To start off i wanted to try this machiene and give it a good runthrough and make sure i was giving an honest and fair review. As you know if it has the name dyson on it well it's not cheap and i dont like spending money on something if it's not going to do the job i bought the item for. I used it for a few days cleaning both my hardwood floor and my lanoliam flooring. I mope my floors at least ones a week so in my mind my floors were spotless and i could eat off them if i wanted. Well after using this machine i would have had second thoughts about eating off my floor. I was actually shocked how much nastiness came up off my floors like exactly just how much grime i was just swiriling around on my floors with a mop. As you can see in the pictures just the amount of grossness that water is. And to be honest i did not have any floor cleaner mixed in with the clean water it was a drip of dish soap just to have something in with the water for cleaning. But i did get some actuall clenaer and re did the floors and was amazed how much more dirt came up. The floor cleaner is a godsend. I love it. It's simple to put together out of the blox. You litterally click a few things together to make it on part. Make sure you charge the batter once you get it before your first use. Also on the battery it last for quite awhile and it has a little display on the handle that shows the charge remainig as you use it. While cleaning i was using the max setting. You press the button on the handle and it puts down more water as you use the floor cleaner. I was having to refill the water every id say about 10 minutes using the max setting. On normal it would go quite a bit longer before having to refill it. All in all if you have the extra money this machiene gets the job done and it does an amazing job. I could not be happier with it.

I read review after review on this and was on the fence about spending this kind of money! Im so glad did! It is so worth the money! Right out of the box, I was impressed! I’ve owned many Dysons over the years, and I absolutely love the durability, their functions, and the ease of using their items. The set up was super easy. Understanding the settings and functions was easy as well. The charging station takes up about a 1’ x 1’ area, but I’m willing to sacrifice that space for this item. The first time I ran this across my kitchen floor, I really thought my kitchen floor was clean, I was wrong! The amount of dirt and grime that was in the purge tank was unreal. We don’t wear our shoes in the house and I do have a dog, but I clean my kitchen floors at least 2 to 3 times a week. I was completely amazed by this product.

When it works, it does a nice job. When it doesn't, well... I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. All too frequently I get the message that I need to empty the dirty water tank, when it's already completely empty. Take it apart, put it back together, again and again, until eventually whatever it uses to detect the water level starts working again. And trying to get the message to go away... ugh, I usually end up pulling the battery because you can't get the message to go away using any of the buttons. The little debris tray under the rollers will often become full of water that does not get pulled up into the dirty tank. This becomes a situation where, because the tray is full a you didn't know, you leave trails and sometimes puddles of dirty water on your clean floor. Now today... I dropped the clean tank when trying to trouble shoot the "empty dirty water issue", because the release for the tanks from the coupler is so light that it's extremely easy to activate. Now the clean tank leaks and the entire unit is unusable. It landed on the top, where what looks to be a sticker is located. Turns out it's not a sticker, it's a valve. They didn't drop test these on hardwood floors?!?!? For real? TL;DR- the tank system has some serious design flaws and trouble shooting the issue will cause frustration rivaling any printer or copier ever produced. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I bought this with the main intent of performing 2 functions into 1 (vacuum + mop). Surprised how much cleaner it got my hardwood floors than conventional mopping. Didn't go 5 stars for 2 reasons: 1. Self cleaning needs to be done after every use otherwise the components can get pretty nasty. 2. If you want to clean with more than water there aren't very clear directions from Dyson. They show a house brand of product that doesn't appear to be available in the U.S. I would recommend and buy it again.

Really love the ease of how this works! Yes, you have to clean the bottom trap part each time but it isnt that hard. It self cleans in seconds. Inhave only cleaned with water no cleaner and my floors are clean as ever. I have tile and it works great. Does have a hard time gettingbinto the grout and takes afew swips but other than that I am overly impressed.

I'm really impressed with this floor cleaner, it's very functional and does what it's meant to do. That being said, it does have some issues: Firstly, the red and gray tray on the underside constantly 'fall off' - this is a real annoyance as it dumps all the water in it onto the newly cleaned floor Secondly, the water tank mechanism feels really cheap, like it could break at any moment cheap. For the price point I wouldn't expect these types of issues.

Its so much better than the Bissell Crosswave. Easy to use, easy to clean. Easy to fill the water. It separates the solids into a tray mounted in the cleaning head. It's self propelled, as it works like a Segway where you push the handle forward to increase the forward speed, or lean the handle back and it reverses. Super smooth, very intuitive. It meters out the water automatically per 1 of 3 setting. Its so nice. If you like other Dyson products, this is just as nice. Quiet too. Can use soap or no soap. 10/10.

Definitely simplifies washing hard floors. Not perfect though, doesn’t get very close to baseboards. About an inch or two that it’s unable to clean. Also being that you’re using strictly clean water to wash the floor it doesn’t feel very hygienic. The locking mechanism to hold the vacuum upright is pretty flimsy, for the weight of the water bottles. I’ve had it fall over a few times. For the price point it’s not really worth it.

Overall, it’s a great machine and cleans well. However if you have textured floors (like travertine), or tiled floors, this is not for you. It doesn’t clean in those groves. Dyson missed the mark on that detail. The brushes are smoother rollers and don’t account for groves in the flooring. Now if you have smooth floors, this machine is amazing.

This is the best floor cleaning device I have ever purchased. It cleans my Hardwood and tile floors perfectly. No more vacuuming first, no more chemical cleaner's. With Dyson washG1 I just add just water. It is easy to clean and use and the floors look fantastic.

Easy to use and great battery life. The tank full sensor is a bit off.

Amazing product from Dyson as always. I use this for daily or weekly cleaning. Not meant for really filthy floors but saves me time when I do perform a deep clean. The simplicity of the machine is a game changer in my opinion. I have tried a lot of others.

This is the best floor cleaner device that I purchase. I use this daily on my hard floor works great. It’s a great Dyson machine cleans very well.

Perfect for a rapid cleaning add a spoon of low foam cleaner and work incredible rinse the tank after that to avoid buildup

It really is a great mop and cleaned my floor so quick.

Used a couple times but after i swept vaccumed and mopped this was alright for like the last sweep of cleaning .. but since it doesnt use soap or actually suck up to clean it just seemed like i was sloshing water around the floors. Not worth $800 i returned this one. I guess im looking more for a stanley steam floor cleaning system. Do your reviews forst before buying this dyson product.

Not worth the money we have ceramic tile throughout the house and all it did was leave water on floor not for us the dryer does not work that great in our opinion maybe others with wood had better results but machine not for ceramic floors

I reallt wanted to love this. Dyson is king of vacuums and they make high quality, beautiful products. This machine is gorgeous. It seems high quality. The battery is removable, and the clear waste bin is great for reminding you that you forgot to empty it. The positives stop there. They chose to not use a vacuum cleaner on this machine. The result is that it doesn’t suck up anything off of grout on tiled floors, as others have mentioned. I don’t care how long you explain why you thought not having a vacuum included was better, I just want the product to work. I crumbled some crackers onto the floor and ran this next to a Tineco. The Tineco immediately sucked up the crackers out of the grout, and the floor was spotless. Not only did the Dyson not remove the crumbs from the grout, it turned them into a soggy mess, that even the Tineco had issues completely removing. You can spend less money than what this Dyson costs and get a mop that cleans AND drys the brushroll, and has edge to edge cleaning. I also prefer to have all my water and waste in one bin. Having two seperate collection points for waste and water is tedious. The brush rolls stay wet after self cleaning, and will get moldy and nasty smelling after a while if you don’t remove them. The base of the machine is also too large. Yes, it covers more square footage in slightly less time, but it can’t fit between my toilets and the walls next to them, and it’s cumbersome to maneuver conpared to other brands. I very sadly cleaned, dried, and packed this back up so it could be sold as open box. If you don’t have grout, this machine would be great. Dyson really dropped the ball this time.
