Easy to use! Great suction! Lightweight! Only negative thing is the battery is not that great

Pound per pound, one of the best. Light wieght, easy to use and store. Max power really gets up dirt. Cons; have to empty it often, max power drains battery to fast.

I purchased the Dyson V8 for my mom for Christmas. She’s older and has a big heavy Kirby vacuum that seems average at best- to her heavy means it’s quality. Well I had her vacuum with her Kirby and then I vacuumed the same carpet with the Dyson. I almost completely filled the canister! I don’t blame her - decades ago cordless vacs were weak and ineffective compared to their plug-in counterparts. The Dyson V8 is proof that even a mid-level Dyson is better than what used to be a premium vacuum from the 90s. My mom isn’t a total convert yet - she’s suspicious of the battery lasting the rest of time, but with a Li-on battery, I’m not at all worried. So back to the performance of the V8 - what a great machine. I have an older model and it seems that each new verso. Of the Dyson vacs gets better and better. I love the choice of the attachment heads. The short motorized head is perfect for carpeted stairs and the long motorized head works well on shorter and longer pile carpets alike. I also love the wall hanging charger. It holds a couple attachments and takes up very little space. I’m secretly hoping my older model Dyson doesn’t hold on forever because I’m looking forward to upgrading at some point!

Great design of V8. However, it's bit more moisy than V7.

This vacuum has met all of my expectations. I love the rubber brush and the fact that hair doesn't get wrapped around like the bristle brushes. It has great power and has rejuvenated some of my older rugs when I use the higher power. The battery life is sufficient for what I use it for. I have had the battery run out quicker if I'm using the high power for an extended time. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend this vacuum.

The Dyson V8 is a total game-changer! It’s super lightweight, easy to use, and has great suction power. I love that it’s cordless, so I don’t have to deal with annoying wires while cleaning. This is really nice hand held, works as expected. I own another Dyson vacuum so not surprised. Only one issue when switched to MAX option, charge does not last long, although the MAX option not needed for my use.

I love how easy it is to use and menuever. Its light weight and has a powerful suction. However, its battery can’t handle a full day of cleaning, hardly half a day. I’ve heard there is aftermarket batteries that can replace the one that comes with it, but those have potential safety hazards. Otherwise, I am happy with my purchase.

I love this cordless Dyson!! I researched multiple different brands knowing i would come back to Dyson but then the Dyson choices were endless. After deciding the extra attachments were worth it, I bought the V8. Even without the hair attachment it clears pet hair! I have a long and medium haired cat and have had people in my house with allergies that didnt react! No better compliment can be said. Its so light I am able to walk around with it and not feel bogged down. I use this on the stairs, furniture, tile floors, bench seats and more. You will not be disappointed!

While this is great for getting literally anywhere (got cobwebs off the ceiling even) the battery life leaves something to be desired in regards to how short the life is if you need high suction. With animal hair you need stronger suction and that kills the battery quickly.

Dyson is the best, super easy to use and swap attachments.

Fantastic vacuum. I love that it is cord-free. It has made vacuuming so simple and easy. I find myself vacuuming more often than I used to because it is so simple and easy. I've been so impressed by how much it picks up even after repeated uses. Only complaint is that the battery doesn't last very long. But that is understandable. Highly recommend!!

The vacuum itself is great. We have an 1800 square foot house, and I feel like it’s the perfect size to vacuum the entire house, even with a husky. However, I’m reducing it by one star because the battery life is terrible. It takes a long time to recharge, and it’s not a huge deal because I can deep clean about half of the house in one charge and then charge again. But I wish there were battery replacements so I could just swap them out as needed.
