Bought this vacuum as a second to the larger Hoover Pet Pro I already have for cleaning the linoleum and vinyl parts of the apartment as well as quick cleanups where I don't want to lug the giant vacuum around the apartment. This works very well and surprisingly can get pretty deep in medium-pile carpet and picks up a ton of the cat hair that gets down there. It really shines though when you're on some sort of hard surface, being extremely easy to maneuver and picks up all sorts of debris with ease. The only downside I really have is that the battery leaves quite a bit to be desired, especially if you're on the high-powered setting. If you're vacuuming a large area, this might not be the best vacuum for you.

Just got this thing and I love it. Has a decent amount of attachments that go on easily for different cleaning needs. The suction power is great and the initial battery usage time is nice. Definitely pulls up the pet hair/fur.

Great little vacuum. Battery life isnt that great but it oicks up fast and I am able to vacuum my 2700sq ft home with it in one shot. Excels on stairs and hardwood floors, reaches under furniture easily.

Love this vacuum. It’s powerful but not too loud. Has great battery life and as a plus a docking station. It’s been great for our tile floors, but works great on rugs and carpet as well. Very easy to clean out the vacuum as well. Very impressed.

I bought this to keep up with pet hair and it works perfect for that. Very easy to empty and charge. I love it and there was no assembly tequired!

this replaces my first Dyson Vac that had the battery fail after 8 years, and makes the 4th Dyson I've purchased over the last few years. Yes they cost a bit more but overall they are worth it.

The thing does perfectly what it was built to do. Super fun time cleaning with no hassle lugging a heavy weight around or mangling any wires. So glad we bought this.

So far so good, the issue I was having with my previous Dyson was that right after the warranty ended it stopped holding charge longer than 10mins but hopefully this won’t be an issue with this one.

Having previously owned a Dyson V6 that finally died on me I decided to upgrade to the V8 Animal and this thing is so much stronger than the V6. Solid design, strong battery life, and an excellent selection of different adapters.

The battery doesn't last very on on deep cleaning and it takes a while to recharge otherwise this is the best vacuum I ever owned

I've used the same Rainbow for the last 24 years and it still runs, but I've broken a latch for the water basin and it makes it even less convenient to carry up and down the stairs. I've always heard decent things about Dyson, and I like their technology, so I decided to get the Dyson V8 Animal and I think it was a great decision. It's been probably a month or so and I use it almost every day. It certainly doesn't have the power of the Rainbow, but from a hand-held, it's not something you can really expect. What it lacks in airflow, it makes up for in portability, and design. When/if this one quits, I will certainly purchase another.

Vacuum is very powerful, easy to use, light weight, and the hanger allows for convenient storage. Only negative so that on max power the batter does not last as long as I would like. Overall very good product.

Excellent vacuum this model is made much better than the model before it.. will recommend it to anyome who wants a good quality vacuum

I have a big Kirby. Work great use it and then the Dyson . It pick up a lot more .

Great vacuum! No dragging cords and unplugging and plugging in. Great power and the accessories are so easy to use! The machine gets into all tight places and swivel head cuts down on lifting a heavy machine and moving furniture.

Love love love my dyson, make sure to tead the filter cleaning instructions, especially if you have pets. Definitely keeps it running smooth!!

Great vacuum. I bought it to replace an old dyson I had and its perfect. Battery lasts forever and does a great job of cleaning my whole house

Its light weight and effectiveness in cleaning the floors has worked well for us.

We have mostly hardwood floors but this works great on the carpet we do have. Very light weight, cordless so I can go over the entire house without worry. We have a chocolate lab and the amount of dog hair it picked up is gross but it works like a charm.
