Terrible. Works good for like 15 minutes then starts to leave like a soapy dirty trail everywhere. Biggest waste of money ever

As a homeowner with every floor but the bedrooms being hardwood, this is something I was really excited to try out. I also want to add right off the bat that I have both dogs and cats as well as children making excessive messes daily. I have to say this wash mop itself is absolutely invaluable now that I've used it. Of course, I still use my vacuum when there is excessive debris, but this makes every other situation an all in one job, which is absolutely amazing, especially with kids. During use, it has a little screen on top of the handle which allows you to change the amount of water that you're able to use while mopping, which is super nice on the fly if you run into a harder stain to bring up, like spilled juice, for instance, you can just crank it up to max, and it will take care of it. I think what most impressed me is the fact that this does amazingly well at the mopping portion. I guess it makes sense because it does have twin rollers that rotate in opposite directions with only very tiny wheels in the middle on the tray, which seems to be a really clever design for maximum effectiveness. I can say my toddlers do a lot of dropping of foods, and what used to be questionable for my vacuum and leave me on my hands and knees all day with paper towels, this thing just takes care of. We're talking anything from cereal to pasta to pizza; it doesn't matter, it literally just cleans it. The cleaning-up portion, I'm not so keen on, but that is just the nature of the beast with a machine like this. The tray gathers a lot of debris and junk that you roll over very well, although it is all plastic things locked together nicely. Cleaning out the tray and the rollers can get a little gross at times, which is the part that is kind of off-putting, but you just have to remember the time that you saved by using a machine like this makes it worth it. Now, there is a self-cleaning mode after the fact, but you do need to manually clean this machine after every few uses anyways, or things will accumulate everywhere. When you use the self-wash function, just note that it uses a lot of water, and the rollers end up soaking wet, so if you plan to have it sitting there for quite a while, it could be days later, and they will still be wet. Just keep that in mind, depending on how you use it. The charging station also doesn't have a lip around the edge, so water can sometimes go underneath. Just be aware, and everything is good. Speaking of the charging station, the battery lasts 35 minutes or so, and this is genuinely correct. You run out of water much faster than battery though, in my use cases, so you won't be cleaning your entire house with one tank of water, that's for sure. One battery though, could definitely do the trick. It is removable, so if you want, you could buy a second battery if you have a lot of flooring like I do. I really like that the water tanks for the clean and dirty water are crystal clear, so it's not hard to look at and see what you've accomplished so far, which usually makes for a good sense of satisfaction, seeing how nasty the dirty water is coming back lol. Overall, in this space, there is a lot of competition, but with a brand like Dyson, you know you're getting a high-quality product that's very innovative and is always the best in its category. I highly recommend this, especially to parents and pet owners, as it makes cleaning up messes from them much easier.

Great performing hard floor electric mop

Cleans floors very well and battery lasts for full single story house with remaining charge to spare. Comes apart easily and goes back together in a slew of simple clicks and twists. Adjustable moisture control is very useful and the unit glides across surfaces with little effort. Definitely recommend vacuuming floors first especially with pets since the solid waste portion of the catch tray might become overloaded. That makes this more of an electric mop with constantly washed rollers than a traditional suction based hard floor washer, but it is no less effective. I disagree comments that the flt and finish are substandard - it’s a great machine aside from the dock which is garbage. Happy to have this hard floor cleaner and look forward to years of use.

The G1 is great at cleaning floors But......

Dyson WashG1 The G1 comes well packaged, the Dyson WashG1 comes with a charging stand that also is used for its self cleaning. You download the MyDyson app from either Google play store for androids or apple store for IOS devices. You put the G1 together very easily and put it on the charger. You then add the G1 to the MyDyson app; that has the manual / instructions and videos demonstrating the use. You fill the water tank with water only. Very easy to remove the clean and dirty water tanks. You tap the power button twice to start the machine. You can choose 1, 2, 3 and MAX, then start cleaning the floors, when powered off the Dyson WashG1 is a little heavy but when using the washer to clean the floors, the G1 just glides over the floor, the G1 does not go over rugs at all. When done you empty the dirty water tank and fill the clean tank with water then put the G1 back on the base and press the clean button to clean the unit automatically. You can easily remove the rollers and the filter in between the rollers to clean them. Now the bad Manual says to change the rollers every 25 hours that's about 6 months at $60 for 1 set of rollers or $95 for 2 sets Then the front and back brush bars are $15 each. I believe this is a lot but would believe we should find less expensive options. I am on my second G1 as the first one broke after a week, the first one stopped sucking up water. When i called Dyson they asked me if I ran the clean cycle after every use and used the Dyson cleaning fluid that does not co.e with the G1 or is mentioned anywhere when I got it. Matter in fact when I got the the G1 their was no mention or availability of any cleaning fluid. I have to say Dyson swapped the unit very quickly and easily, all I had to do was bring the G1 to any UPS store with no box, within 4 days I had a brand new one. The very best and easiest warranty exchange by any company. Pros - Best warranty you can get from any company. - Floors are really clean, does a perfect job at cleaning floors. - Very easy to remove rollers and cleaning tray filter. - tanks are super easy to empty and fill. Negatives - rollers only last 6 months or 25 hours. - need to get cleaning solution that does not come with the unit. - Uses a lot of water when you put it in a clean cycle. - Does not do any kind of rug. I am torn between 2 or 3 stars, a 2.5 out of 5 for the G1 would be perfect in my opinion, I am giving it a 3 but know I meant it to be 2.5.
