worth the product. It comes with a lot of different attachments and a wall mount for charging.

Dyson pretty much improved the only problem with the V6: battery life. You will obviously not get the full 45 minutes when on full power but enough to clean one chunk of your house. The suction is great and the tools are awesome. There are two things to watch out for however. One, the vac gets pretty hot when on for longer than 2 minutes. Two, the air outlets can actually blow away what you want to clean so I recommend using it with the extension.

Good power with lots of attachments. Great for sucking up pet hair from the carpet, wood floors and couches. Only down side I have so far is the canister is small and I have to empty it 2-4 times while vacuuming my apt. But not really a big deal.

This Dyson has exceeded my expectations in nearly every way. Tons of suction power when used on max suction, and long run time when used on normal mode.

This has made cleaning so much easier and faster. Love the function to switch from regular suction to max suction and how easy it is to swap the parts out. Very light weight and can hold with one hand. Also, like that I can swap the tools between vacuuming the carpet to “sweeping” the floor. Also, cleaned between the seats of my car. Definitely recommend

Great Dyson cordless V8 vacuum, amazing suction & battery life , would recommend this to anyone thinking of wanting a 2nd vacuum for around the house
