I bought this Dyson when it was on sale. After 8 months of use, I would give this vacuum a 4 out of 5 (overall: good). Pros: Lightweight Durable build Easy to empty/clean strong suction (on highest setting) The vacuum head doesn't not clump with hair or debris and is easy to clean Cons: Battery dies (relatively) quickly after 8 months of daily use) There is no light on the vacuum head (previous vacuums had an LED light that made vacuum darker areas very convenient. The vacuum head is rather tall, and cannot get into some spaces of my house The low setting is rather worthless because the suction is very low. Overall: This is a good vacuum however being cordless it runs into the same issue I have had with previous vacuums; the battery eventually does not hold a charge for long, particularly if you use the highest setting.

Pros: Cordless, lightweight for use on stairs, GREAT SUCTION!!! attachements included are great for furniture and auto. Cons: Short battery life depending on the mode ( 2 modes). will not work if its plugged in. Dyson: you should make it so we can use it with cord or cordless. LONG charging time just to turn on. Maybe i got a dud... I can see this being great for a small apartment/ light use. I know the newer versions have longer battery life, shell out the extra $$ for a newer model.

Have been on the edge about one of these for a while, but have no regrets now that i have it. I waited until it was on sale and used all the rewards points from my TV purchase which put this at a great price point. That being said, it's worth even what it retails full price for. This is the absolute best / easiest solution for stairs, cars, furniture, and also does amazing on floors of course.

I own one of these already and I bought this one for my son because I wanted him to have the best cleaner he could have and the most useful. It's a great product great price and I'm glad I bought mine.!!

Good investment. Easy to handle and clean. Is very handy and ease of use compared to the older vacuum that i had.

Yes, it's expensive just like all Dyson products. However, vacuums is something they do very well and this one is light, powerful, and super mobile. Had and issue after a year that the battery was acting up, but I had bought the extended guarantee with Best Buy. Smartest move I made cuase they took it back with no problem and I walked out with a new one. Will buy newer model when the time comes.

I love this vacuum. Its light weight and super powerful. We have 5 cats and we're forever fighting the cat hair. We have a Neato Robot vac that we also love, but this Dyson is light and nimble enough to quickly grab and run through spots that get messy or the robot misses. It hangs nicely in my pantry, so its out of the way. On Max, you only get about 6 minutes of power, but it charges quickly and the regular power works great for almost every job.

Good Vacuum. Battery isn’t the longest lasting but does ok.

This vacuum has been amazing so far. Worth every penny. I wish the battery lasted a bit longer, but I still can’t complain because it does what it’s supposed to do.

Nice little cordless vacuum if you can get it on sale. I haven't tried other brands, but having a dyson vacuum for a few years, the regular one with cord, I thought to try this. Comes in handy to vacuum little places, be quick and be able to move the little pieces on and off. Even use for my car to give it a quick 5 minute vacuum of the seats and floors. I feel the regular cord vacuums have more power, especially on carpet or rugs, but your still able to get a good vacuum from this one. The battery last very little, so plan to charge after every 10 minute use or so. It has a MAX setting which uses more power and I use it on MAX for everything, I mean, more power, more cleaning right? It charges a couple hours so best to leave it on while doing other things or at night. If you have a big house that needs a lot of vacuuming to do, then I think Dyson sells extra batteries, but one charge will not get that much completed in my opinion. You don't need to wall mount the bracket that comes with it, though it can be handy to just hang on a wall if you have space or own your own home and can put holes in the wall. You can also find a stand on amazon that you can bolt onto there and has areas to hang the parts that comes with it, which is handy. Emptying it out is very simple and overall this is a vacuum for anyone, but if you have larger homes, expect to need to charge it between your cleaning or get a spare battery to get double the use at a time. Other idea is get the models above that say more power in one charge. But that's an extra couple hundred dollars.

We love our Dyson. It’s lightweight and when at max speed does just what it needs to do! Great for pet hair, my wife even uses for her salon.

Bought this vacuum to replace the Ball Version of the Dyson. Very light weight and easy to maneuver those tight corners from first use. Seems to have better suction power and nice handheld function for those everyday tasks. Recharging can be a bit tedious if planning to use for extended use but serves it purpose for everyday tasks all in all.

Happy with this purchase and would definitely buy again.

The Dyson V8 is a solid all-round cordless vacuum that balances power, versatility and convenience. It’s not perfect, but it does many things very well and holds up as a strong value now that newer models have come out.

This vacuum is compact and powerful. Easy storage placing. I place mine on the wall for better and quicker results. Easy to use and less moving furniture around to pick up dirt. Only downside is that the battery can die in about 15-20 minutes especially if you put it on max pick up power and charges up to 5 hours fully. I guess that’s great if you don’t have a lot of carpet in the house. It great vacuum
