They made a lot of updates to the AI and player models, which may not be a "flashy" new feature but at this point it's all about game refinement.

Even the opening for each game is the same with everyone waving lights. Franchise mode UI is different and is the only improvement I see on that mode. but is still the same on the backend on how it plays which is fine.
